There's always a myriad of people at Diagon Alley the day before September First.
From first years excited to get their first wand to seventh years who are cheerless at the thought that this will be their last year
Among the sea of people, a platinum blonde headed boy stands out
'Except for the books, did we get everything dear?' Asks the sweet and beautiful lady to her only son, as the both of them are walking towards the bookstore
'Yes mother!' Replies Draco after giving the list a reread
Before they could enter the store a voice called for the boy
'Draco!' Says a very familiar voice
The blond boy followed the direction of the sound just to lock eyes with his friends
He waved at them happily and then looked up to his mother
Narcissa smiled at the little boy
'You can go, but meet me here again in a few minutes okay?' She gives her son a small pat in the head
'Yes! Thank you mom' he then ran towards his four friends Pansy Parkinson, Blaise Zabini, Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle.
Theodore Nott is another friend of Draco, but he wasn't there .
List in hand, the lady entered the bookshop and a bell announced her arrival
'Narcissa?'
She looked at who called her
'Oh hello there Cecil (your mothers name) , long time no see' she says hugging her friend
'Yes it's been so long' replies Cecil as they pull off from the hug
'So how are you? Isn't Draco with you?' She asks noticing that Narcissa was alone
'I'm doing well thank you, Draco saw a couple of friends earlier so he's with them now'
'Mom, I got everything. They said that they will be delivering the books within the day' states y/n walking towards her mother
'Is that y/n?' Asks Narcissa looking at the girl
Cecil nods smiling
'Oh you've grown up as a beautiful lady' states Narcissa
Y/n didn't notice her presence at first and she didn't recognise the woman
'Uhm, t-thank you so much Mrs-?' She asks awkwardly
'Narcissa, just call Narcissa'
'Thank you so much Narcissa' says Y/n smiling

At the Malfoy Manor
'Draco, are you packing your trunk?' Asks the lady as she knocks on the door of Draco's room before entering
'Yes mom I've just finished putting the last things' he replies closing the trunk
'Can I talk to you for a minute?' She asks sitting on his bedside and so he does
'Tomorrow will also be the first year of the daughter of one of my friends. Her name is y/n y/l, please, I want you to befriend her' she states putting one hand on his shoulder
'B-But why mom? I already have friends! I don't ne-'
'Draco, please. Do it for me?'
'Why is it so important?'
'It's just that.. I know that things at her house are not going that well, I've known her family since she was little. I'm afraid that she would distance herself from everyone.'
Draco looked at her mom and saw in her eyes how concerned she was for the girl
'Can I count on you?'
'Yes mom'
The two of them shared a hug
'Thank you my son, I know you won't disappoint me'
At the y/l Manor
'Mother could you please help me d-'
'I'm sorry honey but I'm busy with work' replies Cecil not even looking at her daughter
Y/n at least tried to have a good relationship with her parents, but for them work was more important.
Her father, Richard, was almost never home and that Influenced her parents relationship.
Both her parents have high expectations from her.
Since she was a kid she would study in advance all the subjects and would also take private flying and dance lessons.
She never enjoyed her childhood like other kids, never had friends.
She had to be perfect.
Y/n finished packing and laid in bed
Her cat, Amethyst, jumped on her bed and cuddled unto her
Amethyst is a black female cat, y/n name her Amethyst due to her beautiful violet eyes.
She was excited for tomorrow, but the weight of having to represent well her surname was too much.
The y/l's are feared by most.
Y/n comes from a line of pureblood Slytherins and money was never a problem , but she wasn't happy.

For muggles is just a normal day at King's cross station , but for little witches and wizards it's the beginning of a new adventure.
'Everything's loaded?'
'Yes mom' replies y/n with the cat's cage in hand
A loud whistle of the train announces the close departure
'Y/n you should get in the train,take care' says Cecil hugging her daughter one last time
Y/n hopped in the train after giving a last wave to her mother
The train departed before y/n could even find an empty cabin
All of them were already full, y/n arrived at the last carriage now she had no choice
She looked inside
There were two boys, they were identical
Y/n took a deep breath before she slowly slid the door open
'Uhm h-hi, all the other compartments are full.. can I join you here?' Asks y/n with her low voice
The two boys shared a look before looking again at the girl
'Sure!' They reply at unison
Y/n entered the cabin, closed the door and took a sit in front of the two
'I'm y/n y/l' says y/n smiling at the two and putting down the cage beside her
She wasn't really the type of person who starts the conversations but she felt like she could trust them
'I'm fred'
'And I'm george'
'Weasley' they say at the same time
The ride was long, but surely not boring
Y/n learned a lot about them,
They are Gryffindors in their third year and they play Quidditch
They also made a lot of funny jokes that made her grow comfortable with them
'So, in what house do you think you'll get sorted?' Asks one of the twins, y/n forgot who is who and is too shy to ask again
She thinks that he's probably Fred, since she noticed that he's most likely to be the first one to speak
'Slytherin, my whole family is Slytherin' she shyly replies
'You're one cool Slytherin then' says the other twin, probably George

The doors of the Great Hall opened, revealing an amazing room full of flying candles and lights
Y/n sadly had to leave Amethyst since they would take her to her dorm.
While y/n was walking her eyes fell on the table full of people in red and saw the two gingers , she waved at them and they waved back

One after one people got called to get sorted, apparently there's Harry Potter who is famous? I don't know him but he's in Gryffindor and so is another Weasley.. Ronald? I guess
'Y/n y/l' called the professor
I walked and sat on the chair, every one it's staring at me and I hate it
The professor then gently placed the sorting hat on my head and it started talking
'It's nice to see another y/l, all your qualities match perfectly with the house of your family. This house will help you on your way to greatness.
SLYTHERIN!'
A loud cheer erupted from the Slytherin table
I took a seat with my House mates and I smile as I see Fred and George cheering for me even though I'm from their rival house.
I didn't notice the boy beside me until he spoke
'Hey' he says

With a lot of gel and light greyish blue eyes
'I'm Draco, Draco Malfoy' he says offering one hand
'I'm y/n, y/n y/l' I reply shaking his hand
Once all the students got sorted the headmaster did a speech that I didn't listen too cause I was too hungry
All kinds of food appeared on the table, the twins weren't lying when they said that the food here is amazing
Y/n placed some steak, corn and potatoes on her plate
Y/n,like others Slytherin, priorities her manners just like how she was taught to. Gorging herself wasn't an option.
'You should try this, it's actually so good' offers Draco pointing at the dessert
I'm not used at someone being this friendly to me already
'Does it have peanuts in it?' I ask gently
'I think it does'
'Oh then I can't eat it.' I state
'Why?' Asks Draco looking at the dessert
'You see, I have a severe peanut allergy. That's why I always carry this vial' I say showing the necklace with the vial that I never take off
'Is that like some kind of medicine?' Asks Draco curious
'Uhm is a potion that will help me recover even if a drink a drop of it' I reply shyly
'Then don't eat this' says Malfoy moving the plate far from me like I would get allergy from the smell of it
'Try this instead, is like a fruit jelly' he says bringing near me another plate
'Thank you' I say in my low voice
Why is he so kind with me?
The twins told me about the Malfoys, but Narcissa and Draco seem to be good people

I noticed that my stuff was in front of the bed closer to the window on the left , I ain't got complains though .
I like looking out of the window and they say that when the sun is up the view from the lake is magical, I'm looking forward to that.
I quickly opened Amethyst cage and she jumped on my arms
I see how my other three roommates were sitting on their beds looking at me
'Hi! I'm Daphne Greengrass' smiles the one from the bed in front of me
'I'm Millicent Bulstrode' says the girl from beside Daphne
'And I'm Pansy Parkinson' then states the girl from beside my bed
I clear my throat
'I'm y/n y/l'
'Nice to meet you!' Says Pansy, I smile at her
'Your cat is beautiful! What her or his name?' Asked Millicent
'Oh thanks,H-Her name is Amethyst' I reply moving so that they can see her eyes
The three were amazed
'Now , we better go to sleep !tomorrow is our first day of schooll!!' States enthusiastically Daphne
'Goodnight!'
'Night!'
'Good night' I say
I don't speak unless spoken to and I'm really shy at the beginning.
I guess I'm lucky that people here at Hogwarts are talkative
