[I'm not a tennis player, I just enjoyed the drama and wanted to write this, so, many stuff might be very wrong!]
The second doubles game started, Yu Feng quickly gained a point.
"Seems like it wasn't because of luck that they had beaten No. 40 High School." The coach says, Lu Jia agreeing with her, the girl on the floor next to Siyang and the coach listening to the two
"But that doesn't mean they're better than us." She says shrugging, Siyang looking at her
"Put a jacket on your legs or you'll get sunburned and a very bad tan." He says, the girl sighing
"I put sunscreen on before lying down, don't worry."
"If you get sunburned, you won't be able to play, remember that." The coach says, the girl sighs before getting up
"You guys are mean. I'll be back." She leaves to get a drink, Ziping going after her without trying to be obvious
After they reach the machine, the boy decided to speak "Hello." She flinches a little before turning around
"Oh, hello."
"I haven't seen you ever since I saved you."
"Yeah, thank you again about that." She smiles picking up her drink
"No need to thank me again, you already did that about twenty times that day." He chuckles choosing a drink "By the way, why are you still using the sand bags?"
"Nothing much. Come on, we need to go back." The two walk together after the boy gets his drink trying to know each other better, but, when they reach the court, the girl runs to her team seeing that Xing Long and Zhuo Zhi were no longer playing
"What happened?" She asks Dayong worried seeing Xing Long whimper after Zhuo Zhi touched his arm
"The bandana guy from the other team hit a wave ball, Xing Long stopped it, broke his racket and most probably his arm." He explains
"We're quitting the game." She sighs in relief at Zhuo Zhi's words, she knew that Xing Long would never give up even while being hurt
"Are you kidding? I can still go on."
"It doesn't matter. Other players will win for us." Lu Jia smiles softly when the injured boy looks her way
'We will win, don't worry.' She thinks as Xing Long drops the racket
"Sorry, it's my bad." Zhuo Zhi picks the fallen racket before the two go back to their team
"Xing Long, are you okay?" The coach asks as Lu Jia steps forward, her eyes full of worry
"Yes."
"Don't lie." Lu Jia says serious before touching his elbow making him whimper
"As I can see, you should go to the hospital to have it checked, especially the radius in the forearm."
"Is it that serious?"
"Sorry."
"It doesn't matter. Take it easy. Coach, can I accompany Xing Long to the hospital?"
"You can go Zhuo Zhi." The coach says
"Don't hurt yourself again, please." She says looking at him with worried eyes
"We have to go, come on." She waves at the two boys, Lu Xia hugging her shoulders
"Come on, let's win for him." She smiles nodding determined
"Seems like my data isn't accurate enough. I didn't care much about the opponents."
"Yu Feng defeated a strong team in the first round of the preliminary. We should be careful with the next competitions." Both teams look at each other, Ziping smiling a little at the girl who smiled back
"You know Ziping?" Qiao Chen asks confused
"Not really, I guess..."
"Wait, I remember him!" Jiale says "He saved you last time, right?" She nods
"Saved you?" Lu Xia asks
"She almost got ran over but he saved her in time." Dayong explains
"And I didn't get to know this for what reason?" Lu Xia asks, the girl looking away smiling nervously
"Anyways, next are Chen Desen and Wei Kefei from Yu Feng. There's little information about them. Dayong, Jiale. You have to depend on yourselves."
"No problem."
"Good luck." Qiao Chen says walking past them while pulling Lu Jia with him
"Okay."
"It's rare for you to be so serious." Jiale scoffs
"Of course." The match finally starts, the students cheering for their team
"Okay, I know you said you don't know him that much, but I thinking you're lying." He says causing the girl to choke a bit on her drink
"Hey, none of that bullshit." She glares at him putting the can on the floor "We met then, and we met today. Only on these two days."
"Then, why did you and him get out of here at the same time?" He asks smirking
"He was the one following me. I just went to get a soda." She says blushing
"Are you sure it wasn't to go and..." He starts making kissing sound
"Of course not!" She almost yells jumping up and putting a hand on his mouth, some of the audience looking at them "Are you a fucking idiot? If my brother hears this, he might kill me, you and then Ziping!" She whispers to him, Qiao Chen rolls his eyes as she takes her hand off his mouth
"Oh, please. He would never."
"He almost flew to Australia when I got in a relationship. Killing would be nothing for him." She says flicking his forehead
"He what now?" He asks shocked
"Yep. So, no more talking about that." She says before going to Siyang's side, Lu Xia sitting next to Qiao Chen
"Only Chi Dayong, who has a quick reaction, and broader vision can coordinate with Jiale. This is coordination. Those are the only ones who can be called the golden partners. Lu Xia, can you see it?"
"Coach, I'm thirsty. I'll go and buy some drinks." Siyang inhales sharply, Lu Jia holding his hand
"Let him go." She says seeing her brother leave
"He's new, he has a lot more to learn." The coach says "Lu Jia, go warm up a bit." She nods taking her sand bags off before going to where Baiyang was starting her stretching
TIME SKIP
The golden partners finished the game winning, Lu Jia smiled softly fixing her ponytail and hat "Now, the fourth singles player, please enter the court!" She takes a deep breath entering with a smile
"I hope we have a good game." They shake hands, Yong Xi serious while the younger girl smiled
"I do as well." They go to their side of the court
"Yu Qing's serve." Lu Jia grabs a ball hitting it on the ground before asking to switch it "Don't take much time." She glares at the man who slightly flinches
Lu Jia does the serve, the ball goes back and forward until Lu Jia gets a point by using Qiao Chen's trick, Vertical Smash. Sooner or later, they're 4-3, Lu Jia winning, it was Yong xi's turn to serve again.
Lu Jia starting to feel irritated stopped using other player's techniques, and finally used her own surprising everyone and earning a point.
She used The Spring (unoriginal name, ew), a ball that hits the ground extremely close to the net on the opponents side of the court and springs 13 feet (4 meters) high up into the air.
"So, you do have your own tricks." The older girl says smirking
"Never said I didn't have them." She scoffs rolling her eyes
"Why did she change her strategy so suddenly?" Jiale asks
"She's getting angry." Lu Xia says
"Why?" Dayong asks as they hear the referee saying Lu Jia won another point
"She doesn't like matches longer than fifteen minutes very much unless the opponent is worthy. She's getting angry that Yong Xi is prolonging the game." He explains seeing his sister use the Zero Chip earning a point
"Isn't Yong Xi worthy? I mean, she is handling Lu Jia well." Qiao Chen asks confused
"Worthy as in making Lu Jia actually want to play against them for hours."
"If you notice, Lu Jia is frowning, she probably wants to finish the game quickly." Siyang says, the boys finally noticing
"Will her being angry affect the results?" Jiale asks Lu Xia worried
"No, most probably not." They sigh relieved
"Are you perhaps becoming annoyed Lu Jia?" Everyone looks at Yong Xi confused "You're frowning, you're also becoming slightly red, or maybe, it's exhaustion." Lu Jia takes a deep breath, she was becoming extremely annoyed and she was indeed a little exhausted
"You know, you sure love to talk for some who is losing." She says before feeling a little lightheaded, she stops in her place closing her eyes a little
"Hey, are you okay?" Yong Xi asks worried dropping the act
"Just great." She glares at the girl before going to her teammates who looked just as worried
"Lu Jia, are you really okay?" She smiles nodding at Siyang before downing the rest of the water on her bottle, a bead of sweat running down her jawline to her neck
"Lu Jia, if you aren't feeling okay, tell us right away." Lu Xia says holding her bicep
"I know big bro. Don't worry." She takes his hat off, ruffles his hair before going back to the court
"This set starts with Yu Qing's serve." The girl fixes the hat on her head before smirking
She starts with a Twist Serve, but weaker than previously, however, Yong Xi still couldn't defend herself from it. She serves again with a normal one this time, the ball goes back and forth until Yong Xi scores by smashing it on the other side of the opposite court from where Lu Jia was.
Lu Jia serves again using a Invisible serve earing a point, she then does a Tannhauser serve earning another point, it was 40-15. Lu Jia decides to do a normal serve this time, before using The Spring again earning the final point. The match ended with a score of 6-3, Yu Qing winning.
"It was a good game." Yong Xi says as they shake hands
"Yeah, it was." She forces a smile before going to her teammates
"You okay?" Jiale asks as she sits on the floor, Baiyang getting ready to enter the court
"Yeah. Just don't like long matches very much." She says before drinking some water from the bottle her brother gave to her
TIME SKIP
Baiyang's game was still going, Lu Jia was feeling better after eating a cereal bar and drinking some more water.
"Baiyang..." She sighs before her eyes widen seeing the new type of Boomerang Snake he did "Wow." She smiles shocked
"Feeling better?" She nods looking at Siyang "Good, I don't need another player hurt." He pats her head before looking at the court again
After a few minutes pass and some points are made, Baiyang starts feeling tired. Lu Jia getting more worried as the older boy sits next to her.
"Baiyang, what are you afraid of? Is it useful to swing your racket randomly? Aren't you ashamed?"
"Coach..." Dayong gets up, Siyang shaking his head making him quiet down
"Do you only have one stunt? Don't you have other ways to defeat your opponent?" The silence stays "Baiyang. Don't forget about what you're really good at." He gets up before walking away
"You will lose face if you lose the match." Lu Xia says, Baiyang looking at him
"You don't have to remind me." He walks back to the court
TIME SKIP
Soon, they reach the match point, Baiyang winning after saving the ball, the team getting up happy. Lu Jia doing the same but more calmly.
"Lu Xia, it's your turn." Lu Jia sees Qiao Chen get up to grab something and goes with him
"Why did you come with me?"
"Because I can." She rolls her eyes as they reach where people were cheering for their respective team, Lu Jia looking as Qiao Chen stopped by a figure with a Spiderman mask
"Lu Xiangqian?" Her eyes widen before she gets closer seeing his hat
"Dad?! Why are you here?" She asks sitting on the other side of the man far from Qiao Chen
"You can recognize me?"
"It's because of the stupid hat." The girl says shaking her head
"Didn't you know? This is the limited edition of Hua Chenyu's products. This is something only loyal fans can get." The girl's father chuckles taking the hat away
"Excuse me, I didn't prepare enough. But I have to admit, you have good taste." The girl scoffs
"You both are just nerds."
"Are you here today to watch the twins' matches?"
"I am not. I dropped by on the way to buy some food." The girl rolls her eyes chuckling
"He's starting with a Twist serve."
"It is a powerful start."
TIME SKIP
After a few minutes, Lu Jia left the two idiots, as she liked to call them, going back to the bench next to the Golden Partners as Lu Xia went back to the court.
"Lu Xia is underestimating his opponent again, right?" Jiale nods and she sighs before seeing Yiwu doing a twist serve as well taking the hat off of her brother's head, her eyes growing in size "This will be fun to watch." She murmurs
