I was SO inspired when I found this picture, when I say I took it, and ran with it... Sometimes a picture is all you need to get your wheels turning for a new character idea. He might be my new favorite! A ridiculous amount of planning and storytelling went into him, he's one of my prouder works. I think he's currently my longest chapter at almost 2000 words
Honestly I can't believe how many characters this book has already, I thought things would go so much slower. It isn't only growing in terms of characters, but I'm noticing more and more roleplayers coming to me, to roleplay. Thank you all for your support! You all truly make my heart feel so full DX it makes me want to do a little crryy.
Before you go into this character, just know he's quite the intensive experience. He has a lot of story details that are necessary for him to make sense. Most of these details came from my own head or are inspired by other forms of media, so don't go looking on the internet for definitions cuz they won't be right. If there's something you have questions on just ask me! I won't bite :)

The Main Dimension: the dimension where most beings exist. This is where organisms of the main plane (humans, animals etc) and even some magical creatures such as werewolves and vampires live here.

The Main Plane: this plan pretty much holds the whole of planet earth. Both the magic realm, and the main dimension are held inside of the main plane.

The Magic Realm: an extension of the main dimension, this is where most demon related beings reside, most of them are able to travel between the magic realm, and the main dimension, but lower level demons are stuck in the magic realm.

The Secondary Dimension: exist completely separate from the magic realm and the first dimension. This is where magical spirits of high caliber reside. Some ghosts even get stuck here when they are trying to cross over to the other side, which is the only thing that has a bridge to the secondary dimension. Ghosts can't move between the two on their own, they need help from the spirits (ghosts will be different from spirits in this roleplay, the terms aren't interchangeable).
As far as anyone knows, it is completely impossible for anything aside from ghosts and spirits to live inside this dimension. Although nothing else can come to this dimension, the spirits, and ghosts who have unfinished business are able to freely travel between all dimensions and realms.

Spirits: there are various different kinds of spirits, each having their own responsibilities. Spirits are necessary to help the world go round. There are spirits in charge of:
- luck
- dreams
- fortune
- nightmares
- love
- happiness
Just to name a few, there are many, many more. Multiple spirits are assigned to one category, it would be too much work for one spirit to be in charge of all request coming in from one category. Spirits are naturally drawn to people who need them, or wish for them. They can also choose to go to someone, some spirits are more mischievous than others and will use their powers on those who do not ask for their help. Most importantly, it is forbidden for them to connect with beings of the main dimension.
Animals can usually since their presence but spirits are normally only visible to one person at a time, so this spirit will only be visible to your character

Overall personality:
Cyfrin has always been the type to follow the path that has been laid out for him. If he ever strays from it he doesn't go very far, and he always comes back. He likes staying where he's comfortable, he doesn't like coming out of his metaphorical "bubble" that makes him feel safe. He's a spirit who follows the rules and does things as they should be done. Although he follows the rules, there are things that interest him that make him want to break them. Humans for instance. He finds them, and the things of their world to be so intriguing. His world is pretty much just a big empty pool so when he comes to the main dimension, he's always baffled by how much is there. Cyfrin is somewhat insecure, thanks to a past encounter he does not very easily showcase feelings of romance. He gets worried about being hurt again.
He isn't much of a talker but he always listens to what others are saying, whether or not he understands what they are saying is a different story. Spirits don't comprehend emotions the same way humans do and so he may occasionally do or say things that may offend or hurt you, without really meaning to. Even if you get upset with him, he likely won't get upset with you. Not only because anger is a weird emotion to him, but also because he has incredible patience, not much is able to ruffle his feathers. Although most spirits are able to do their job and move on to their next assignment, Cyfrin is different. He gets attached to his subject a lot of the time, and usually stays even after he has completed his task. This is a dangerous habit of his but he has yet to get caught, that is, until he meets you.

Background story:
Cyfrin was born out of a magical flower in the secondary plane. He was never a baby, he's had the same appearance for his whole life, and will not age. He has been to the main dimension and has helped many humans. Humans have always fascinated him, he watches over them whenever he comes to earth. How long he stays with one human is completely up to that human, but this relationship works both ways. He can also leave early if he wants and another spirit can take his place. Although it is technically forbidden for spirits and humans to be romantically involved, Cyfrin once fell for one, that one being David. David was an insomniac so Cyfrin was contracted to him for a long time, helping him sleep.
Cyfrin fell for him over that period of time that they were together. Sadly for the little dream spirit the feelings were not mutual, he wasn't romantically attached but David did find Cyfrin attractive. Unfortunately David decided to take advantage of Cyfrin's feelings for him and used him for sex. They hooked up once, and the very next day David felt bad for his actions so he confessed how he really felt. This was when Cyfrin experienced heart break and anger for the first time. Without any notice, he left David and hasn't felt the same about romance since. This really hurt him but it didn't change his personality, he isn't the kind of person (well spirit) to get bitter, he tends to take things in stride.

You have had a really rough time sleeping lately. You don't know what's causing them but over the past few nights, you've had these really horrendous nightmares that make it almost impossible for you to sleep, and they seem to get worse every night. One night, you get ready to go to bed and lay down expecting to be confronted with the same nightmares as every night, but when you close your eyes and drift off, your meant with a comforting warmth. A boy appears in your dreams, he makes you laugh, dances with you, comes with you through all of your best memories... who is he? You're sure you've never met him before. You wake up the next morning feeling refreshed and the most well rested you have ever been in weeks. Just as you go to get out of bed, ready to start the day with your new found energy, there's a boy laying next to you in bed, staring right at you. You recognize him, he was in your dreams last night.
