D: What'd I do?
V: You didn't do anything. I'm telling you that the TV is broken
[V standing in arch of living room, kids in foreground, especially D. V gestures to the living room]
D: What?
V: The TV. It's broken. I don't know what happened
[R and Da continue drawing, kinda embarrassed, as D looks at his mom, who is off-screen]
V: I mean, I thought someone might've broken in, so I didn't say anything about it before, but there are no signs of forced entry.
D: Okay. It's not like I broke it or anything and had Richard dispose of the evidence.

V: What?
D: Nothing✔️
[Med shot as V embraces D in a hug, d pushes away and acts meaaan]
V: You're not in trouble, Don. Was it an accident?
D: I didn't break the TV!
[closeup of V, stern]
V: Donathan D. Donathan please don't tell me your lying
[closeup of D, exasperated]
D: Why would I be lying???✔️
[shot of Dash and R focused on drawing again, but Dash has face close to table as she scribbles and R is but a mere head and hands as he slinks down in his chair]
V: Don't you dare give me that tone, mister! I was just asking a question! Sometimes, with the way you act, I consider taking my mother's advice!
D: I don't have any tone! I'm telling the truth!
V: Hey! Don't raise your voice at me! You aren't making your case any better!
[closeup of V towering over D]
D: I'm NOT raising my voice at you! And I don't have any case!
V: Don't you dare YELL to me with that tone of voice! I am your mother and you have to understand that there are consequences to your actions! So don't ever backtalk me again, okay???
D: I wasn't backtalking you!
[Angry closeup of V]
V: I AM THE PARENT AND YOU ARE THE CHILD!!!
[closeup of D]✔️
[same closeup but he's smirking]
D: Well, duh✔️
[med wide shot as V smacks D on the back of his head]
D: (kkkH!) or (ackkk!)
V: You are unbelievable! Now you're in even more trouble for the way you've acted! You and Dick will not be going to see Santa at the mall tomorrow
[med closeup as V walks to the kitchen, kids in dinning room in background behind her]
V: Anyways, I'm going to go back to making lunch. How does grilled cheese sound to you all?
[shot of dinning room table, Dash melting on the table and R barely visible where he sits. D rubs where his mom smacked sense into him and picks up a crayon]
[same shot, but Dash and R perk up as D smiles and speaks]
D: So, you guys excited for Christmas?
R: Yep
Da: Yeah!
[Dash med-closeup, closing her eyes and holding a crayon to her finger]
Dash: I'll tell you what I want for Christmas... either a Barbie Power Wheels Corvette or a Baby Talking Tattletail
R: You know the exact name of the car?
Da: Of course!
[D and R exchange looks while Dash still speaks]
Dash: I'm torn between being able to ride around in a cool, little car or play with Tattletail. Those things are so fluffy and cute, though, it's hard to choose!
[Dash looks off to the side, daydreaming and smiling]
Dash: It'd probably be more fun with Tattletail, honestly.
[same shot as d and r before, but they are looking away]
Dash: What about you guys?
Dash: Hey, what's up with you two?
[Closeup of R, concerned]
R: Hey, Dashlie, what if we told you...
[cut to: outside of house]
Dash: Sounds made-up, is what I would say
[back to the table. All kids are visible. Dash leans against her hand, R holds his hands up]
R: But it's true! We both saw it!
Dash: How do you know you both weren't dreaming
D: As cool as having the same dream at the same time sounds, my knees are still scuffed from falling down the stairs. It's real.
[med closeup of Dash, sighing]
Dash: *sigh* Okay, I'll play along.
Dash: I've watched a lot of horror movies in my time
[shot of R and D looking at her as she is offscreen]
Dash: First, never split up. It's dumb. Try your best to stay together

Dash: Second, don't make too much noise. It'll give you away and you'll be caught
[all three friends at table]
Dash: Third, don't back yourself into a corner. Make sure there's always a way to escape.
[Dash continues drawing as boys look at her]
[R furrows his eyebrows]
R: Wait, you're allowed to watch horror movies?

Dash: Well, yeah. Your parents don't let you?
R: Never in a million years!
