"How about Saturday? I know it's only 4 days notice but I hope that's ok" Jeno's mum said. We all nodded.
It was now time for all of us to sit down and eat. Jeno took my hand and we both went to sit down in our places. Our seats looked like thrones, I sat down In the chair and felt like a queen, I then looked over and smiled at Jeno - he looked like a king.
Waiters started coming over and serving us the starter. Before everyone began eating, Jeno raised his champagne glass and shouted "cheers!!". I did the same which caused everyone to copy.
For starters was a vegetable couscous salad — it was slices of green courgettes, stacked on top with yellow courgettes, then aubergine, yellow squash and beetroot with a sprig of parsley to finish it off, the couscous was around the vegetable stack mixed in with peppers. I took a bite which immediately made me moan because it was just outstanding. I heard a laugh from the right side of me.
I looked to see Jeno staring right at me with a smile "enjoying that honey?" he questioned. I stuffed some more food into my mouth and nodded. We both laughed together and continued to eat.
Next was the main meal, tacos!! I absolutely loved tacos. I took a large bite which caused some of the sauce to go all over my mouth. I giggled and quickly wiped the sauce away with my napkin. I looked over to see Jeno with some sauce at the side of his face too. I started to laugh, he turned to look at me with a confused expression. I grabbed the corner of my napkin and slowly rub the sauce away from his face.
While I was doing that, Jeno had his eyes glued on me. I started to get lost in his eyes. Time stopped for a moment around us as we just kept looking at each other, Jeno then started to lean in and I did the same. Our lips gently touched as we had a quick kiss, I heard a few "oooo's" as we pulled away. I became flustered and just went back to eating. Jeno chuckled as he saw a slight blush spread across my cheeks.
The waiters took away our plates which only meant one thing....dessert!!!! They brought a large plate filled with mini apple pies, mini strawberry cheesecakes, mini eclairs and mini cookies. Jeno and I shared the plate between us which felt romantic. I first dug into the mini apple pies, they were quite warm which made them even tastier. I kept stuffing more and more cakes in my face, they were just too delicious.
After eating the cakes I leaned back in my chair, gosh I was so full.
It was now time for speeches. First up, my family. My mum, dad and brothers all made a speech and I felt emotional, tears were pouring down my eyes which caused my mascara to run down my cheeks.
Jeno gave me a quick kiss and held my hand which made me feel better.
