"what? a secret santa? that's really cool," jisoo wiggled beside me. i don't know what to say, really.
this secret santa may or may not be a good thing. and i don't really know what i want to receive on our christmas party. should i write that i want concert tickets on my wishlist?
"earth to you, lalisa," i snapped back when jisoo shook my shoulders, it's so forceful i think my torso is gonna come off.
"what will you write on your wishlist? we're gonna pass it tomorrow so you should start thinking about what you like," she's smiling from ear-to-ear in front of me.
"what's that smile all about?" my brows furrowed at jisoo's weirdness.
"do you know that blackpink merch that i really wanna get? that's what i will write here," her eyebrows wiggled. how can she be this excited about this secret santa?
blackpink is a girl group that she really like. i don't know that much about them but i have seen that their main dancer is very good. i guess, i will just write something related to music on my wishlist.
as i was about to get my pen from my case, my classmates at the back of our classroom suddenly shrieked, causing me and jisoo to look at them.
they're from the same squad. the girls, irene, joy, rosie,and nayeon, are laughing at something that their other member, jennie is saying.
"then let's just bet, the one who picked the most handsome one will get a new bag from the other four," irene rolled her eyes, i can see from my location.
it's a good thing the boys in our class are all outside. some of them are on the gym practicing for their year-end games, while the others are getting things for our christmas party.
wind from outside the window entered are classroom, i am still looking at the girl squad and i saw how their hairs were blown by the wind. i was about to look back at my wishlist when i saw jennie flipped her hair, and my oh my, she looks ethereal.
i have never been vocal about my crush on jennie, and i absolutely not gonna tell her that even if we graduated now. i just want to look at her everyday, from my seat. she has these eyes that you'll really be attracted to. beautiful is an understatement of what she is. she is just a literal goddess.
an idea came into my mind. what if i want to have a date with jennie? NO. the one who will receive my wishlist will laugh. and i don't wanna be a laughing stock of my classmates, especially if jennie will be involved.
maybe i'll just write something that can benefit me or my friend.

"hey, it's your turn to draw now," rosie is winking at me, i don't if it is because she has a better draw or she's challenging me to be extra lucky.
i walked to the center of the class and wiggled in my hand on the box that contains our wishlist. i really hope it will be a good one. i grabbed one of the papers and reached for my hand. turns out, another wishlist slipped into the bi-folded paper and the other fell on the floor.
i picked the wishlist on the floor and contemplated about which one i will choose. i kinda felt bad about the fallen paper so i decided to go with it. i hope this will be the lucky one. nayeon stood up beside my unoccupied chair and walked towards me. i was about to put the other wishlist i hadn't chosen, but nayeon grabbed it.
"i think this is the lucky one because you picked it," nayeon winked at me and went back to her seat. i just rolled my eyes at her and also smiled as i went back.
everyone after us, also went to the box to pick their choice. when all of us were done choosing, the president of our class allowed us to open it finally.
i opened mine real quick and was about to read it when nayeon screeched beside me.
"i told you, jennie. you're really the luckiest one," the squad rushed into her and peeked at her wishlist.
"oh my gosh! nayeon is the winner!" irene looks like she's about to burst off. she really like the bag that we're betting on, i can't imagine her disappointment right now.
"kai said here that he wants to have a new american football, this is easy!" nayeon made an ok sign. kai is unofficial heartthrob of our class, which means, nayeon is the winner on our bet.
great! now, i will need to spend money for another bag. this is the third time nayeon had robbed me the prize. well, i am not mad, she just like to cling off my luck, it's actually funny sometimes.
i almost forgot my wishlist. i turned to it, and i almost laughed at what the paper says.
i don't know what will i write here, i actually wants to have a date with the most beautiful girl in class, but i don't wanna spill who she is. so, just gift me an album of blackpink. that way, i will have a gift for my friend on christmas without buying one.

it's the day of the party. the gifts are arranged in one corner of our room. our classmates are excited. especially nayeon, i can see her big smile from my direction.
we already gave her the prize a little while ago, and the girl is loving it. on the other hand, irene has her brows furrowed.
when i was buying the item that i will give to lisa, i bought irene the new bag, but i'm not gonna tell her until christmas.
i looked at the gift corner. my gift for lisa was placed on a small box, around 6 inches on each side. i mean, it's just an album. and a note...

"what is that?" jisoo looked at the box i'm holding. it was from my secret santa. i also know that it's the other option i wrote on the wishlist, so i'm not gonna open it while i'm with jisoo.
i went straight up to my room when i got home from the party. i'm really excited to open it even though i already know what's inside. the party jist went through like a blur. it's lit. everybody's happy and we all had fun, i just decided to go home early just to open the box.
the box has a red ribbon laced around it. i never really cared about boxes before but this looks special, and kind of familiar..
as i opened the box, the familiar look of the album i have seen on the internet met my eyes. it's just a black box with an iridescent finish on it, and with a pink crown on it. the album looks really girly and i don't understand how jisoo would like this because she's more of a boyish type than girly.
i picked up the album. i'm supposed to put this on another box since i would give this to her as a gift for christmas. did you like how thrifty i can be?
i was about to put the box away when a paper caught my eye. it was placed under the album. it is a hard paper with a scent on it, i kind of smelled it so don't be confused.
about your other choice, i think i can also help you with that. am i the only one who thinks your crush is on the girl squad? you look at one of them with heart on your eyes and i really don't get it. meet me at the mall on 23rd, at 3PM.

i feel like i'm walking really slow. i want to surprise myself about my secret santa. it's the 23rd and i'm near the meeting place. please make me lucky today.
i literally stop at my tracks when i saw a familiar figure on the meeting place. what the heck is she doing here? i feel stunned. i quickly checked my clothes and everything. i reached for my phone from my pocket and clumsily checked if my bangs are okay. i straightened my shirt when i saw small creases on it. i have never been a panicking mess my whole life until now.
i froze more than i was freezing a while ago when jennie turned her head in my direction. and i heard myself gulped very hard when she waved at me. i even look behind me just to make sure that she's waving at me. i awkwardly waved back at her and i swear to heavens, i look like i'm containing myself from pooping. i want to slap myself right now.
"hey, did you know that i kinda thought you're not going to be here," oh my lord, her voice is so sweet i'm gonna faint.
"is it only me or you're blushing right now?", my eyes went wide at her comment.
"uh- no, no. w-why would i blush?", i facepalmed myself on my mind as i heard myself stutter. stop being a mess, lalisa.
"you're gonna meet your crush today. and me..," she pointed at herself before continuing, "as your secret santa, will grant you wish," she is my secret santa?
i cursed silently when i saw a smile crept on her face. how the heck does she look ethereal?
"why are you so quiet? tell me, who is your crush in our squad and why is it irene?" she smirked at me. i almost forgot what she is saying because of that darn smirk.
"you...", her expression changed when i uttered a word.
"what do you mean me?" i saw how her brows furrowed in confusion and i freaking love it.
"you look beautiful tod-" i bit my lip when i heard what i said. i can't believe it slipped out. how can i be this embarrassing?
she looks really goddess-like with her dress. and i am not exaggerating, but she is just glowing with so much beautiful energy. can i just simp over her?
she started walking, leaving me a few steps behind her.
"stop joking, lisa. do you want me to call irene now, so you can start your date?" i stopped when i heard what she said. did she think that my crush is irene? holy cow, this is not good. should i tell her? oh no, i don't want that. it's embarrassing.
"but you are my crush", i whispered.
"i heard that," she suddenly stopped walking and turned around to face me.
"uh- no, don't take it the wrong way. i-i just, you know, you look beautiful and you're so smart and you look so cool every single day and i just like everything about you, and i don't know why," i inhaled a deep breath as i finish. jennie looks flushed.
"wow..." jennie blurted out, her cat-like eyes widening. "is that why you're looking at me deeply everytime, don't you think i don't notice that?" she continued.
"h-hey, i.. i don't mean to look like a total creep. it's just that, you.. you have everything and i can't help but imagine what would it feel like to be with you, to hold your hand, to have a date with you, things like that.." i admit it, i feel like i'm a freak. who the heck would confess to the girl she likes in the middle of a freaking mall?
"i don't get it. you said you don't want to tell who your crush is and now, you're confessing to me. you also told me that i'm your crush but why are you also looking at irene with heart eyes?", her brows furrowed again and i can see how her eyes changed.
"no, no no, i look at irene with awe because you're always with her. and i also don't want you to mistake things so i told you who my real crush is," jennie's face softened. she took a big step towards me.
"lisa, make sure i'm your only crush," i giggled when i saw her raise her brow. how can she be this cute?
"of course. as you can see, all i really want for christmas is you.." i saw her roll her eyes.
"fine. how about a movie date?" she looked at me fiercely as she raised two movie tickets infront of me. i swear, this is the best christmas ever!
i kind of knew it from the start that this secret santa is a good thing.
