Lucas Young

I co-own a web agency and was one of the founders and CTO of the web's largest online cannabis community, HERB.co (formerly The Stoners Cookbook).

I describe myself as a multipotentialite because I've yet to find a neat box or category into which I can be installed. At university, I've studied astrophysics, quantum physics, electronics, computer science, philosophy, Russian and film. At film school, I graduated as an editor. I've written and directed a number of short films. I was 2nd Assistant Director on a horror feature shot in Hollywood. I worked with Sir Peter Jackson's team at Weta Digital in Wellington on the final Lord of the RIngs film, Return of the King. I once fell off a cliff, and that tale resulted in me winning the car on New Zealand's version of Wheel of Fortune. I was a web developer for 20 years, and our agency still manages the Asia/Pacific web presence for Hasbro, Inc. 

Right now? I'm working on Deep Learning projects using TensorFlow and Python, and I'm involved in cryptocurrency development and investment. I'm also working on a screenplay.
