We see several ships carrying students and docking at the entrance of the school. As soon as one lands, Jaune Arc emerges and goes over to the nearest trash can, hunching over it as he loses his lunch. F/n then appears behind him as Ruby and Yang, alongside several other students, walk out of the ship and head down the paved path to the front of the school.
F/n: "Here, take this"
Jaune then looks towards F/n, still hunched over. He sees F/n holding a pill in his hand, which Jaune takes, before grabbing a water bottle and swallowing the pill, feeling much better.
Jaune: "I really needed that"
F/n: "Yeah Yeah, whatever, but there is some slight side effects.
Jaune: "Are they bad?" He says worried
F/n: "Its nothing to bad" he starts looking at Jaune with pity. "You might want to find the nearest restroom"
Jaune: "Hey but i never got your name"
F/n: "F/n L/n. Just call me F/n for short. And yours?"
Jaune: "Well, the name's Jaune Arc! Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue - ladies love it!"
F/n: "I Can tell" he says as he looks behind Jaune to see a couple girls looking at Jaune disgusted from what happened earlier. "You sure do have the charms"
All of a sudden loud sound could be heard. F/n turns around to see a Schnee Arguing with Ruby, which Jaune astonished by Weiss's beauty, but he had his eyes on F/n's tail, which he didn't think to much of.
Weiss: "Unbelievable! This is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about!"
Ruby: "I'm really, really sorry!" She says apologetically and embarrassed
Weiss: "Ugh, you complete dolt! What are you even doing here? Aren't you a little young to be attending Beacon?"
Ruby: "Well, I-I..."
Weiss: "This isn't your ordinary combat school. It's not just sparring and practice, you know! We're here to fight monsters, so... watch where you're going!"
Ruby: "Hey, I said I was sorry, princess!" She says as she's finally fed up with her.
Blake: "It's heiress, actually." She says as she enters the conversation, while Ruby and Weiss look over as Blake approaches with the bottle. "Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, one of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world."
Weiss: "Finally! Some recognition!" She says as she smiles smugly
F/n: "The same company infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners."
Weiss looks at F/n, who also joined them, looking at his tail.
Weiss: "Of course a faunus would say that.
Blake: "But he's right isn't he?"
Weiss: " Wha- How dare- The nerve of... Ugh!"
She gets up in Blake's face and takes the bottle from her, walking off in a huff as her helpers gather the luggage and follow. Before Blake could leave, she and F/n both acknowledge each-others presence, thinking the same thing....
Blake and F/n: "Have i met her/him before?"
Ruby: "I promise I'll make this up to you!" She says to the storming Weiss, sighing. "I guess I'm not the only one having a rough first day... So, what's..." she sees Blake walking off as well, then collapses to the ground on her back. "Welcome to Beacon..."
She remains this way until a shadow comes over her
F/n: "I expected worse" he says as he holds out his hand, taking it, while also noticing Jaune behind him.
Jaune: "Hey... I'm Jaune."
Ruby: "Ruby....Aren't you the guy that threw up on the ship?"

Beacon inside the walls are filled with scenic trees, arching architecture, and a winding road alongside a river, down which Ruby, F/n, and Jaune are walking.
Jaune: "All I'm saying is that motion sickness is a much more common problem than people let on!"
Ruby: "Look, I'm sorry! Vomit Boy was the first thing that came to mind." She says laughing
Jaune: "Oh, yeah? What if I called you Crater Face?"
Ruby: "Hey, that explosion was an accident!"
Jaune: "Well, the name's Jaune Arc! Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue - ladies love it!"
Ruby: "Do they?" She says, skeptical
Jaune: "They will! Well, I-I hope they will. My mom always says that... Never mind."
Ruby giggles before a short, awkward silence falls
Ruby: "So... I got this thing!"
she pulls out Crescent Rose and stabs it into the ground
Jaune: "Whoa! Is that a scythe?"
Ruby: "It's also a customizable high-impact sniper rifle!"
Jaune: "A-wha...?"
Ruby: "It's also a gun."
Jaune: "Oh. That's cool!"
Ruby: "So what've you got?"
Jaune: "Oh! I, uh..." He unsheathes a blade. "I got this sword!"
Ruby: "Ooooohh!"
Jaune: "Yeah, and I've got a shield, too!"
he gets his scabbard, raises his arm and expands the metal into his defense
Ruby: "So, what do they do?" She says as she touches the shield
Jaune fumbles with the shield as it retracts off his arm, expands, and retracts again before putting it back in place and finally shrinking it down for good, placing it on his belt
Jaune:b"The shield gets smaller, so when I get tired of carrying it, I can just... put it away..."
Ruby: "But... wouldn't it weigh the same?"
Jaune: "Yeah, it does..." he says dejectedly, before he looks at F/n, who was quietly watching them. "And you?"
F/n: "This" he says as he pulls out a T.G.R in its gun form.
Jaune: "That's cool!"
Ruby: "Wait until you see the other transformation." She tells Jaune, excitedly
With the click of a button, T.G.R starts transforming into a scythe, causing Ruby to have sparkles in her eyes. F/n then puts away his weapon, as Ruby looks back at Jaune.
Ruby: "Well, I'm kind of a dork when it comes to weapons, sooo... I guess I did go a little overboard when designing mine." She says, giggling
Jaune: "Wait - you made that?!"
Ruby: "Of course! All students at Signal forge their own weapons! Didn't you make yours?"
Jaune: "It's a hand-me-down. My great-great-grandfather used it to fight in the war."
Ruby: "Sounds more like a family heirloom to me!" She laughs. "Well, I like it! Not many people have an appreciation for the classics these days."
Jaune: "Yeah, the classics..." he says, sheathing his sword
Ruby: "So why'd you help me out back there? In the courtyard?"
Jaune: "Eh, why not? My mom always says, 'Strangers are just friends you haven't met yet.'"
F/n: "That's going to get you somewhere, and i guarantee you won't like it."
Jaune then looks back at F/n acknowledging his tail, which F/n took notice of.
F/n: "You want to know what Faunus I am?"
Jaune: "What! No I just-" He gives up trying to cover it up. "you know yeah."
F/n: "Lion"
Jaune: "Lion? As in king of the jungle?"
F/n just looks at him with an annoyed face, until Ruby starts another conversation.
Ruby: "Hmm." She starts looking around. "Hey, where are we going?"
Jaune: "Oh, I don't know! I was following you. Y-You think there might be a directory? Maybe a food court? Some kind of recognizable landmark? Is, uh... Is that a 'no'?"
Ruby: "That's a 'no'." She says, laughing.
