Envy's POV:

Ed's been acting a little distant lately, which is a little confusing. I've never been in a relationship before, but I know this must be normal.
I mean, spending every moment of your life with someone can get pretty boresome.
Maybe not for me, considering I'm a few hundred years old. For a mortal human, however, I understand it.

He's just less talkative than usual, is all.

"Ed, are you okay?" I ask. He's been like this for a couple days now, I have to do something.

All of a sudden, he gets up and hugs me.
"I'm sorry, Envy. I'm not ignoring you or anything. These past few weeks have been... stressful and I'm sorry for not treating you like the amazing being you are."

I realize he's crying.
"Oh, Ed. It's all right. We all have our off days, I know better than anyone." I say in confusion.

"No, Envy. It's really not. I had doubts about our relationship a few days ago. How could I have done that. I love you."

"I love you, too"
We hug for a while. For some reason he feels the need to apologize for something I'm unaware of.

"Hey, Ed. Let's take an us-day. Let's go out and do whatever the fuck we want." I tell him.

"That sounds like every other day, but I'd love to."

And we go out.
First, we get some tea. Then, we go out to the docks for a romantic picnic. Once it starts getting darker, we go on a bike ride.
Spending time with him felt nice. Although we live together, it's fun to go out and do random shit.

"Let's go somewhere else to spend the night." He suggests.

"Where to?"

"The most expensive hotel around here."

"Can you even afford that?" I question.

"Of course."

So it's decided I guess. Apparently they offer complimentary massages and free breakfast.

"I've never been to a place with massages..." I flounder.

"It's 1915, dammit. Get used to it." He laughs at me.

"Hey! I'm old, okay asshole."

"Whatever."

"If I'm being completely honest, I do wish I were mortal sometimes. I'm gonna be here forever." I tell him.

"It's not that bad. For one thing, you can't die."

We reach the hotel.

"True. But it has it's downsides. I'm just going to be here, doing nothing. What about when you die? What then..." I rant.
Greed and I have debated about this since day 1. I still have conflicted feelings.

"I guess I never thought about it that way."

Once in our room, we decide not to get massages. Instead, we talk. Talk and talk and talk. About physically anything. All from alchemy to Winry. Everything imaginable in our heads, we spoke it.
I must say, I learned new things about Ed. Like how he's deathly afraid of losing people in his life.

"Tell me about it." I had told him. Throughout my lifetime, I've lost far too many.

Now, it appears we have nothing left to say.
I glance toward the clock; it's almost 3am.

"Shit, we should get to bed." He says, reading my mind.

"Yeah" I respond.

Ed and I are back from the strange situation. In all honesty, he's the closest to perfect being I've ever met.
