"I will now take the opportunity to introduce myself properly to the remaining 42 applicants"
"I am Netero, the Chairman of the Selection Comittee for this year's Hunter Exam."
"It's a pleasure to meet all of you." Netero announces
"And I'm his secretary, Beans" the green blob says who was at the beginning of the exam passing out numbered badges
"I had originally planned to make my appearance during the Exam's final phase but, well seeing as how I'm already here..."
Netero spoke but the atmosphere grew tense a few applicants smirked or look serious
"I have to admit, there's nothing I love more than this feeling of tension in the air." Netero laughs "So, I think I'll stick around for the remainder of the trip."
Killua yawned, boredom hiting him along with Y/N and Gon who is looking around
"We are schedule to arrive tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m exactly. You'll find dinner waiting for you in the dining hall." Beans states "Your also welcome to get some rest of course"
"You're free to do as you please until we contact you. The evening is yours"
Time was 9:14
"Hey come on, Gon!, Y/N! Let's go explore the airship!"Killua suggests
"Yeah!"

The kids laughed and went off to explore
"They've got so much energy" Leorio looks towards the kids run out the door
"Not me though, all I wanna do now is crash." Leorio sighs "As do I" Kurapika agrees, sounding worn out
"However, there is one thing that still concerns me." Kurapika spoke as the both of them started walking out the door
"Oh what's up?" Leorio asked "How many more phases are there in the exam?" Kurapika responds
"Huh, yeah they haven't said, have they?" Leorio says they were about to exit but,
"As long as I've been doing this, it's averaged five or six." Tonpa butts in "Which means that we've still got another three or four left to go." Leorio whines
"Well, in that case we should get some rest now, while we can." Kurapika says
And the two of them where about to leave again but stopped by Tonpa words
"Okay but, I'd be careful if I were you."

"You heard the secretary, right?"
"He only told us when we're arriving, he didn't say that the Third Phase of the Exam wasn't going to happen right her-"
Tonpa froze
"Yeah but Beans even said he'll contact us when it's time." A multicolor hair girl spoke up behind her friends
Kurapika and Leorio turned to their female friend
"Remember what I told you Tonpa at the beginning of the exam?" Y/N glared at Tonpa "I advise you to not mess with my friends" Your voice came out coolly
"R-right I-I'll just show myself out" Tonpa hurried to the exit
"Um, thanks Y/N, but what are you doing here?" Leorio asked you "I thought you were with Gon and Killua?"
"oh, Gon and Killua went to raid the kitchen, I needed to head to the bathroom and it's the opposite way I just happen to catch you guys talking with Tonpa" you spoke now becoming calm once more
"Right," Kurapika says unsure. You bid them a farewell and actually head to the bathroom

You looked at the hook on the bathroom door and looked at your jacket that was now hanged on it

"You mean, who'll pass the Exam?"

"Gee, I don't know."
"I guess it depends on what the other phases are." Buhara questions "that's a good point. I hadn't thought of that." Menchi spoke "but a few of em stand out, didn't you notice?"
"And one even has this whole aura thing going on. And another her entire personality a mysterious" Menchi says amused "what do you think Satotz?"
"Im inclined to agree."
"I quite like the rookies this year." Satotz replies to Menchi question "Yeah! Same here!"
"I like number 294 and 1" "I really think they got a good shot at wining" Menchi says

"Though it pains me to admit this, I feel we are all birds of a feather with him but, his affinity for darkness, is infinitely stronger than ours." Satotz states aware of their similarities
"We hunters, as you know, are constantly seeking out new rivals."
"Speaking of applicants what do you think about No.1?" Menchi asks "I personally like her."
"She is something else in fact she kinda intrigues me, knowing that she always ready for anything that comes her way." Satotz agree reminiscing from the previous Phases

"HEY KIDS!"
"Huh?" You say looking towards the sound and drifting away from your thoughts
Your standing outside the door of the kitchen facing the door
"What are you doing?" A clouded voice yells in the kitchen

"Stay out of the kitchen!" The clouded voice spoke again except it got clearing
The kitchen door opened a chef grabbed two boys shirt or jacket with his right hand and dropped them. Which the boys landed on the floor with a oof infront of a startled Y/N
"Go eat in the dining hall with the others!" The chef spoked and closed the door shut
The boys had a huge turkey leg in their mouths like they had chibi bodies
"Wow you guys those are some huge turkeys" you speak with a smile and a eye brow raised. They both gave a nervous chuckles or what came out their stuffed mouths was muffled

The 3 kids walked down the hallways two of them munching down their food

"I'm from a family of assassins, so yeah, we're all in the business of murder" Killua now stated out the window again lost in thought "And my entire family, they've got real high hopes for me." Killua say exhausted at the near mention "but you know, I can't stand it."
"Who wants their whole life mapped out for'em?" Killua quickly turned away from the window and faced Gon and you
"When I told them I wanted to decide my own future." "They all flipped out. It was crazy!" Killua gestures "My mom had tears just streaming down her face and she kept screaming at me how I had the potential to be a top assassin"
Gon laughed slightly

"No wonder I'm rotten! Then we started fighting, so I slashed my mom in the face, stabbed my brother in the side, and ran away from home." Killlua says as if it's a good achievement he never had before

"When I get my license, I'll hunt'em down to the last one!" "I'm willing to bet they even got pretty hefty bounties on their heads." Killua turned into a pretty boi Gon and Y/N stood to the side nervously smiling

You and Gon were silently watching the stare down between them. "What do you want?" Killua grew annoyed "you don't have anything to do till the last phase, isn't that right?"
"Now, now, no need to be so unkind." "I just got a little bored, so I decided to look for some company." Netero says
"By the way, I've been meaning to ask you. Any thoughts on your first attempt at the Hunter Exam?" Netero gave a closed eye smile
"Yeah! It's a lot of fun!" Gon quickly replies "There haven't been any written test yet and I was kinda worried about that" Gon says smiling. "It's fun! Which is all that matters to me." Y/N says also smiling
"I'm actually a little disappointed." "I expected this to be a lot more challenging, but I assume the next phase will be more interesting." Killua spoke uninterested
"Oh well..we'll see." Netero responds and looks to the left
"Let's go, Gon, Y/N" Killua snarks and begins to walk away "wait, just a moment"
"Hm?"
"Would you like to play a little game with me?" Netero ask. Killua stops walking and slightly turns his head toward the old man. "Game?" Gon repeats
"And to make it interesting, if you three. An beat me, I'll make you Hunters on the spot" Netero claims "Really? I'll play!"Gon perks up. "heh, I doubt we'll be able to beat you" You utter under your breathe sighing

The ball bounced up and down and landed on Netero left hand's pointer finger. "Now, let's go over the rules of the game. All you have to do is simply take this ball away from me."
"If you can do that before the airship arrives, you win!" Netero states "let's see, we're scheduled for an 8:00 a.m. arrival, yes?" "Well, that's not too bad. You still have nine hours left and feel free to use any tactics you want."
"I will only defend, I promise." Netero says as the ball on his finger randomly starts spinning.
"Huh? That's too easy! It's...barely even a game!" Gon stands dumbfounded "Then why not give it a try and see if you're right?" Netero says "all we have to do is take the ball?" Killua asks
"Yes."
"Then, I'll give it a shot." Killua says "go right ahead." Netero gives a closed eye response. Killua started moving to Gon and Y/N right side and continued walking half sideways
He thinks I'm weak

Damn, Killua simps would be going nuts right now. You laughed internally
"I see a bunch of Killuas!" Gon gasped. And the Killuas just kept moving around making sure the old man couldn't tell which one was actually him even thought the man could predict

The Rythm Echo. It confuses the enemy with afterimages created by a varying cadence of steps. Netero explains in his head
Killua afterimages kept on moving and went to different directions yet still in the same place
To think he's already mastered the technique at his age. What a dreadful child. Netero thinks still keeping a eye on any sudden off movements from Killua who at this point the entire room was filed with his figures
Suddenly the Killuas became one Killua and charged to Netero sideways on his left trying to grab the ball on his pointer finger.
Killua switched angles with his left foot towards Netero after missing the ball. Over and over again Killua tried reaching the ball but failed
It just looked like Netero was messing with Killua due to their random acts to get the ball or to prevent from someone getting the ball
"Oh wow" Gon faces brighten
He sure moves around a lot. How old is this guy? Killua lands from his previous attempt
"Is that all? How disappointing" Netero says and tosses the ball from his finger to the middle of his head like a dolphin balancing a ball
Killua gave a annoyed grunt. In that case, I'll just have to slow him down! Killua took a step forward and launched himself underway sideways. When he was close enough to Netero he quickly planted his right foot to the ground by the front not the heel along with his right hand helping him keep his balance while his left foot made a harsh contact to Netero right pivot leg
"Ow! His pivot leg!" Gon reacted by closing his right eye at the action that happen before him and Y/N. You just gave a dry chuckle about what was going to happen next
Killua gave a smirk and arrogant chuckle at his kick.

"You guys aren't getting anywhere, huh?" Netero teases "why don't the three of you try attacking me at once?" Netero suggests
Killua stopped groaning in pain and looked at the old man ticked off
"why, you-!" Killua growls angrily launching himself to Netero
"Okay we gotcha now!" Gon also pushed himself toward Netero

"YEET" you also took off from the ground and launched yourself toward the ball with your friends

If we're gonna beat him, we've got to get creative. Gon let's go of his ears and moves in
"Gotta say, you attacks don't amount to much." Netero snarks
Gon brought his foot to Netero face but he dodged Gon kick

Netero was in surprised state he didn't even see you two until it happen
"Now's our chance!" Killua cheered and reached for the ball
Just as you were about to reach the way to the ball for it as well. "OOF" Netero knocked you off him and flipped backwards using his right foot to knock the ball further from Killua who now had a surprise gasp
Netero flipped back facing the way of the ball and lunched himself to it only for Gon to use his other boot knocking it away from Netero
"Oh Sneaky kids!" Netero states
Killua and Gon stepped ahead of Netero and reached to the ball almost within their grasp. Oh and you? Yeah you gave up and decide to sit on the floor waiting for it to come to an end
"I've almost got it!" Gon and Killua say in sync smiling reaching to the ball
"Hmm" a grunt noise came from Netero a sudden yet quick red aura surrounded him and he pushed off the ground towards the ball hard damaging the floor in the progress and zoomed pass Gon and Killua and grabbed the ball with his left hand again
Gon fell to his butt on the ground with a groan and Killua was the same although he looked rather pissed. You were siting at the center of these two smiling being nonchalant
Killua grunts officially pissed off and Gon gasp in amusement and Netero movement "Excellent teamwork! You get an "A" for effort" Netero supports now again balancing the ball on his pointer finger. "Your amazing, Mr.Netero! Really amazing!" Gon exclaims smiling brightly Netero closed his eyes and only took in Gon comment
The footprint of Netero-Sama were he pushed off wasn't only just damaged but now steaming.
Killua sighs defeatedly and in a annoyment and stands up "Ah, forget it."
"I quit. Ya beat me, all right?" Killua admit although something told you that wasn't something he wanted to say. He went over to grab his 2nd shirt
Gon turned his head sharply at Killua words and you got up as well. "Huh?" Gon says confused

"Figured it out, did you?"
"And here I thought I was being pretty slick about it." Netero says. "Oh! I get it now!" Gon realized

"You sure know how to piss me off old man!" Killua laughed sarcastically "let's go, Gon, Y/N" he began to walk away
"Nah, I think I'm gonna play a little longer." Gon points. "HUH?" Killua called out now back on screen

"That was...a technique used by those engaged in illegal activities." "You have no need at all to learn it." "As a matter of fact, you should never try to learn it." Netero replies "But, it's pretty impressive, huh?" Gon stands to his words anyways
"Hmm. It requires an incredible amount of training to master it" Netero says and plays with the ball "oh man, Killua really is something isn't he?" Gon admires his soon to be best friend

With Killua and now you
Killua walked down the hall near the windows of the airship
He took of his shirts to cool off from the sweat from earlier
He was still angry but concealed hi rage keeping his eyes closed. damn it, now I'm in a bad mood. Killua thinks but suddenly was purposely bumped into by another applicant follow to their side another applicant
Well, it is what it is.. Killua accepted it as a shadow grew on his face
"Hey, kid! Wait up!" Applicant No.390 shouted as he passed Killua trying to purposely pick a fight with him
"Yeah, where are you manners?" Applicant No.391 joined in
Killua ignored them and kept on walking as if he's giving them a chance to walk away

They both ran up to Killua one of them put his hand on him which then Killua stopped in his tracks
If I hadn't stopped when I did I probably would've ended up killing the old man to get the ball. Killua thought now smirking sinisterly leaving the bodies dead rotting behind him
"You know you said he was too powerful for us to handle so what makes you think you could possibly kill him?" You asked startling Killua
"Y-Y/N?" He inhaled sharply now growing anxious as he turned facing you
standing there like nothing bother you even the sight that laid ahead of you

The sound of water rushing out the faucet was the only thing cutting the nervous tension in the air

"Well thinking back a second ago since I didn't no." You say and grab a paper towel cleaning his hand but he grunted and pulled away leaving you with a huh
"Your joking right?" He looked up and grasped your hand that was holding the paper towel which was now falling to the ground
"I bet you saw the whole thing too! I just killed someone IN FRONT OF YOU!" Killua yelled his eyes widen. He was breathing hard and spoke as if that was something he didn't want you to see
You smiled softly and grabbed his hand he gasped quietly. "I told you I've seen worse"
I have been in the Hunter Hunter world for a while now and under the house I was in I had to learn how to fight
Sure I never killed anyone but that doesn't mean I haven't tagged along on my parents missions or never saw anything terrible
You thought closeing your eyes only to open them now meeting Killua dark sapphire eyes.
"Why do you care so much?" You ask titling your head. Except you didn't realize that you were shaking. The left over bloody memories remained in your thoughts. Yet your left hand still gripping Killua hand which he loosen his grip on your right wrist.

You found it still at the same place and checked the pockets now feeling something

You pull out two cards that were sealed in a plastic bag with a notes in both bags

You stared at the cards and smirked

You immediately rushed out the bathroom and tied your jacket around your waist putting the cards in your pocket again and head to the room where you three played against Netero
You can to the door and opened it
Only to see a green spiky hair boy sleeping on the floor near the wall with his jacket on him like a blanket
You smiled at the boy and walked near him leaning your back against the wall and fell asleep rather quickly.
All while this happen,
Gon who was next to your sleeping body, subconsciously his hand met up with yours and you both held hands still fast asleep
