Jake grins flashing his lengthening canines. Relaxing my stance I widen my feet feeling the looseness of the dirt underneath my feet. Andrew nods probably talking with Jake through the mind link formulating a plan. Landin stands off to the side ready to intervene if necessary his mate Allison leaning on his side.

"On the count of three Delta, you count," Jake calls his eyes flashing amber.

Landin nods "one," he calls the group of people surrounding us to fidget. "Two," Landin shouts over the murmuring crowd, Andrew growls playfully snapping his canines. "Three," not waiting for a second longer we launch at each other.

Jake and Andrew with their claws and canines extended amber eyes shining. My red eyes are as vibrant as my fangs gleam. We meet at the center of the circle moving with fast strikes. Andrew slashes at me his claws gliding over where my middle would have been as I move out of the way. I duck as Jake comes up behind me slashing at my neck. Kicking my feet out I nock Andrew in the shin sliding out to the side so both are in front of me again.

Our quick exchange shocks the others as we blur around each other in a deadly dance. Catching Jake's wrist I twist it painfully extending claws of my own and slicing his forearm. He growls backing out of my reach. Rowan giggles from the sidelines at his father's miss fortune. Andrew takes up the place Jake abandoned exchanging blows with me.

Forming an ice knife I cut a deep wound in his abdomen smirking at his frustrated growl I dance back out of reach. Andrew growls looking towards Jake, they nod at each other sliding into defensive stances. I eye them tentatively holding my knife in front of my face readily.

They grin before jumping into the air and landing in their wolf form. They shake out their fur Andrew in his dark brown wolf matches his hair and Jake in his grey matches his eyes. Man the good wolf genes run in the family I can't wait to see Rowan's wolf I heard it is auburn like his hair.

They growl at me stalking closer. Andrew swerves to the side aiming to go behind me. Taking this as the time the ground begins to rumble. Everyone freezes except for the three of us and my friends. A root shoots up from the ground whipping at Andrew forcing him back to Jake's side.

The root returns to its original place as Andrew growls disapprovingly. From then on our little fight picks up in pace. Each of the elements makes an appearance. Andrew's personal favourite but hates when we brawl the fire whip. He gets a few decent burns from it.

Jake hates when I splash water or build water walls as I freeze his fur after. They get extra frustrated as I vanish when they strike and then reappear behind or above them. Sometimes I would walk on the air currents above them out of reach.

I did more but held back so they won't be seriously hurt. They turn back some clothes thrown at them "we concede...again." Jake sighs shaking his hair out.

I chuckle drying his hair "I tell you guys every time if you allow me to use my full abilities you won't win."

They sigh hissing as they touch over the wounds on their arms. Lillian and Kora walk over to their kids in their arms. "She does warn you guys but you never listen," Lillian tsks putting her son on his feet and grabbing her mate's hand.

They grumble as their mates pull them to the infirmary. All my cuts and bruises have already healed but their worst ones won't be till tomorrow. Enya walk's up beside me with a bright smile on her face. "That was so much fun."

I smile "I bet it was fun to watch." The teens that bothered me before are now staying a healthy distance away. What would I be doing right now if Kaitlyn and Jen were here? Would we be running around here laughing or would we be at Shilo? Would they have been at the sidelines cheering alongside Enya?

Their voices join in my head alongside the rest. It is your fault we are dead, you didn't protect us as you promised, liar, you will kill us all. Closing my eyes I shake my head "I tried to protect you, I did all I could." I whisper. You killed us, you are the reason we are dead. Tears prickle at the corner of my eyes "no-no I tried to help yo-you..." You killed us.

"NO," I scream opening my eyes. People stand eyes wide as they watch me slowly backing away. Looking around I spot Enya feet away from my fear sparkling in her gold-flecked eyes. Looking down at myself I see fire and shadows swirling around me with ice sheets scattered around my feet. "No," I murmur looking over at Enya's fearful state "no."

Slowly stepping back I rapidly glance around. Parents hold their kids closer to their chests backing away from me. Jake, Andrew, and Landin come running from the medical building their mates and kids at the door behind them. Gazing at Enya I shake my head "no." Her eyes widen flickering to a different kind of fear.

In a blink, I vamp out of there past the border four kilometres away ignoring the shouts to come back. The sun sets rapidly once I stop minutes later looking out at the landscape on a cliff. A fall from this height won't kill me but it would hurt like a bitch.

Falling to my knees I scream. Scream at the world, scream at the unfairness of it all, scream at the pain I have and have given. Crying I fall forward clutching my stomach. I haven't fed in months the longest I have ever gone without feeding. The hunger pains are unbearable any drop of blood makes me want to go crazy but I can't. Blood is what got me into this mess, blood is what made me, and turned my blood is what killed me.

I want to die, end it, the pain the suffering. Join my family; die and stay dead. I have caused more pain the joy more suffering than not. Why can't I do anything right? 'Cause you are a killer born and made.

All it would take is one push of wood into my heart and all will be gone.

"Why Jordan? Why did you save me?"

"Because he saw what you could become," my voice calls from behind me. Whirling around I spot two grey orbs in the shadow of the trees. Lucifer steps out into the dying light as tall and menacing as always. "He saw a young girl with so much potential for the future. It was never his intention to turn you and you know that your caster blood made you turn. It was not an accident that he found you or that you got hit by that car. What a surprise it was when you woke up and soon got these magical abilities lost in time."

He stops beside me falling onto the rock and reclining back watching the sun fall behind the horizon. "It was no accident Kaindra that you turned into this beautiful creature. We have yet to see your full potential and the purpose of your change but I do know that whatever it is will be extraordinary."

I watch as the moon rises not yet full but still extraordinary in its own right. Forever changing but always beautiful even on its darkest days. Dropping my eyes to my hands I can picture the people's blood that has caked my hands. "But Lucifer how can I be the person you are talking about? I seem to have done more bad than good with my new life, killed more people than I can count, how is someone like that supposed to help others? I couldn't even protect the ones I care about most."

My head drops becoming too hard to hold up. Lucifer is a comforting presence beside me, he sighs. "Most people view death as the end, their flash out of existence. But death is not always the end of life. People die daily most we never know or ever will know. Thousands upon thousands and we don't even notice. They die we keep going, yes they die gone forever but not always, some die in spirit others in mind.

"I have died more than once. Never have I died physically but I have died mentally many times over the years. But each time I still keep going, still keep living as I always get reborn better and stronger. Death is not the end but rather the beginning of a new life a new person leaving behind the old one. Kaindra I am thousands of years old Jordan was 147 years old we all have done some really bad things and been in really bad places and each time we died we came back new and ready to continue living. Kaindra it is not your time to die neither is it mine, this is only one of many times you will feel this way and each time I know you will come back better and stronger, trust me you are not alone."

Glancing at him I smile a true real smile not big but not small either. "Thank you, Lucifer truly thank you," I say he nods we don't move don't talk we just enjoy the presence of each other. I shake my head as the voices come back with a vengeance. "Lucifer how do you get rid of the voices?"

"You don't they won't leave, some might but not all of them. You learn to live with it you just have to remember that it wasn't your fault." He whispers not interrupting the peacefulness of the night.

Silence regains. I don't feel like going back I am not ready. Enya deserves better than being around me as long as I am like this she deserves better. I won't die but I could leave and go somewhere till I get better. "Don't even think about it," Lucifer's voice is a shock to my ears.

"What," I mumble.

"Don't think about leaving that can do worse things to someone than the person dying. Don't do that to the child."

"But she deserves better than to be around me when I am like this. I could hurt her."

He raises a finger grabs a bag I didn't know was there and pulls out a blood bag. "Bella gave this to me I thought you would be hungry."

I scoot back holding my hands in front of me. "I can't I don't know what will happen if I had it."

He sighs tilting his head in the direction of the pack. "You might want to it seems like your friends are in trouble. Take it you will need your strength." He holds it out to me not backing down.

I fumble around searching for an excuse "what if I lose control after having it I will need a few days to regain control."

He shakes his head at my poor excuse "if you were able to stay in control for this long without blood you will be fine. Hurry it sounds like there might be some people you might know a witch or so."

My eyes darken at the mention of the witch. Snatching the blood bag I drain it in seconds grabbing the second and third ones he holds up. After the bag is emptied I stand walking to the trees ready to head back. "Kaindra," Lucifer calls dusting off his pants.

"Yeah?"

"Be merciful but not honourable you don't need to hide, not anymore." Peering at his eyes I see the honesty in them "None of us do."

I nod taking the wall down and allowing all the sorrow and loss to return opening my mind. The sight of my two friends laying in the snow. I hold Jordan's dead body as he dies. A picture of my family faded at the knowledge that they are gone. A little girl in a park with blond hair streaked with red as her life drains away thanks to me. Every memory returns.

My vampire growls finally merge with me fully. Snarling I take off my human damper growling loudly into the night for all to hear, I am here and I am looking for blood.
