It was an enjoyable dinner for all. Their parents' surprise visit made the weekend.
Chaeyoung cried seeing her mom and Jennie's mom. They were talking over dinner and the oldies cannot help but tease the young couple one after the other.
"Why are you sulking over there?" Chaeyoung whispered when she saw Jennie puffing her mandu cheeks and poking her dinner.
"Because I said that I'll have dinner with you but the oldies came and now my promise is broken again" Jennie sadly whispered.
"Jen we are eating dinner together," Chaeyoung said
"I know but I want it to be only the two of us" Jennie whispered back.
"But we are having dinner together. Right?" Chaeyoung insisted.
"Hmmm," Jennie pouted.
"Then you didn't break your promise" Chaeyoung smiled.
Jennie smiled back and it didn't go unnoticed by their family.
"Excuse me? We're here? I'm here? I'm single. Please not in front of my barbeque" Alice said seeing how close the couple's faces to each other.
"Alice!~" Chaeyoung whined.
The whole family laughed and even the two laughed over Alice's singlehood. When the laughter died down. They thought that the teasing will also tone down a little but they guessed it wrong.
"A gathering like this would be much happier with little kids running around the backyard" Jennie's dad said.
"Of course. A grandchild to spoil" Chaeyoung's dad agrees.
"So, when are you going to give us some grandkids," Jennie's mom asked.
This caused Chaeyoung to suddenly choke on something and cough. Jennie gave the younger girl a glass of water before she gets her own. When the two of them calmed down, both of them looked at each other and at their parents who were looking at them and waiting for their answer.
"Moms, dads, may I remind you that we are college students and Jennie is a public figure. We can't just give you grandkids in an instant" Chaeyoung told the oldies rather calmly.
"But it wouldn't hurt to try," Mrs. Park said.
"Mom~ neither of us couldn't just attend university with a baby bump~ and it's not like we'll miraculously get pregnant. It takes a lot of procedures and great doctors, I think" Chaeyoung whined.
"Wendy's parents are doctors. We could preserve the secrecy of your marriage if the one who will conduct the procedure is someone we know" Mrs. Park told her daughter.
"But still," Chaeyoung said.
"It's not like you're going to conceive out of wedlock. You're married" This time Jennie's mom answered.
"Did you guys suddenly decide that I'll be the one to conceive?" Chaeyoung asked.
"Rosiepoop. Jennie couldn't dance sololololololœr with a baby bump. That's even more rebellious" Alice spoke.
"These oldies. Stop pressuring my wife~" Jennie whines.
"We're not pressuring her we're pressuring you!" Jennie's mom said.
"Mom, we haven't even graduated yet. That can wait. And besides, we don't have time for that. At least not yet. Jennie's working on her new music and several projects including college, and I'm busy with school stuff too, so having a kid isn't necessary for now." Chaeyoung frustratingly answered.
"See? Only Chaeyoung understands me. Only my wife supports me in this house!" Jennie said for the first time that causes their parents to laugh.
"And also we have Kuku and Kai and joohwangie, we could adopt more if you wanted to," Chaeyoung said.
"Yeah" Jennie agreed but suddenly had something in her mind.
"I bet they haven't done it yet," Alice said.
"ALI!" Chaeyoung shouted.
Jennie was just quiet, sipping on her sparkling wine. Deep in her thoughts.
"What? So you guys haven't? Omg, I'm now a hundred thousand won richer. Pay up now oldies" Alice said proudly.
"You're betting on us?!" Chaeyoung was bewildered knowing that but no one minded her.
"This lady, I'll sue you for extortion," Mr. Park told her eldest.
"Dad, I'm a lawyer" Alice flipped her hair.
"That's even more unlawful," Mr. Kim said and they burst out laughing.
Chaeyoung just keep stabbing her kebab and Jennie was observing the family. She suddenly stood up and without a word tugged Chaeyoung's arm and dragged her inside the house.
Jennie's mom noticed that the two youngest suddenly went missing and saw them going inside the house. Alice also caught them and shouted.
"Where are you two going?"
"We'll make babies! Don't pay up yet, oldies!" Jennie shouted.
Chaeyoung and Alice both shouted while the rest just laughed.
They've reached the living room and Chaeyoung was flustered while Jennie is still laughing. Chaeyoung sat at the farthest end of the couch.
Away from Jennie.
"Why are you sitting over there?" Jennie asked.
"Why did you suddenly drag me here?" Chaeyoung asked.
She's sitting sideways, back leaning at the armrest, her legs folded as she hugged her knees. Jennie just looks at her with an amused smile. How can a 5 feet 6 inches girl like Chaeyoung looks cute curled up on the couch like that?
"The oldies won't stop bugging us with a grandchild, might as well give them what they want," Jennie said.
Then a pillow came flying towards her which she luckily caught while she laughs.
"Jennie Kim!~" Chaeyoung shouted.
Jennie threw herself on the couch, leaving a gap between her and Chaeyoung. She also sat sideways facing the younger girl, she crossed her legs and put her elbows on the backrest and a hand on her head. She puts a pillow on her lap and just stared at Chaeyoung.
There's silence. A comfortable one. Both have something in their minds. Chaeyoung fiddles with her fingers while Jennie plays with the loose thread from the corner of the pillow.
"You don't like it?" Jennie asked.
"Don't like what?" Chaeyoung asked.
"Have a kid" Jennie said.
"I do... But" Chaeyoung said.
"But what?" Jennie asked.
"We could barely take care of ourselves and each other. How on earth are we going to take care of a kid? And my point a while ago still stands. We are college students and you're an idol" Chaeyoung said.
Jennie pouted and sulked.
"I kinda like the idea of little Chaeyoungs running around"

That night...
Everyone is getting ready for bed. The two elderly couples occupied the two guest rooms while Alice and Jennie are bickering about who was going to room with Chaeyoung.
"Jennie you can have Chaeyoung again tomorrow. For tonight, please let me be with my sister. We have a lot of things to talk about. We're going to have a major sisterly talk" Alice said which is not convincing for Jennie.
The two were bickering at the pajama lounge and it was a good thing that nobody is asleep yet or else both of them will just have to sleep in one room.
"No, Alice. I also haven't seen my wife for long so I'm not going to waste a moment to be with her" Jennie said just to tease Alice.
They were just casually bickering like they always do when they heard Chaeyoung scream.
"OH MY FUCKING G!" They heard.
The two looked at each other and raced to Chaeyoung's room only to see the blonde girl looking at her phone.
"What happened?" Alice asked.
"Are you hurt?!" Jennie shouted.
When Chaeyoung realized what happened she smiled apologetically at the two.
"Sorry" Chaeyoung breathed.
"What happened?" Jennie was already calm while Alice is mocking how worried Jennie was a while ago.
"I just- I just saw something" Chaeyoung was trying to brush off the situation.
"What is it? Is it about me?" Jennie asked.
"Nœr?"
"Rosie," Jennie said with a tone.
"W-well aside from the world talking about your post which is my baby pic. I saw that there's a new artist on your label?" Chaeyoung explained.
"Uh. Yeah? I think it was Lisa" Jennie said.
"You know her?" Chaeyoung asked.
"No, not personally. I just know her name and that she's a dance prodigy" Jennie said.
"Ahh~" was the only thing that Chaeyoung said.
"Why do you ask?"
"Oh uh... I might have been secretly seeing Lisa for two days straight" Chaeyoung absentmindedly said.
"You what?" Jennie asked.
"Ooops" Alice squeaked.
"Wha- oh shit wait. Jennie, it's not what you think! That's not what I meant!!" Chaeyoung shouted realizing her wrong choices of words.
"Explain it to me now Roseanne Park Chaeyoung," Jennie said.
"Uh, you know what? I'll let you sleep with each other bye!" Alice said and flew from the scene.
