" Ma you gotta meet the new coach. She dope as freak and she know how to hoop." My son Micah tells me as I make dinner.
" Yea Ma she real cool. She said that she see's us getting drafted in the future" my other son Malek says agreeing with his brother.
" Okay so what happened to all that talk about and I quote 'the new coach being a bitch' " I ask them with a chuckle
" That was before we even knew who she was. Anyways maybe tomorrow when you pick us up from practice you can meet her. " Micah says and Malek nods
" Okay, I'll meet her tomorrow when I pick y'all up. I might come a little early to watch y'all practice since I get off early tomorrow" I tell them and I turn to put the wings in the sweet buffalo sauce.
" Heyy ma, can Kaiden come over" Malek asks me hesitantly and I turns around to face in with a smirk on my face.
The thing is Malek is Bi; he hasn't told me yet but I know my kids. He had a crush on this boy named Kaiden that is on the basketball team with them.
" Yea sure, I'm making enough anyways. Y'all eat like you haven't ate in years. Micah if you want you can bring someone over too" I tell them
" yesss, I'm finna go pick him up. Love you mama" Malek tells me and kisses my cheek grabbing his keys and walking out the door

" Girl your here early today" my Bestfriend kiara says as I sit beside her in the gym
" I got off early, and Micah and Malek won't leave me alone about meeting their new Coach. Have you met her?" I ask her and she smirks
" Why are you smirking" I say and narrow my eyes at her
" Yea I've met her. You have too" she says but mutters the last part so I couldn't hear her
" Okayyy. Is she good like they say she is" I say and look at her
" Yep , might be the best the school has ever had" she says and I nod
" Where is everyone? It's so empty" I ask her while looking around the empty gym
" their outside. Coach had them on the court out there today since they have been complaining about being inside" she says and I nod
" So tell me why my son came home last night looking flushed" Kiara says. Her son is Kaiden by the way
" Chile, him and Malek was flirting all night at dinner. It was like 10:00 when he left." I guess Malek didn't ask me if he could stay because " I might suspect something" " I tell her and we laugh
" Girl I don't see why he just won't tell you he's bi" she says
" I told know eithe- MA" Micah coming in the gym calling my name
" What boy? Why are you yelling" I say to him as he walks up to me.
" Come on practice about to be over an Coach waiting to meet you" he tells me rushing me to get up
" Okay damn I'm coming. By girl I call you later" I get up and tell Kiara bye
" Bye" she says with a smirk. Why the hell she keep smirking
I walk out the gym and follow Micah to the court where I see Malek standing next to someone; I'm assuming it's their coach.
I walk up to them I and Malek pulls me in front of the taller woman and I freeze.
Megan Jovon Ruth Pete
My high school sweetheart. Back then we were the "it" couple. We ended up breaking up when we went off the college, but we had a lot a chemistry
"Ma this is Coach Pete. Coach Pete this is our mom" Micah says and she stares at me shocked before speaking
" Oh uh wow, Y/N. It's so good to see you. You have some very talented young men" she says and pulls me into a hug
" It's good to see you too. And thank you. They are very passionate about basketball." I say to her and she smiles at me and I look down
" Wait y'all know eachother" Micah and malek both say
" Yea your mom and I went to high school together" she says.
Yea we slept together too but we not gone speak on that
" Wow that's crazy" they says
" Hey boys, how bout y'all go to the car while I catch up with Megan" I tell them and throw them my keys. I turn back to Megan
" Soo how have you been" I ask
" Good, I played basketball for 4 years in college. After I graduated I got by license to be a physical therapist. I did that for a few years and now I'm a basketball coach. I still do physical therapy on the weekends though. " she say and I nod
" wow, I'm happy you achieved your goal" I smile at her and she smiles back. Megan always wanted to be a physical therapist.
" So what about you" she asks
" Well there isn't much to tell. I graduated college and became a nurse. I went to this nursing school for about two years and got my license. I met this dude we dated for about 2 years and I got pregnant he was in a bad car accident and passed away. And I raised two handsome boys" I say smiling thinking about the passed few years
" those were some eventful years. I'm sorry for your loss" she say
" Thank you"
" So the team is going to Orlando next month. You should come. " she tells me while rubbing the back of her neck. Aww she's nervous
" Yea I'm going to be there. Those boys are attached to my hip" I say and we laugh
" I can tell, they talk about you a lot" she says and she pulls out her phone
" Hey, put your number in my phone. We should catch up sometime" she says and I type in my number.
" It was good to see you" I tell her and we hug again before departing
" It was good to see you to" she says and I begin walking to my car. I see the boys on their phones.
" What we eating tonight" I ask them pulling out the parking lot
" Ouu let's go to Chili's. The food is on me" Malek says
" Okay Chili's it is then"
After dinner
We make it back to the house and I take a shower. While I'm showering I remember the conversation me and Kiara had earlier
