Day 15 of CountDown to Christmas
Germany was a lot of fun and a great place to visit. You've been there a couple of times before and enjoyed it every time so when the job opportunity came up there you had to take it. You would hate yourself forever if you didn't take it up so you had to. You and Andy Robertson were dating for a few months by that point though unfortunately you leaving for Germany forced the two of you to break up which was something that you didn't want to do but also you couldn't do a long-distance relationship. Well, you didn't think that you could do it, therefore, didn't even bother trying. Luckily since the break up was fairly mutual because of the circumstance it didn't cause any strain between Andy and your brother. Your brother was that of Jordan Henderson. Yes, Liverpool captain. So when you started dating Andy you were both curious and scared to see how the relationship between the two of them would be especially if you decided to break up but luckily it was fine.
Anyway, you had been working in Germany for quite a few months before Christmas came rolling around and you missed your family greatly. And Andy. To be honest you think you missed him more than your family but that's probably because you speak to your family a lot and you haven't spoken to Andy since the day you left England for Germany. Luckily your job allowed you to go home for Christmas. Guaranteed you could only be there Christmas Eve night but at least you would be there over Christmas and wouldn't have to go back until the New Year so you would have time to spend with your family. You were travelling to Liverpool knowing that is where your family would be considering Jordan can't go anywhere else since he has training and games but you like Liverpool since you were living there before moving to Germany. You found yourself hoping to find time to meet with Andy at some point during the time that you're in Liverpool. Whether it was just to talk as friends or to find out whether or not you could reconnect and date again you didn't really care. You just wanted to see the Scottsman and talk to him for a bit.
Getting off of the plane was nice and refreshing knowing that finally, you were back home, well kinda you were in Liverpool anyway. The chill instantly hit you although you were used to it by now. Germany is just as cold if not colder some days so you were really used to the coldness. One thing that did shock you though was that there was snow falling and actually setting on the ground. It wasn't a lot of snow only lightly falling but it was still snow. Never have you ever seen a white Christmas before so you were quite excited at the thought of it actually being a white Christmas.
Waiting for your bags you decided to get out your phone and message your family group chat. You had no idea why you had one but you for some reason did so just decided to message that rather than everyone individually.
Y/N: Just got off of the plane. Waiting for my bags then going to head straight home. All I want to do is sleep.
Mum: Glad your flight landed safe darling. See you tomorrow xx
Jordan: Thanks for letting us know... I may have a surprise as well for you tonight.
You got a couple more messages as well but you didn't get to read them because you saw your bags coming and you didn't want to miss them since that would cause all kinds of hassle and you just wanted to go home. You also couldn't get your mind off of what Jordan had messaged so you wouldn't even read the other messages probably and take it all in before replying. He had a surprise for you. You had no idea what it was but Jordan apparently had a surprise for you tonight. Thinking about all of the possibilities that the surprise could be you walked out of the airport and went to find a car that could drop you home. You got into an uber and told them your address for your house in Liverpool and they started driving, in silence luckily because you weren't in the mood to speak to him. You had for some reason still got your house in Liverpool that you had before going to Germany but you were happy that you had kept it right now.
You opened the door to your house and breathed in deeply taking it all in. None of it had changed since you had left which gave you some comfort. You hadn't packed up everything so there was still quite a bit of your stuff around the house. You placed the suitcase in your bedroom but didn't bother to unpack it knowing that you weren't here for long so you couldn't be bothered to unpack it just to pack it. After that, you went in a quick shower and got changed in some new clothes not wanting to stay in the ones that you were wearing on the plane. You then decided to order pizza for a late tea before scrolling through Netflix trying to find something to watch before going to bed. It didn't take long till the pizza got here which you were thankful for because you were famished having not eaten for ages. You were halfway through the pizza and in the middle of some random film that you didn't know the name of when you heard the doorbell go off. You were shocked about it for a moment when you remembered Jordan said that he had a surprise for you so you wiped your hands on your trousers before going to answer the door.
"Andy," You said shocked. He was just as good looking as you remember. His brown eyes were shining brightly that could clearly be seen even with so little light. His eyes were always memorising and you could look at them all day. He, unfortunately, didn't have that cheeky smile on his face but you're probably guessing it's because he was nervous to be here. His hair was soft and sat perfectly on top of his head. It was just the way that you liked it. He also had white specs in his hair from the snow that was falling so he must've been standing outside for a while before deciding to ring the doorbell. So this must've been the surprise Jordan was going on about and to be honest it was a good one.
"Hey Y/N, Jordan told me you were coming home so I thought I would visit you," Andy shrugged.
"Come in," You said once you remembered that he was standing outside in the cold whilst it was still snowing. Andy instantly walked inside wanting to get the warmth. You knew that you looked a mess but in all fairness, you had been working this morning before having to go straight to the airport so you didn't have time to freshen up properly. Yes, you showed when you came back but just threw on random clothes so you definitely weren't looking your best. Also, you had no idea anyone was coming so you couldn't really care how you looked if you weren't seeing anybody but here you were with Andy. You wish somebody would've told you he was coming. But that would've ruined the surprise.
"Want anything to eat or drink," You asked as he started to take his shoes off and his coat and place them near the front door.
"Water please," Andy replied. You needed a minute to collect yourself and your thoughts from seeing Andy and this was the perfect opportunity to do so. It didn't take long for you to get his water and you a drink so Andy wasn't waiting that long for you.
"Here you go," You said, passing him the water. He had made his way to the living room where the pizza was still sitting and the film was still playing since you hadn't paused it before.
"Thank you," He replied, taking a sip of it. You never thought that it could ever be awkward between the two of you but right now it was so awkward. You didn't know what to say and it seemed like neither did he.
"So how's Germany?" He asked you after a couple of minutes of silence.
"Yeah it's a lot of fun obviously I'm busy because of my job and it's a little bit lonely since I still don't know anyone that well yet," You said.
"How's football going," You asked him although you have some idea considering you watch every single one of Liverpool's games that you can. Andy instantly went into it though so you were happy that it was no longer awkward and a conversation could actually flow.
"So you met anyone?" Andy suddenly asked. Once it left his mouth he seemed embarrassed about it but he couldn't take it back. You raised an eyebrow in question deciding not to question him on it. You wanted to answer though because you were also wondering if Andy had met anybody else and it would only be fair for you to answer him.
"No. You?" You replied.
"No," Andy replied. You let out a breath that you didn't know you were holding thankful that he hadn't found anybody else whilst you had been in Germany. Obviously, you wanted him to be happy but you wanted to be the one to make him happy as well.
"By the way, it's a good thing you're not seeing anyone," Andy said. You were about to ask him why but before you could even open your mouth to speak you felt Andy's lips against yours. You couldn't even begin to explain how much you had missed his lips against yours. His tongue ran across your bottom lip and instinctively you opened your mouth and his tongue went into your mouth. You were kissing ages. Well, you don't actually know how long you were kissing but it felt ages. Your lungs were burning from the need of oxygen but you didn't want to pull away not knowing when you would next kiss him.
"I've missed that," Andy said when the two of you pulled away from each other. His forehead was still pressed against yours though and both of your eyes were still closed taking it all in. You were both breathing heavily but not moving apart from each other.
"So did I," You replied, placing another short kiss on his lips.
The two of you spent the rest of the night, into the early hours of the morning talking, kissing and talking some more. Luckily the awkwardness seemed to disappear as the two of you talked and occasionally stopped to kiss each other.
You have no idea how but you got into an argument over the nightmare before Christmas again. When you were together that was one argument you both constantly had never been able to agree and it was always a funny argument to have because it was like you were both little kids. Somehow it got brought back up now.
"I don't care what you say, The Nightmare Before Christmas works for Christmas and Halloween" You argued.
"No it doesn't," Andy argued back.
"Says the guy who thinks Die Hard is a Christmas movie," You scoffed and he looked slightly offended by that making you laugh. Yeah picking up right where you left you thought. You also knew that you didn't want to leave Andy again if it meant not being with him. You may have to try a long-distance relationship but you still have this next week with him so you're going to make it count either way.
