dinner was quite for the most part but you didn't mind since listening to endeavors voice annoyed you. though, the silence didn't last
endeavor: this is.. a bit undercooked
todoroki: so then put your quirk to use and cook it to your preference

you covered your mouth trying not to laugh, endeavor shot a look at you and you shoved rice in your mouth
fuyumi: o-oh? im sorry let me go-
natsou: no no, fuyumi. shoto has a point, and you don't have to do anything for this man.
he glared at endeavor and you all felt the tension in the air grow
fuyumi: ..
she sat back down, you saw the sad expression she had on her face. all she wanted was to have a good family, or at least an enjoyable family dinner but everytime she tried it never worked.
endeavor: shoto, how is school going?
and here it began, him trying to act like the father he never was and todoroki trying now to get mad
todoroki: fine.
endeavor: fine isn't enough to becoming the next number one hero
todoroki: how would you know? you're not even number one
you tried to hold back your laugh but a smile creeped up on your face
natsou: im going to be taking my leave now, thank you for the food

natsou: im sorry.. I just.. I cant..
he said, getting up and leaving. the rest of dinner was silent after that, no one looked up at each other, no one spoke to each other. endeavor ended up washing the dishes while you, todoroki, and fuyumi, cleaned up the kitchen
fuyumi: i'm really sorry for making you guys clean up
todoroki: y/n would've been on me about it for the rest of the week if we didn't let her help
y/n: haha..
fuyumi: y/n..?
y/n: hm?
fuyumi: I know you and my father have never really had a.. good relationship..
you laughed
fuyumi: and the past cant just erase itself but.. all we can do now is try to move forward from it.. I see he's trying to become a better father, I know he's trying.. how do you see him?
y/n: well, i'll forgive him when shoto does. the only reason we don't have a good relationship is because of the shit he did to you all and he knows i'm always on his ass about it. it's really not my place to forgive him since I wasn't apart of it but.. i'll give him his respect when shoto forgives him
todoroki looked at you for a second and then looked back down at the table
fuyumi: what about you shoto? what do you think?
todoroki: ...I don't know.. I still don't see anything from him..
endeavor came back into the kitchen and you all looked over at him
endeavor: would you two... let me take you back to school..
you looked over at todoroki who was already looking at you with hesitation. he gave you a questioning look at you shrugged your shoulders
todoroki: okay..
you finished cleaning up and talked to fuyumi for a bit and then you all said your goodbyes
y/n: thank you so much for the food, it was delicious
fuyumi: thank you for coming, and for helping after!
she laughed
todoroki: thank you, sis
fuyumi: take care you two!
you hugged and got into endeavors car
y/n: bruh he hasn't texted me
todoroki: maybe he's just busy
y/n: yeah? doing what! lord knows he ain't got shit to do
todoroki: you're right.. hmm
y/n: do you.. do you think he's cheating?
todoroki: I really doubt it-
endeavor: who's cheating
you had your head resting on todorokis shoulder and endeavor was looking at you guys through the rear view mirror
y/n: I see where you get the nosiness from
todoroki: what? I am not nosey
y/n: yes you are, bitch
todoroki: no im not
y/n: they're dating?
you said looking at your phone
todoroki: what? who? let me see?
you smirked and looked over at todoroki, he realized you were joking
todoroki: that — that doesn't count
he said, laughing. endeavor looked at you two through the mirror and couldn't help but smile a bit. he rarely heard todoroki laugh but when ever he was around you he would always hear his laughter. after a while you guys had finally arrived at school
y/n: okay but what if we just dye it black, no — BLONDE!
todoroki: what about black AND blonde
y/n: what about black and pink
todoroki: that could work
endeavor: um.. no hair dyeing please
todorokis laugh faded and he looked at his father with a blank face
todoroki: y/n
y/n: shoto
todoroki: we're dyeing my hair tomorrow
y/n: as you wish
endeavor: ..
endeavor sighed and you two started getting out of the car
endeavor: y/n
y/n: hm?
endeavor: can you stay behind for a minute?
y/n: I could, but I don't want to
you said opening the door
endeavor: please.
you froze at the door and todoroki shook his head
todoroki: you don't have to
y/n: it's okay, it'll only be a minute
todoroki: i'll wait for you
y/n: no it's cold, i'll be in in a minute
he hesitated with a concerned look but nodded and closed the car door
y/n: what's up, number two
endeavor: i'm going to ignore that
y/n: hmmm
you laughed in a hum
endeavor: thank you.
y/n: what?
endeavor: thank you for keeping shoto happy
y/n: ...
endeavor: it's..something I couldn't achieve as a father but i'm happy he has you, and i'm sorry for the way I act towards you. your mother would be ashamed of how I act towards you especially since she was my dearest friend. i'm glad you take up for her and you push me for my mistakes, to be honest you and your mothers words are what are pushing me to be a better father.. or at least trying to be. I know whats coming up in a few days... and I want you to know that i'm thankful for all you've done for my son. and i'm hoping that you can forgive me for my rude behavior towards you.
"the day" the reason you had that long emotional conversation with todoroki the other day. it was almost time to face it
y/n: listen, enji. you have committed a lot of mistakes and I can't just look past and ignore that fact. I don't mind that you talk to me the way you do, matter of fact I kinda enjoy arguing with you
you both chuckled
y/n: i'm not the one you should be asking for forgiveness, and you've got to do a lot better than just ASKING for forgiveness. actions speak louder than words, and right now, there's not a whole lot of action. Thank you for the ride, enji. drive save and have a good rest of your night.
you opened the car door and got out
endeavor: for the record, you'll always be apart of my.. broken little family. blood related or not.
you smiled a bit and nodded, you closed the door and he drove off. you walked in the dorms and saw todoroki running to the couch pretending he wasn't looking over at you guys

todoroki: shut up, what did he say?
y/n: do you want me to shut up? or say what he said? I cannot do both
todoroki: y/n
y/n: don't worry about it, it wasn't anything bad
todoroki: okay so then tell me
y/n: shoto
you said putting your hands on both his shoulders
y/n: let it go, it's not that's deep
todoroki: ughh fine!
you gasped and covered your mouth
y/n: I have never heard you whine!
todoroki: yeah well, now you have

todoroki: alright well, i'm gonna go to sleep

y/n: what?! were we really gone for that long?
todoroki: I was going to make us leave earlier but the food was too good

he chuckled, and patted your head
