Ryuji POV
"You mean like an understudy? No, absolutely not" he says
"This just got a lot more complicated" I think
I point the gun to his face.
"You better tell me what the hell is going on" I say
"Don't hurt the face! I'm an actor!" He says
"You've got one minute until I beat the hell out of you. Fill it with words" I say
"It's just a role. "The Mandarin" isn't real" he says
"Then how did you get here, Trevor?" I ask
"Well, I, um, had a little problem with, um, substances. And I ended up doing things, no two ways about it, in the street, that no man should do" he says
"Speed it up!" I say
"Then, they approached me about the role, and they knew about the drugs" he says
"Did they offer to get you off them?" I ask
"They said they'd give me more. They gave me things. They gave me this palace. They gave me plastic surgery. They gave me things." He says
He then stops talking and I hear him start to snore.
"Did you just fall asleep?" I say
I then kick his leg and he jolts up.
"No, and a lovely speedboat. And the thing was, he needed someone to take credit for some accidental explosions" he says while mimicking an explosion sound
"He? Robert Robinson?" I ask
"Robert Robinson" He says
"He created you?" I ask
"He created me" he says
"A custom made terror threat" I say
"Yes! Yes! His think tank thinked it up. The pathology of a serial killer. The manipulation of Western iconography. Blah, blah, blah" he says
He then offers me a beer. Am I obviously turn it down.
"Of course it was my performance. That brought The Mandarin alive" he says
"You're performance? Where people died?" I say
"Nobody died. Look around you! The costumes, the green screens, all this equipment! I wasn't even on location for half the stuff! When I was there, it was all movie magic" he says
"There are people who were severely affected by all this. You're still going down pal. As a pro hero, you're under arr-" I stop
I see Trevor look behind me so I quickly turn around only to get punched in the face and I black out.
A few hours later...
I slowly open my eyes and see that I'm zip-tied against a bed frame.
"Ugh...Okay...How many times to I have to say that I'm not into this" I say to the person in the chair
The person turns around and who I see completely catches me off guard.
"Samantha?!" I say confused
"Hello again. I should probably tell you that the Samantha you talked to wasn't the real one. It was me" she says
"Was this all a setup?" I ask
"Not exactly. We were originally there to take that file back from the actual Samantha. But after taking care of her, you showed up and changed a few things" she says
"Well congratulations, you successfully lured me here" I say
"Oh we did more than just lure you here" I hear someone say
I look to see Robert Robinson himself walking down the stairs.
"I bet you feel great. You kidnapped a sixteen year old" I say
"You're more than just a sixteen year old. You're the son of the great Toshi Takashi. The man who changed to world. The man who changed my life for the better" he says
"Listen buddy, I really couldn't care less about your sob story" I say
"You might not, but I know that your father will" he says
"What, are you gonna blackmail him? You think we haven't gone through procedures for in case this ever happens?" I say
"Oh there will be nothing like that. The only thing that's gonna happen is that you're gonna appear live in television and announce about how you're switching sides. Essentially betraying your father like how he betrayed me" he says
"Ha! As if I would do that!" I say
"Oh you will. That is, you will unless you want to see your loved ones magically disappear. Maybe we'll have a talk with that spider kid or your invisible girlfriend" he says
"You wouldn't" I say
"Oh really? How about I give you a little teaser" he says
He takes out his phone and calls a number. He then puts the phone on speaker.
"Hello? Is this?" I hear Toru's voice
"Is this Toru Hagakure?" He asks
"Uh...Yeah, who are you?" She asks
"Toru! Hang up the ph-" I get cut off by "Samantha" covering my mouth
"Was that Ryuji?" I hear her ask
"Just here to call you that Ryuji Takashi is safe and sound" he says
"Well that's good. I saw the news and I was so worried" she says
"Wait...She would already know that I was ok" I think
"Well we're really busy right now so this will be goodbye for now" he says
"Tell Ryuji that I love him" she says
"She would have definitely called me Ryu right there" I think
He hangs up the phone and "Samantha" takes her hand off.
"You get the picture?" He asks
"Fine...When does this interview happen?" I ask
"It'll happen tomorrow at noon. So get some rest" he says
He and "Samantha" then leave the room.
"Heh, dumbass doesn't think that I know my girlfriend's speech patterns" I say
??? POV
"Tsk. I know I should have just stayed at Endeavor's agency for these last few days of the year" I think as some bastards try to cut open my suit
"Good afternoon gentlemen. Hello explosion boy. Step aside" I hear the boss bastard say
I then feel the stomach area of my suit start to heat up.
"Fuck off you bastard. You're never getting in here" I say
"Oh we'll get you out of there. Don't worry" boss bastard says
"You'll damage the armor" one of the extras say
"Yes, I will. But you can fix it, right?" The boss bastard says
"You bastards are done for if you open this up" I say
"I'm gonna take the Chinook to base camp " boss bastard says
"Dammit! That burns!" I think as the stomach area heats up more
Ryuji POV
As I'm just hanging here. My limited edition Hello Kitty watch goes off. One of the guards picks it up.
"Careful, there. It's a limited edition" I say
One of the guards then struggle to turn it off.
"Hey, ponytail. What's the mileage count between Tennessee and Miami?" I ask
"832 miles" he says
"Very nice" I say
"Can you, uh, stop that?" Ponytail asks the other guard
The guard then drops the watch to the ground.
"You break it, you buy it" I warn
He then looks at me and stomps on the watch.
"I think I bought it" he says
"Okay, that wasn't mine to give away. That belongs to my friend's sister. And that's why I'm gonna take you down first" I say
"What are you gonna do to me?" He asks
"Oh you'll see" I say
"You're zip-tied to a bed" he says
"This" I say
I then hold out my arms and call upon my suit. A few seconds pass and nothing happens.
"That" I say while holding out my arms again
"Oh I'm so scared" ponytail says
??? POV
I look that my suit is about to forcibly open.
"Wait for it...wait for it..." I think
I wait for the perfect moment to open the suit.
"Now! Open up!" I say
The suit then opens and I blast the first guy in the face. I then kick down the other extra and dodge a fire blast from the boss bastard.
"As if a little fire could take me down!" I taunt
I then suddenly get punched in the face.
Ryuji POV
"Trust me, you're gonna be in a puddle of your own blood on the ground in, five, four, three..." I say
"Come on! Do something!" Buzz cut guard says
"Two!" I say
"How did we get this shift?" Ponytail asks
"It's fine, I'm gonna give you a chance to escape. Put down your weapons and tie yourselves to those chairs and I'll let you off easy. In five, four, bang!" I say
"Wow. That was..." ponytail says
"You should already be knocked out. You should have already been gone" I say
"I am beyond terrified" ponytail says
Here it comes. Three, four..." I say
"Shut up" ponytail says
"Five, four, three, two, one!" I quickly say
Parts of my suit then come busting through the window. The right gauntlet hits ponytail in the head and attaches itself onto my right hand.
"Told you" I say
I then blast buzz cut and break both of the zip-ties. I then block an attack from ponytail and my left leg attaches itself onto me and I kick him in the chest.
"Where's the rest?" I say to myself
Charlie POV
As I'm in my room I start to hear banging coming from my lab. I look out my window and see the door being banged on from the inside. I quickly rush outside and blow the chain that was keeping the door closed up. Parts of Mr.Ryuji's suit come flying out and into the sky.
"Go get em..." I think
Ryuji POV
I look as a bunch of guards start to enter the room. I blast the doorway and hover in the air to dodge. I fly around the room and take out a few of the guards. I aim my repulsor blast at the last guard and he raises his hands and drops his gun.
"Honestly, I hate working here. They are so weird" he says
I then wave him goodbye and he goes running off. I then turn around to walk down the hallway as the rest of my suit attaches itself onto me.
"Better late then never" I say
I go outside and the rest of my suit attaches itself onto me.
"Ah, it's good to be back. Oh, hello by the way" I say
"Hello sir" Arvin says
I look to see a helicopter flying off. I then see Bakugo's suit go flying after it.
"What the hell?" I say to myself
??? POV
"All personnel, Ryuji Takashi is loose in the compound. I repeat, Ryuji Takashi is loose in the compound" a voice on the intercom says
"Tin can?" I say to myself as I stand back up and start to head outside
Ryuji POV
I try to fly into the air but my thrusters start to act up.
"Come, come on!" I say
I try to activate them but it doesn't work right now.
"Aw, crap" I say
As I'm walking down some stair I get a call from Bakugo.
"Bakugo, what the hell are you doing here?" I ask
"Long story short, I sometimes go on missions using the suit we made me" he says
"I'm hurt that you never asked me to join you, but please tell me that was you in the suit" I say
"Bastards took it from me" he says
"They actually got the best of you? Well, meet me at the main house ASAP" I say
I enter the house and see two guards with The Mandarin.
"You two, get out!" One of them says to the two women playing ping pong
"I've got eyes on The Mandarin" the other says
"Why'd you stop it? I was betting on that game" I say while walking around the corner
As they are shooting at me, Bakugo comes busting through the window and takes them out.
"What have you come as?" Trevor asks
"Don't move a damn muscle or I'll blow you to hell!" Bakugo threatens
"I never thought that people were actually hurt. They lied to me" he says
"This is The Mandarin?! This puny bastard?!" Bakugo exclaims
"Yeah, I know, it's...it's embarrassing" I say
"Hi, Trevor. Trevor Slattery" he says
He holds out his hand for a handshake but Bakugo just crackles his palms.
"I know I'm shorter in person. A bit smaller. Everyone says that. But hey, if you're here to arrest me, there's some people who would like to roll on" he says
"Here's what's gonna happen. You tell us where Robert is going and he'll stop doing that" I say while pointing to Bakugo
"Doing what?" He asks
Bakugo then burns his leg using his quirk.
"Ouch! That hurt! I get it! I get it! I'll tell you about the plan!" He says
"Finally, we're getting somewhere" I say...
