Dear journal,
It's one of those days where Ieyasu is a true prickly child.
He had a war council to go to, and I was invited.. Sort of... Ha..?

"Ah, Y/N. I see you've made the time to join us."
I closed the sliding door and took my seat next to Ieyasu.
"Huh. I was wondering why Ieyasu was sitting farther from Mitsunari than usual." Masamune muttered.
I had to stifle a laugh. Yeah, its true, Ieyasu isn't the best at social interactions like Mitsunari. But I like that. Actually, I love that characteristic of his.
"So Kenshin's forces are taking action?" Masamune asked, a dangerous glint in his eyes.
Ieyasu nodded.
"Hah. This is great!"
Ieyasu scoffed at Masamune.
"It won't be once he kills you because you were being far too careless. How amazing."
"Hey, now. I'm not careless!"
"Yeah, right. Whatever, get this over with."
Mitsuhide stood up, almost on cue as Ieyasu finished his sentence.
"Well, I've gathered that their forces' number goes to at the very least, 30,000."
Hideyoshi's eyes went wide.
"He's crazy! We'll outnumber him!"
"..But if we're not careful, we may be outmatched in skill and combat." Ieyasu rolled his eyes, looking tired already.
Wait, that's right... Ieyasu worked through the entire day writing his own report. No wonder he's more agitated than usual...
I stared at Ieyasu for a good five seconds more until I looked away.
It was Mitsunari's turn to speak, so I cast him a thoughtful look and glanced back at Ieyasu.
I could see he was fidgeting with his fingers and it was kind of sad. To help, I clasped one of my hands with his and felt him relax a little. To this, I was relieved.

A little while later, I realized this council was perhaps the longest I've ever attended.
It had been about 4 hours since I'd visited.
And I noticed that Ieyasu's mood was getting worse..
I mean, not that it wasnt bad to begin with.
"Why the hell are you staring at me with that stupidly diabolical doe-eyed expression of yours??" He hissed through gritted teeth, attempting to concentrate, but to no avail.
I lifted my hand and started rubbing circles on his back.
"..Thinking of a way to harmlessly terminate the intensity of this toxic feeling of irritability radiating from your very person. Why?" I whispered back softly.
He huffed and turned his face away and hid his cheeks with his scarf so that no one could see his face. But I imagined a light pink blush bringing color to his face.
Every other 10 minutes, I would switch the location of where I was going to massage him. And bit by bit, of course he complained a little, he succumbed to my touch.
But he was tense enough to stay awake. Thats right. Mission accomplished. Err.. Sort of.
When the meeting was nearly over, I realized as I was doing back rubs to him, everyone was looking at me and stopped talking.
I think Mitsuhide was timing us on how long it would take to realize the meeting actually already ended.
I looked over to Ieyasu's face, feeling the heat rush to both my cheeks and ears and saw that he was already asleep, eyes closed, head cocked to the side where I was, softly snoring.
I poked his soft cheek to make sure. Soft but firm. Yep, it wasn't a dream of any sort.
As it seems, when I talked to Masamune, Ieyasu dozed off before the council ended. So for fun, they all decided to wait until I realized what was going on.
Later that week, I obviously got scolded a little by Ieyasu, but seeing a new side of him exposed to others made it worth it.
And it ended with a day-off and free cuddles!! So all in all, I think my week's been pretty good. What about yours?
