ZHUBAO

Everything seems to slow down as I trip and fall.

But he doesn't let me hit the ground.

He shields me with his body, our eyes meeting in a moment of shock. Wasting no time, he stands up and urges me to come with him. "You need to come with me," he says.

"H-huh, why should I-""Just come with me," he insists, pulling me along with him.

The man kept pulling me along, and within a few minutes, I could clearly see the plane carrying my sibling take off.

"I've been left behind..." I struggled against the man's grip but couldn't break free. "Who are you—"

"Don't be afraid-" he said.

My words were cut off as he pulled back his hood. "J..."

Suddenly, my stomach churned, and I felt dizzy, probably from the shock.

Who wouldn't be surprised?

He was right in front of me, holding me.

He was the reason I was left behind here!

I never thought he'd be one of them, I never thought it would be him, you of all people who tries to do these things.

I don't regret missing that plane because of him.

I was about to collapse when he steadied me. "Are you alright?"

That was the last thing I heard from him before I blacked out.

She didn't respond, she just looked at me. Then, she closed her eyes and fell into my arms. I was taken aback, unsure of what had happened.I carried her to where my friends were, explaining that she had passed out. My friend asked, concern evident in his voice, "What happened to her, man?"

"I don't know, she just passed out..." I shrugged, realizing her head was resting on my shoulder. My heart raced as I held her, worried for her well-being.

My friend suggested, his voice filled with compassion, "Let's bring her to the building..."

"Alright, here's her handbag," I handed it to him, my mind still preoccupied with her sudden collapse. I couldn't help but feel a sense of responsibility towards her.

"How did you manage to carry her and her handbag?" he asked, surprised by my strength. I let out a small chuckle, trying to lighten the mood. "Muscles?"

"Yeah, muscles," I replied, a smile playing on my lips. "Let's go, she's heavy, you know?"

He chuckled in response, appreciating the moment of levity amidst the concern. Together, we carefully made our way to the building, my focus solely on her well-being.As we gently placed her on the sofa upon arrival, my other friend asked, his tone filled with curiosity, "Is this part of your plan?"

"No, not at all," I replied, my voice tinged with worry.

"I just wanted to talk to her, but she passed out. I think seeing me was too overwhelming for her." my gaze remained fixed on her as I continued, my voice laced with a mix of regret and determination, "Let them know we found her..."

"He's not here, bro..." my friend informed me, understanding the weight of the situation.

"Alright," I sighed, a mixture of relief and concern washing over me.

"Let's eat. Uh, I'm hungry," the other guy chimed in, attempting to lighten the mood.

"You just ate fried chicken!!" the guy beside me exclaimed, his frustration evident.

We all shared a momentary laugh.

ZHUBAO

I woke up to the sound of laughter and chatter, my eyes snapping open as I jolted upright. I scanned my surroundings, trying to figure out where I was. This place felt familiar, very, very familiar. I followed the noise and was taken aback when I saw them. I took a step back, accidentally bumping into a vase and causing it to shatter. I instinctively covered my mouth, my eyes widening in shock.I took deep breaths as they silently looked at me, my breathing becoming rapid.

"Am I dreaming?" I asked in their language, only to receive shook heads from all of them. "No, no, I'm dreaming. I-I don't want to assume again..."

I tapped my cheeks, hoping to wake up, but I remained in the same place.

"Don't do that..." one of them stood up and removed my hand from my cheek.

"N-No, I was just leaving the country—" I cut myself off, shaking my head. "This is IMPOSSIBLE!"

"Join us, let's eat," they invited, but I shook my head vigorously.

"This is not a dream, Zhubao..." the person signaled to the others.

They all stood up and led us somewhere.

Where were we going?

We entered a studio, and my eyes widened at what I saw.

"No way!" I whispered.

"Is she the one you chose?" he asked, my knees trembling uncontrollably. I was face-to-face with him, and I had no idea what to do.

"Yes, sir..." they all replied.

I found myself staring at my own feet, the rubber shoes I was wearing scraping against the floor. I couldn't help but notice that Ji and I were wearing the same shoes.

What is happening?

"I know it's hard for you to believe that you're here, but... this isn't a dream. We are the members and trainees of TF Entertainment, and we have chosen you as the new member to complete the 3rd Generation," they all said in unison, including the members of TNT, TF Boys, and trainees.

"But, I-I'm just a f-fan..." I stuttered, feeling overwhelmed by the situation.

"We planned to select a new member, and you turned out to be the lucky one. The 3rd Generation chose you, Zhubao..." Mr. Li Fei, the CEO, spoke with a formal tone that made me want to faint.

"So, Ji was staring at me during their concert because of this?" I asked, trying to process everything.

"Yeah, I was the first one who noticed you..." Ji replied.

"Wait, where's your sister?" Junhao asked.

"The plane accidentally left me..." I replied, my voice filled with a mix of sadness and confusion.

"So your sister is already in your country?" Yuchen asked again.

"I guess?" I answered with uncertainty, noticing the disappearance of the smile on his face. What's wrong with him?

My cellphone suddenly rang, catching the attention of everyone in the room. I picked it up, and it was Yelimi calling. "Excuse me...

I nodded to them and stepped outside to take the call."Hey, jièjiè, are you alright? I'll have gēgē Rio come and pick you up—"

I cut her off, unable to contain my excitement. "You won't believe what I'm going to tell you, mei," I said happily.

"What is it?" she asked, her voice filled with curiosity. I proceeded to tell her everything that had happened, recounting every detail. Her voice responded with a mix of surprise and disbelief to everything I shared."So, you're really there. But how about your citizenship, jièjiè? Should I tell mom?"

"I don't know what to do yet. They're waiting for me. Oh, and yes, please tell mom once you've arrived..." I trailed off, ending the call. I made my way back to the dance studio, feeling a mix of anticipation and uncertainty.

They said they would fix all the mistakes, that Ji kept apologizing for, and in the early hours of the morning, we would fly back to the Philippines using the CEO's private jet. The plan was to sort out all my paperwork as soon as possible, and Mr. Li Fei assured me that he would take care of everything. After he made that promise, he left us.

I sat on the side, next to Junhao as he greeted me, "Hello..."

"Hi..." I replied, feeling a bit awkward.

"Is that your sister who called you earlier?" he asked.

"Yeah, why?" I asked, smiling.

"Nothing..." he said, returning my smile with an even sweeter one. Oh gosh, his smile is even more adorable in person.

I'm sure I blushed.

Well, who wouldn't?

I mean, if your idol gives you a sweet smile, who wouldn't feel giddy and a bit weak in the knees?

I could literally faint right here, right now, in Junhao's arms. I'm so lucky, damn!

"Hey, Zhubao? Are you with us?" Zhixin asked.

"A-Ah, yeah..." I scratched my head, blaming Junhao for my distraction.

"Introduce yourself to the others, stand up," he smiled.

I stood up, feeling shy. "I'm Zhin Zhubao... fifteen years old, I'm from the Philippines."

"Philippines?" everyone exclaimed in surprise, except for Junhao, Zhixin, Zhicheng, and Xinhao, who nodded knowingly.

"But... Zhubao is a Chinese name, right?" Yuchen asked.

"Yeah, but that's my name..." I shrugged, sitting back down in my previous spot.

"Cool..." Hang said. "I've never met a foreigner with a Chinese name before."

"Let's dance, Zhubao?" Xinhao suggested.

"Do you know how to dance, or do you need training?" Junhao asked."I know how to dance. I'm a dancer in our school," I told him, standing up.

"You're cool. I will never regret choosing you," Zhicheng said. We danced to their song "Catch Love Girl," and the other trainees didn't pay much attention to me. It wasn't surprising since they had just met me. I felt a bit awkward, but they were all so nice to me.

My first friends here were Junhao, Xinhao, Zhicheng, and Zhixin. As we danced, I noticed that Hang wanted to join but seemed uncomfortable because of the new addition and what had happened earlier.

I hesitated to approach him. "You wanna join?" I asked."Y-Yeah, but I'm not comfortable because we're not yet friends, right?" he said.

"We can be friends..." I smiled at him."Are you sure?" he asked, surprised.

"Of course, you're my idol, and you can be my friend too..." I extended my hand, and he gladly took it, standing up.

"That's good, thank you!" we stood up and joined Junhao again. I still couldn't believe that I was here. It felt like just yesterday I was just a fan, but now I was already a trainee.

It's impossible, but it's true.

Hours passed, and the other trainees arrived. We had dinner, the best dinner of my life. It was so much fun, thanks to Zeyu. He was like the joker of the group, which is why he's my bias too. After dinner, we went to their house. We were all together here, just like in TEENS IN TIMES. "Whoa, this house is huge!" I exclaimed.

"As huge as my heart!" Zeyu said as he opened the door.

This Zeyu is such a funny kid. I love his jokes, especially when he overreacts.

"It's even more beautiful in person than in the videos," I whispered, taking in the whole place. It was stunning.

"Okay, let's arrange the rooms..." Zhixin said."No need, bro. Our room has an extra bed. Our manager brought it here a while ago, I guess," Hang said, coming out of the room.

"Is that okay for you?" Zhixin asked me.

"Yeah..." I responded, sitting beside Ji. I could see from the corner of my eye that he was shocked.

"Are you afraid of her, Douer?" Xiao Bao asked Ji, laughing.

"N-No, why should I?" he said, putting on a poker face and seeming a bit annoyed by Xiao Bao's comment.

"Weirdos," Junhao whispered as he sat beside me."Who's the weirdo?" Ji asked.

"No one," Junhao chuckled, looking at me. "What's your sister's name?""Yelimi..." I said, showing him a photo of my sister.

"She's beautiful..." he whispered, but it was loud enough for me to hear.

"I heard that!" I exclaimed.

"Why? It's true, isn't it?" he chuckled. "Just like you..."

I ignored what he said.

"What else do you want to know about her?" I smirked, seeing him become shocked.

"A-Ah, uhm, if you don't mind—" he pretended. I wasn't born last night.

"I don't..." I cut him off.

"A-Alright, how old is she?" he asked, still pretending. I guess he just wanted to talk to me. He was pretending to ask about my sister, but I wasn't fooled. I'm not clueless.

"Fourteen, just like you..." I said, smirking.

"When is her birthday?"

"May twentieth, two thousand seven," I looked at him, still smirking.

"What's her favorite color?"

"Blue..." I continued smirking. I enjoyed teasing people for real.

Yeah, for real!

"Why are you looking at me like that? If you're thinking that she's my type, oh, literally not," he said, making a face.

"Okay, you said it yourself," I nodded, still smirking.
