(Y/N)'s POV
I packed my bags since classes were over for the day, as I was about to head out Amber called my attention
"(Y/N)! Are you gonna attend the Christmas party?" she asked excitedly
"What Christmas party?"
"You didn't know? The senior Ningguang is holding a party!"
Now, I haven't been in a Christmas party with friends in a long time since I usually spend it with family but I guess I'll give it a shot
"Sure, when is it?"
"Next Saturday!"
Amber seems really excited over this which gives me all the more reason to attend
"Alright I'll come with you to the party" I smiled
"Yay! I can help you pick an outfit if you'd like?"
I shook my head since I had enough Christmas themed outfits from relatives.
(At home)
I put down my bag and collapsed onto my bed
'I wonder if Kaeya's going to attend the party, even if he will I won't get a chance to talk to him since he'll be swarmed by people'
I sighed and fell asleep
(Time Skip to day before party)
I finally arrived at home after a long day of classes
Tomorrow is the Christmas party of Ningguang and I'm actually pretty nervous
"I should pick a dress already" I stood up and looked inside my closet
I alternated between a black and red striped dress or the signature green and red dress with some frills at the end
After spending 2 minutes trying to decide I sighed and texted Amber to help me pick
'I think the red and black one is super pretty on you! =(^.^)='
I took her advice and ironed the dress so it can be ready tomorrow
"I hope I don't embarrass myself" I nervously hung the dress on my doorknob and went to sleep
(Next Day)
My alarm rang and I immediately got up to make breakfast and take a bath, today is the Christmas party and I am extremely nervous
"Don't look like a fool later, (Y/N)" I looked at my reflection in the mirror and began to style my hair and do my makeup
(10 mins later)
'(Y/N)!!!! (；ﾟДﾟ)' Amber texted
'I'm gonna be a little late! I have to run some errands real quick! I have to go around the supermarket in flats and a dress T^T'
My stomach sunk, what will people think when they see a random (h/c) girl wearing a dress walks in the house?!
As I was debating whether or not I should go ahead or wait for Amber my phone buzzed
'Yo, (Y/N)!' Kaeya messaged
"Hm? What could he want?"
'Are you attending Ningguang's little party?'
'I honestly don't know since Amber will be running late and I'm nervous to go ahead'
'Why so nervous? I can help you meet people if you'd like?'
'Really?? Sure! Just don't say anything embarrassing you saw me do ಠ_ಠ'
' Of course, I like hearing gossip but not actually spread them '
'Well I guess I'll see you later'
'Alright then, I'll see you later (^-^)v '
I put down my phone and got in the dress, I looked at myself in the mirror and saw that I look good enough and left
(I'm sorry I'm having way too much fun with the emojis-)
(At the party)
I nervously walked in the house and it definitely wasn't what I was expecting
It wasn't a house it felt like a full on MANSION
I admired all the intricate details on the walls it felt as if it was almost telling a story
"Ah! Are you (Y/N)?"
I turn around and see a woman with light brown hair, emerald green eyes with a purple dress
"Y-Yes!" I answered
"Kaeya's been waiting for you for a while, are you by any chance his girlfriend?"
My face went red and I tried my best to deny her question as much as possible
The woman laughed "I see, Kaeya's waiting for you in the dining hall over there, oh and I'm Lisa" she extended her hand and I shook it back.
I walked into the dining hall and thank the Archons that it wasn't like an event hall
I spent a good minute looking for the blue haired boy but failed
"*sigh* I'm getting hungry, I'll get food first" I grabbed a plate and looked around the tables
I ended up just eating some Fisherman's toast since most were Liyue dishes that I'm not familiar of.
I finished my food but still no sign of Kaeya and Amber
'Have I been stood up? Was this just a prank? But why did Lisa say that Kaeya was waiting for me? I should've arranged a place we'd meet...'
After waiting for 5 more minutes I decided to just leave, I was doing nothing but sitting in the corner drinking juice anyway.
"Hm? Leaving so soon, (Y/N)?" Lisa asked as she saw me going towards the entrance
"Well I can't find Kaeya and I don't think my best friend's coming anymore so I'll just leave"
Lisa looked at me with a sad expression and just nodded
I stood outside the mansion doors hoping for someone I know personally to arrive but after waiting for a minute I gave up
'Hey (Y/N), don't start crying now' I thought to myself but I couldn't help it I started slightly crying under a tree as if I was in a cliche romantic movie
I heard footsteps coming but I genuinely could not care anymore
"(Y/N)?" I looked up and saw Kaeya
'Good job, you embarrassed yourself'
"Are you okay? Did something happen?" he put a hand on my shoulder
"I waited for you and Amber for a while but you two never arrived" I said grumpily
Kaeya just smiled "Sorry, I had people talking to me, even I was getting nervous that you might up and leave the party"
I was still salty about it but you were slowly forgiving him, you can't control popularity
"Now, can you stop crying? C'mon your face is too pretty for tears"
My face heated up "Who are you calling pretty!?" I yelled out of embarrassment
Kaeya laughed "See? You're back to normal" I looked away "What's with you..." I mumbled, he just laughed
I walked out of the trees and just sat down on the ground, I looked up and saw the night sky it was beautiful, all the stars looked like it was in the perfect position and the colors were a mix of blue and purple making the sky look like a galaxy
"(Y/N) look! A shooting star!" Kaeya said excitedly
I look up and saw two shooting stars
'Make a wish right? What should I wish for?'
I clasped my hands together and made a wish
"What did you wish for?" Kaeya asked, he was like a little kid right now who just got a new toy
"If I say it out loud it won't come true, it's a very precious wish so I won't be telling it to ANYONE"
Kaeya had a curious face on but he prevented himself from asking anymore
(After the party)
Funnily enough we spent the rest of the evening outside just admiring tonight's night sky
"How about I walk you home?" Kaeya asked
"It's fine, my house is close to here anyways"
"(Y/N), it's 10:34pm who knows what's out there and I don't want something to happen to you" he looked at me with a rather serious expression
'Don't you dare catch feelings right now'
"S-Sure" no one's ever walked me to my house before so this is another new experience for me.
(Time skip since I'm too tired to write a convo)
I unlocked my door "Alright, night Kaeya"
"Don't forget to lock your doors, night" he smiled and waved and closed the door
I heard him mumble something while he was outside but I just decided to not mind it.
I crawled into my bed and blankets after changing and brushing my teeth and slept.
