third person.
"you say you look bad but i can't see a single flaw on you," corbyn said as mollie answered his facetime call, the hood of the hoodie she was wearing that she had stolen from her boyfriend over her head.
"i do look bad," she mumbled, wiping her eyes as her head fell onto her pillow, "i hate being so far away from you."
"not long until you come home again," he replied, "and for a week this time."
"yeah," mollie slowly nodded, looking away from her phone screen as corbyn let out a small sigh.
"if your mental health is that bad just come home now," corbyn said, a soft tone in his voice, "i hate seeing you like this and not having any way to help."
"but i really want to go here," she replied, "i've dreamed of going here since i was seven."
"don't put education over your health."
"i'm fine." mollie shrugged, "i can deal with it, i've dealt with it most of my life now, what's two more years going to do?"
"baby," the boy frowned, "i'm worried about you."
"i'm fine." she repeated.
"you promise?" he asked, receiving a nod from her before corbyn shot her a small smile, "wanna see ashley's bunny?"
"no i just want to talk to you," mollie replied as corbyn slowly nodded, that small smile growing a little wider before cuddling into his blanket, "what did you do today?"
"i went and saw a movie with some friends," corbyn told her, "and then i saw jonah and daniel, we went for dinner someone and now i'm just playing guitar."
"have you tried to sing yet?" mollie asked, a small smile growing on her face as the boy laughed.
"no, not yet." he shook his head, "and i already said i'm not doing it with you around."
"i think you should."
"you'll make fun of me-"
"no i won't," the girl said through a small laugh, "i'll listen."
"you're not hearing until i know what i sound like," corbyn told her, "but what did you do today?"
"laid in bed, missed two classes," she explained, "and now i'm waiting for cara to get back from a meal with some new friends she made."
"you didn't want to go with her?" corbyn furrowed his eyebrows, "have you not eaten?"
"i can't think about food at all," mollie shook her head, "the thought of it makes me want to throw up."
"when did you last eat?"
"umm tuesday? maybe monday?" mollie shrugged, "one of those days."
"molls it's friday," corbyn told her, his smile fading as a frown was now beginning to appear, "you don't even want to try?"
she slowly shook her head, watching her boyfriend put down his guitar before his head went into his hands, staying in that position for longer than what mollie had expected.
"just a piece of toast or something," corbyn looked back up at her, "just one piece of toast, a bite of toast."
"corbyn-"
"please."
"we talked about this i-"
"we agreed that if i was worried i could bring it up," he interrupted her, "this is me telling you to eat because i'm worried, you're losing yourself."
"i'm not losing myself," she shook her head, "i know when i'm doing that and this isn't it."
"ok," corbyn slowly nodded, picking his guitar back up and deciding to drop the topic rather than creating an argument out of it, "just try eat when you can, yeah?"
"i will." she nodded, "and i'll let you know."
"good," he forced a small smile on his face, "oh my god i forgot to tell you that i had a fight with someone yesterday."
"over what?"
"he was saying some shit about zach," corbyn explained, "and i didn't like what he was saying so i taught him a lesson."
"but you say shit about zach all the time," mollie said as she glanced over at the door to her dorm opening, seeing a very cheery cara walk into the room with dylan following behind her.
"it's alright when i do because he knows i'm joking."
"he actually doesn't know that," mollie furrowed her eyebrows, looking back over at him, "did you hurt the person?"
"duh," he laughed, "i broke his wrist."
"corbyn," she sighed.
"he learnt his lesson." corbyn shrugged, "anyway you glanced over at the door, why?"
"cara just walked in," mollie said, pointing her camera towards cara as she waved to the boy on facetime, receiving a small wave back before the camera turned back to mollie.
"and me." dylan spoke up.
"and dylan," mollie mumbled, noticing corbyn's expression change as he tensed up slightly, "but anyway-"
"maybe i should come down to new york and meet all your new friends," the boy suggested, interrupting mollie's sentence and raising his eyebrows, "they seem like nice people."
"yep.."
"i'll come the monday before you leave for virginia and we can go together," corbyn nodded, "is there a hotel near or?"
"there's one right outside campus." mollie told him as dylan exchanged his goodbyes quickly and left the dorm.
"perfect, i'll come and visit you." he smiled, "meet some of your new friends too."
"can't wait," the girl slowly nodded, "i better go and-"
"talk to cara? ok."
"be safe bub," mollie gave him a smile as he nodded, ending the call.
just as the call had ended, mollie placed her phone down and let out a huff, receiving attention from cara who was trying to hang up her jacket.
"so he's coming to visit?"
"he got jealous." mollie replied, "because dylan was in the room."
"is he overprotective of you?" cara asked with a smile on her face, watching mollie nod and sigh, "stop that sounds cute, why did he decide to come if he's jealous though?"
"so he can show dylan that i'm his," mollie rolled her eyes, "dylan doesn't even like me like that, but corbyn gets jealous of any boy."
"well," cara laughed slightly, "i'm excited to meet him, i'm sure he's going to be a fun person to be around."
"you have no idea," the girl shook her head.
