Aman's P.O.V
Three weeks later, Alina's designs were almost ready. She works from home as she doesn't have her own office yet.
I introduced her to the staff through Skype earlier. Everyone liked the ideas. Every once a week she comes to the office to discuss or show her designs.
I offered her a office and some staff to help her out here but she declined.
"I am still a newbie. I need to prove myself first and get permanently hired." This is what she said to me and I agreed.
I learnt a lot about her in these weeks. She is quite talkative when she gets comfortable. But I am not complaining. I feel like I could listen to her talking for all my life.
Her voice is like a melody. It sounds like silk to me. So smooth and pretty like her. She also has a habit of gesturing while talking. She moves her hands a lot. It's adorable.
I was working when Rehaan entered. I looked at him waiting for him to talk. "We are going on a trip!" Was the only thing he shouted and then started jumping all over my office.
"What?" I looked at him confused.
"We are going on a trip. Won't it be so fun?" He said still excited but standing at one place.
"Why are we suddenly going on a trip? And when did I agree to this?"
"Did you not check your email?"
I shook my head and opened email. Going through some unopened ones I finally opened one by the Manhattan team.
"They want us to inspect the site once?"
He nodded excitedly. "So it's a trip!"
I nodded in understanding. Suddenly I had an idea. "We should take Alina too. She is the interior designer. She needs to see the site too, right?"
"You just want to take her on a trip, don't you?" He asked.
"It's just a benefit. The main reason is work."
After thinking something for a minute, he looked like he had a light bulb moment. "Let's ask Madiha too!"
"Her best friend? Why?"
"Because she is her best friend. She would be more comfortable with her around."
I hummed. "That sounds good but why are you so excited about it?" I asked.
"Because I like trips. Why else would I be excited?"
"I don't know maybe because you have a crush on Madiha?" I asked teasingly.
"Focus on your own love life not mine!" He shouted and immediately left.
He does like her, doesn't he? He makes it so obvious. I decided to call Alina to talk about the trip.
I called her and then I heard a phone ringing outside my door. Then a knock. "Come in." I said.
Alina opened the door and came in smiling. "You were calling?"
I smiled at the coincidence too. "Yes I had something to discuss."
She sat down and took out her tablet probably to show me the designs.
"The construction is almost done only a few final touches are left." She nodded at me to continue. "We need to go check out the site now."
"We need to go there personally?" She asked emphasising on we.
"Yes. I think it would be better if you come since you can get a better understanding of the suits. You can also talk with the main interior designer about the rest of the hotel designs."
She nodded and smiled. "So we are going to Manhattan?"
"Yes. If that's okay with you?"
"Are you kidding me? It would be so fun."
"Oh one more thing. You can bring Madiha with you, if you want to."
Her eyes immediately lit up. "Really? She can come too?"
I nodded at her. And she smiled so brightly I wanted to give her my everything there and then.
We discussed the designs after that and she left about two hours later. We decided we would leave after three days.
Alina's P.O.V
I cannot believe I am actually going to Manhattan. Even though it's for work it's still a trip.
I run straight home to tell Madiha the great news. Reaching home I realised that she must be still at school so I just decided to cook dinner.
I defrosted some chicken and cooked rice with it. When Madiha finally arrived I was almost done with the dinner.
I jumped on her as soon as she entered making her fall down on the ground with me on top of her.
I got up and helped her up too. "You won't believe what happened today!"
"What happened?" She asked walking towards her room with me following her.
"We are going to Manhattan!"
"We? Why?"
"I need to go with Aman to inspect the site of hotel and he said you can come too." I explained everything with a big smile.
"I am not sure if I can come." She drawled out.
"Why? Please come. It would be so fun." I pleaded.
"What about school?"
"You still haven't used your holiday days! Please come Madiha. Please." I pleaded again.
"I will think about it, okay?" She sighed.
Madiha's P.O.V
I really don't know whether I want to go or not. I agree that it would be fun but I have a feeling that I would be a third wheel and I don't want that.
I went to wash up. When I came back I noticed I had one unopened message.
Seeing it's from Rehaan I opened it. Excited for the trip? Can't wait for it. Let's have lots of fun.
A smile spread on my lips. So Rehaan is coming too. Maybe I should go too. I am not going because of him obviously. I am going because this means that I won't be a third wheel anymore.
I went out and saw Alina setting the table. I helped her and we both sat down for dinner. "So when are we going?" I asked as naturally as possible.
"You are coming?" She cheered loudly. "After three days."
I nodded. "I will submit the form for the leave. Let's go shopping tomorrow."
"Okay. Thank you so much." She said making kissing noises.
I laughed. "Enough of that. I know you love me."
"I do." Saying she winked at me.
Rehaan's P.O.V
"Take whichever. Why does it matter?" I asked annoyed.
We have been packing for half the day now. He keeps asking me which shirt is better or which suit is better. I told him they all look alike but he glared at me.
"Don't you have to pack?" He asked.
"No. I will do it later."
"You will do it at the very last minute again. And then whine when you forget something."
"That's not true." I said even though I know it's true.
He just rolled his eyes and continued packing. I rolled over in his bed.
"Don't you think this trip will be very fun?" I asked.
He smiled. "Yes, I think it would be amazing."
I nodded excitedly and messaged Madiha asking her what's she doing.
She texted back almost immediately saying she is out shopping with Alina.
I replied an okay and have fun and she sent a smily face.
Madiha's P.O.V
Replying to Rehaan I put my phone back in my purse and looked around. We were currently in a shop with lots of cute dresses.
We shopped the whole day. We tried on a variety of clothes and had a lot of fun. It had been long since we had a girls day out.
I can't wait for this trip. I have a feeling it would be great.
