As my eyes slowly open, I see the sun streaming in from my bedroom window. What a wonderful end to the first week at my new school. It’s Saturday morning, the first time I’ve been able to sleep in, in what feels like months! I yawn, stretch and leap out of bed to the smell of my favourite breakfast - bacon and eggs. I throw on my dressing gown, slip into my slippers and slide across the hall to the kitchen.
“Morning mum,” I say, plonking myself down on a stool.
“Morning darling,” replies mum’s cheery voice, that spreads around the room.
“What do we have on our schedule for today?” I asked, while crunching down on a piece of bacon.
“Well I was thinking, seeing you’ve done so well at your first week at school, we could go online and check out some pets?”
No words could escape of my mouth; all I could do was nod. I sculled down my orange juice and sprinted into my bedroom where my white Apple Macbook laptop sat on my white desk.
I knew of some really great websites for pets, when Georgia was getting her cute, little golden puppy Spike. A cross between a labrador and a poodle, labradoodle. I quickly signed onto my computer and scanned through the web, when I finally came across pet barn. Mum’s and my favorite dogs are husky’s so I checked out any stores that would be close to us and the different pets that they had. I found this place which was literally 5 minutes away from our house. As I was looking through the pets, I saw this gorgeous looking blue, eyed puppy, which caught my eye. He was only 8 weeks old and had the best price, right in our budget.
