Ryuji POV
I wake up the next day and look at Toru sleeping next to me. I try to get up but I then notice that's she's holding onto my right arm.
"Toru, I kinda need to get up" I say while gently shaking her
"No way...You've just gotten back and I've missed you..." she says
"I get that but I'd like to work on my prototypes a little bit before I'm forced to leave" I say
She doesn't budge from my arm.
"Alright that's it, I'm gonna pull out my secret weapon" I say with a smirk
10 minutes later...
"You satisfied now?" I ask
"Yes...I am...I'll come and see you off in a bit" she says while panting
I get up and I take a look at my prototype nanobot.
"I hate having to put a project on pause, but I can't have a robot work on this while I'm gone. These are extremely delicate at first so I have to personally be here" I say to myself
I then check up on my other project.
"Looks like Ryuji jr is making enough bots to speed up the process a lot more than originally calculated" I say
I then get dressed and all that and head down to the common area.
"Hello Ryuji! I had a lot of fun last night!" Kris says
"Well I'm glad to hear that. Tell Cap and everyone else that I'll meet them by the gate, I want to go and see my precious Eri real quick" I say
I head to where Aizawa and Eri live.
"Aizawa! I'm here to see my precious unicorn!" I say while banging on the door
"Ryu?!" I hear my angle's voice
"Mr.Takashi?!" I then hear Ren's voice
"Ren?" I say confused
The door opens and I see both of them standing at the entrance.
"Ryu!" Eri exclaims while hugging my leg
"Mr.Takashi!" Ren exclaims while hugging my other leg
"Hello you two, I didn't expect to see you here Ren" I say
"I accidentally fell asleep here last night" he nervously says
"Does this mean you're back now?" Eri asks
"Sadly I'm only here to visit. After I'm done seeing you two I have to go and finish my third mission" I say
"Oh...Ok..." she says a bit gloomy
"But do not be sad! I only have one other mission after this one before I can finally return for good" I say
She then gets a bit happier.
"Ren, you better be treating this little lady right" I say
"I-I am sir!" He says
"Ren is the best! We always have lots of fun together, sometimes he uses big words so that he can be like you but he always tells me what they mean" Eri says
"E-Eri! Don't tell him that I do that!" Ren says now embarrassed
"First off, Ren is the best? Ouch. Secondly, I'm proud that you're learning big words and teaching them to Eri. Thirdly, I have some souvenirs for you two that I bought when I was in Shanghai" I say
I kneel down and dig around in my bag for the gifts.
"For my little unicorn, I bought well a unicorn" I say while pulling it out
"It's so pretty! But...what's a unicorn?" She asks
"A unicorn is a magical creature with only one horn" I say
"Wow! Kinda like me!" She says
"That's why you're my little unicorn" I say
"Wow! Is this jade?" Ren asks
"It's jade and glass" I say
I then dig in my bag for Ren's gift.
"And for my little wall crawler, I got you a spider" I say while handing him the gift
"Wow! This is so cool!" He exclaims
"Now be careful with these because they are very fragile and very expensive. But who am I kidding, I'd spoil you two if I could" I say
"Thank you for the gift Ryu!" Eri says while giving me a hug
"Thank you Mr.Takashi!" Ren says while also giving me a hug
"Oh geez, you two make me not want to leave. But I must! I have a duty as a hero to uphold" I say while hugging them back
I begrudgingly let them go and stand up.
"I must be off now. My team needs me" I say
"Wait! I almost forgot to give you something!" Eri quickly says
"Oh right! Me too! Please wait here" Ren says
They both run off into the home and I wait for a few moments. They both then come back each holding a envelope.
"Whenever you miss us again, you can read these if you want too" Eri nervously says
"Did...Did you write me a letter?" I ask
"Ren and Lemillion have been helping be learn how to read and write..." she says
"Mine is a bit longer than hers so you don't have to read both of them at once" Ren says
"Thanks you two, I'll read these whenever I start to miss you both" I say
We then say our goodbyes and I start to head to the gate. As soon as I leave the building I open Eri's letter.
"Mister Ryu, thank you for risking your life to save me. I am very thankful. Thank you for buying and making me a bunch of things. I like them a lot! You are very nice and smart and I always miss talking to you" is what her letter says
At the bottom there is a little drawing of my suit. I can't help but smile and tear up a little bit. Once I calm back down I go to open Ren's letter.
"Dear Mr.Takashi. I'm sorry if this letter is a big long, there are just a whole lot of things that I want to say to you that are very embarrassing to say in person. I want to thank you again for saving me that day, I know that you still feel bad about not being able to save my uncle but please don't. I don't feel any hate towards you at all, if anything, I only feel gratitude towards you for everything you've done for me. I used to be very insecure about my quirk since I can't even use one of the Orchard Spider's abilities since I'm a boy. But you made me feel better about it so now I train super hard so that I can make you proud. I never really knew my mother or father so whenever I'm around you I always think,"Is this what having a father is like?". Sorry if that weirds you out...Thank you again for everything you've done, not just for me, but for everyone you've saved. From, the future hero, Spider-Man" is what the letter says
I smile and start to tear up again.
"Spider-Man, huh? I like that name, it suits him" I say while wiping my eye
(A.N. This universe's Spider-Man👀)
I then get an idea.
"Arvin, make a new folder and put it in my future projects section" I say
"What's shall it's name be, sir?" He asks
"Call it...My successor" I say with a smile
I then make my way to the gate where I see my team and Toru waiting for me.
"About time" Nadia says
"I had to go and see Eri and Ren. But don't worry, I already called us a ride to the airport" I say
"Please be safe out there Ryu" Toru says
"You know me, I'll try my best" I say
"I'll be waiting for you when you get back" she says
"I would hope so. Make sure to keep everyone in check for me while I'm gone. I'll hopefully, fingers crossed, be back before at least for New Year's" I say
"Come on Ryuji. Our ride is here" Nadia says
"I'll see you soon, Toru" I say as I give her a kiss
We part and I head to the car. It drives us off to the airport where our jet is waiting for us. We board and put in coordinates for Yu Garden.
"Alright team, since we don't know exactly where the meeting will take place, we'll all split up and stakeout separate sections" Cap says
He then pulls up a map and tells us all where we'll be staking out.
"The Zigzag Bridge, the Mid-Lake Pavilion, and the Yuyuan road, huh? I suppose I should be the ones to look there since I can fly above and keep a look out for boats and all that" I think
"Remember to stay safe out there, we never know what the enemy could have" Cap finishes
I spend the rest of the time in the jet looking over the progress on my other project. While also jotting down ideas for my little project with Ren. Eventually we arrive in Shanghai again and we all head to the Yu Garden.
"Make sure to not engage combat unless you are absolutely sure you can handle it by yourself" Cap tells us
We all head in our separate directions. I fly over to a building that's perfectly in the middle of where I'm supposed to stakeout.
"I highly doubt that they would do the deal here in the daytime. So while I wait for nightfall, let's see if my builder bot remote control program works" I say to myself
From my suit, I open the program and see a large list of bots I could remote control.
"Looks like Ryuji jr has become quite the father, or would it technically be mother?" I say
I select Kevin, one of my oldest bots, and a screen pops up showing the bots POV. I look around the giant warehouse all these bots are in and I look at what they've gotten completed.
"Damn, already got a third of the feet done. The estimated time of completion is only about a little over the rest of this month. I love my builder bots" I say
I spend my time hovering around the project and sometimes scolding a bot when they mess up through the microphone function. Eventually nighttime comes and I turn off the program and start to look for the delivery. I decide to go and fly around the lake to see if I can find anything that I can't see from the building. As I'm flying around, I see two trucks, one of them behind a moving truck, parked next to each other on the Yuyuan road, where there are no other people around.
"Arvin, give me a closer look on those trucks" I say
Arvin zooms in and I see two people talking. I keep watching them and eventually one of them goes around back of the truck and opens to back. I then see a whole bunch of children in chains just sitting there.
"Everyone, suspects have been found on the Yuyuan road. I'm engaging combat" I say
"On it, we'll be there soon" Cap says
I fly down and slam into one of the people standing outside. I then take down the person behind the truck with a repulsor blast. Four people come out of each truck and I take them all down. I then head around back and look at all the scared children.
"It's gonna be ok, you're all safe now" I try to ease them
I then hear a bunch of cars coming from behind us. I look back and see a bunch of cars coming at us from both sides of the roads.
"I can't risk blowing up all those cars by accident, especially in such a small area...Well, I guess it's time to test out my driving skills" I think
I close the truck and quickly get into the drivers seat.
"Arvin, pull up "How to Drive a Moving Truck" manual" I say
"This is such a bad idea, sir" Arvin says
"We'll be fine. I've flown a jet, how much different could it be?" I say
I start the truck and hit the gas. It drives off but the cars are gaining on us.
"You better give back that merchandise!" I hear someone yell from a car
He then starts to shoot a gun at us. A bunch of people from the cars start to follow suit.
"Man, their aim sucks" I say
"Ryuji, what the hell am I watching?!" Logan asks
"Oh you know, I'm just taking a drivers course" I say
"This is illegal on so many levels" he says
"Well sometimes you've gotta break the law for the greater good. Plus I already have something ready incase they try to arrest me for driving without a license. Now enough talk, think you could help me out here?" I ask
"Make sure not to cause too much property damage. And do not kill anyone" Cap says
"Why do you think I'm driving?" I say
"I know what I'm doing Steven" Logan says
I look in the rearview mirror and see some of the cars in the back be taken out from Logan's arrows. I then hear a loud bang and I see Hulk slam down and stop all of the cars. I quickly stop the truck and get out.
"Man, that wasn't as hard as I thought it would be" I say while watching Hulk turn back into Yami
"Now we've just gotta get some information" Logan says as he comes over to us
"I'll let you all handle the stuff here, I'll head back to where I found the trucks and interrogate the criminals that we're making the deal" I say as I fly off
I land to where the 6 criminals are and I pick one of them up.
"Alright buddy, you're up first" I say to myself
I then slap the guy and he jolts awake.
"What the hell?!" He shouts
"Tell me where the main base is! If you don't tell me I will literally break every single bone you have one by one until you are nothing but a sack of broken bones and pain!" I shout
"Ok ok I'll tell you!" He cries
"Well that was easy, a lot easier than my last interrogation" I think
He tells me that their main base of operations is in Beijing. I knock him back out and call the police.
"I've found out where their main base is. I'll meet you all back in the jet for a meeting" I say over coms
"Roger that" Cap says
I fly back to the jet and wait for the rest of my team. Once everyone arrives we start the meeting and I tell them that the base is in Beijing.
"Did you find out where in Beijing?" Cap asks
"I did, he said that the base is in the nanyuan residential district" I say
"We'll head over there tomorrow, great work today team. We saved a lot of children today" Cap says
"Let's just make sure that Ryuji doesn't start doting on every single child that was in that truck" Nadia jokes
"Come on now, I only dote on children that see me as some kind of magnificent role model in life" I say
"What's gonna happen if you have fans like that when you're an official pro?" She asks
"Oh you know, I could spoil all my fans every now and then" I say
She just shakes her head and heads off to do her own thing. I take off my suit and get out my laptop to continue some work.
"You know. Every time I say that things are gonna go well, I always jinx it. So maybe if I say that things are gonna go terribly, the mission will go extremely well" I think...
