~ Ali's POV ~
I ran up to my room anger and sadness in my heart. I slammed the door as hard as I could and just slid down the door onto the floor.
The truth wasn't coming now. It wasn't ever coming...
That was the last thing I had of my parents... Everyone at the orphanage tore up all my pictures and burned them...
Ra Ra was my last thing and now he was gone.
I just cried into my hands. The paper was absolutely soaked...
It could fall apart so easily.
I decided to put it on my table and get one of my coloring books. I flapped the book up and down trying to dry it. I wasn't going to stop until it was completely dry.
~ 1 Hour later ~
I was still drying it. My arms were okay and the paper was definitely drying.
I then heard a knock at the door. I completely ignored it.
Alex poked his head around the door.
"Can I come in?" He softly asked.
"Depends." I said not giving him eye contact.
He came in and sat on the chair by my door.
"Ra Ra is almost dry." He said. I just sighed.
"What do you want?" I asked.
"I'm sorry Ali, I didn't know what it was." He said.
"You should be." I said. He sighed.
"Why did you attack Braydon?" He asked. I was glad he changed the subject.
"I got angry." I said. I wasn't giving him eye contact.
"I never thought you would lash out like that though." He said. I did feel guilty.
"You would if someone was trying to take over your life." I said.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"He said he's your little. That you would dump me, and that people change and I will go to hell." I said.
He came a bit closer and I stood in front of the letter.
"Don't look." I said holding my hands out.
"I promise I wont." He said.
He crouched down, looking into my eyes.
"You are our little Ali. No one else. Just you.
I would never in my wildest dreams dump you. Ever in my whole entire life. Never ever. I would be the worst person in this universe to do that to you. You will not go to hell. Trust me on that one." He said holding my cold hands.
I flung my arms round him.
"You promise you mean all what you just said" I sniffed.
"I promise." He said rubbing my back.
"How about we go downstairs and watch something Christmassy." He smiled.
I pulled away rubbing my eyes. I nodded.
He then lifted me onto his hip and carried me out the room.
He took me downstairs where Braydon was asleep on Lloyd. He was resting his head in his hand.
"You tired?" He asked Lloyd. Lloyd nodded.
"I'll get you a coffee." I smiled. He put me in the floor and went to the kitchen.
I crawled over to the movie drawer and looked through them.
"Hey, are you okay now?" Lloyd asked. I looked round.
"Yeah, I'm okay." I smiled. He smiled.
I then saw a nice Christmas movie and smiled. I put it in the DVD player and pressed play.
Alex then came in with 2 coffees and my bottle.
He paced Lloyd his coffee and he mumbled 'Thanks'
Alex passed me my bottle
"Thank you." I smiled. He then sat down on the other end of the sofa. I sat on the floor and played.
"That coffee makes things so much better." Lloyd chuckled quietly.
"I agree." Alex smiled.
~ Bedtime ~
It was a while later and Braydon had been awake for a while.
Yes he was screaming at the moment.
Alex was just changing me while Lloyd was trying to calm his down.
Alex just blinked quite aggressively. I could tell how tired he was.
When he finished Lloyd put Braydon in the table and started trying to change him. Braydon was screaming and kicking so much. Alex put me on the floor and held Lloyd.
I just put my hands to my ears and closed my eyes.
About 20minutes later they managed to change Braydon and get him dressed.
Alex then took me to my crib but he just held onto me rocking me.
"Daddy it's okay, I'm okay to go to sleep." I said, wanting to make his life easier. He smiled at me.
"It's okay Baby. I'm alright." He said. He started rocking me and I closed my eyes. I felt bad keeping Daddy awake.
There was a lot of screaming but Alex's rocking made it impossible for me not to sleep.
I fell asleep straight away.
~ About an hour later ~
I heard the screaming again jolting me awake.
Braydon was yet agains screaming.
I just slapped my pillow on my head trying to drain the noise out.
I the heard my door open and Alex come across the room towards me. He picked me up and I felt him put something over my ears draining all the sound out.
He then started rocking me and I fell asleep straight away again.
~ Alex's POV ~
I lowers Ali into her crib knowing she would be able to sleep tonight.
I closed the door and went back to my room seeing Lloyd trying to calm Braydon down.
"When does he ever stop?" I heard Lloyd over the screaming.
"I..I don't know." I stuttered.
"Is Ali okay? I only care about her getting sleep tonight." Lloyd said.
"Yeah, those earphones worked a treat." I said. "I don't care about me getting sleep as long as she is, I'll be okay."
Lloyd nodded.
Lloyd and I tried to comfort him all night but it never happened.
~ 8am ~
I looked at the clock seeing it was 8am. I had basically been trying to calm him down all night. There is no joke in that.
I got out of bed seeing Lloyd absolutely exhausted.
I then looked down seeing Braydon finally close his eyes and he started snoring.
Lloyd and I looked at each other.
"Your fucking kidding me right?" Lloyd said.
I groaned so loud.
"I'll go get Ali up, make coffee will you?" I asked.
"Sure." He groaned.
I went out the room and walked to Ali room. She was already awake and she looked at me when I came in. I turned her light on and went over to her.
I took the earphones off and picked her up starting to rock her.
"Morning Baby." I said. I then started daydreaming.
"Daddy, you wook tired." She said.
"I'm fine Baby, really I am." I said.
"No, Daddy you need to sweep." She said, putting her arms round my neck.
"I'm okay Baby." I said walking downstairs with her.
