Bakugo POV:
After attacking the Nomu so many times I lost count it goes flying in the opposite direction and lies still on the ground. Breathing hard I stumble to wear Deku's limp body lies on the floor. He has his arms tucked to his chest and is curled up in an almost fetal position. Suddenly unable to support myself I drop to my knees ignoring the sharp pain caused when I hit the floor. "Deku" I breath out shakily, reaching for him and pulling him close to my chest. I cradle the back of his neck but his body stays limp and I feel a desperate coldness creep up my spine. I relax a little when I see the rise and fall of his chest, but I still feel uneasy. The next thing I know he's being taken from me and I desperately try to hold on. I didn't even hear the first responders arrive. I eventually get my bearings and relent to them but insist that I travel in the same ambulance as Deku. They lay Deku on a stretcher and wheel him into the large white machine.
It's been two weeks now, but I refuse to give up hope. Deku will wake up...he will. I sigh in frustration I can barely even convince myself of it not to mention his worried mother, who I have been trying my best to comfort. I know Deku wouldn't want her to worry and she's one of the few people, I can tolerate in this world. I've barely left Deku's side this whole time, when I'm away I feel uneasy as if the league of villains will take him back in his vulnerable state. My logical side knows this isn't true though, Shigaraki and many other members of the league of villains where captured that day. My stomach grumbles and I get up and walk to the vending machine in the hall grabbing a sandwich aggressively and sitting back down at the foot of Deku's hospital bed. The sandwich tastes a little bit like plastic but is still acceptable and a gulp it down hungrily in just a few bites, I guess it was the first time I ate today. I look over at Deku sleeping peacefully, I suddenly think about wanting to spend the rest of my life by his side and it doesn't scare me at all. I suddenly get up and stare closer at Deku's face......did his eyes just flicker, I can't be too sure.
