"Wow Y/N, you really think you can do it?" My best friend, Lindy, questions as I nod. "Oh, you bet." I say making her chuckle. "Babes, you know I love you, but Martin can't be changed. You can't just love someone and expect change." She says making me roll my eyes. "Why do you say that?" I question making her sigh. "Y/N, he is a man slut. All he does is sleep with women and he's not gonna stop being a man slut. Don't waste your time on someone that won't change for you." She says as I smile at her, "Watch me."

I bounce my leg nervously as I'm seated at the bar. "Why are you do nervous, love?" The bartender questions as he hands me my drink that I ordered. "I'm trying to approach a guy." I say as he shimmy's his shoulder, "I stan. Don't be nervous, doll. You're so pretty, I'm sure he'll be begging for you to approach him." He says making me giggle. "Thank you." I say as he gives me a wide smile and walks off to another customer.
I look over my shoulder to see Martin talking with a few of his mates. I sigh and sip on my alcoholic beverage and eventually down it. You think imma do this shit sober? You thought. I stand up once placing the glass back down on the counter and make my way towards Martin. "Hey. Wanna dance?" I ask with confidence that came from nowhere. He looks at me up and down, "Wow, Y/N, didn't think you'd ever want to dance with me." He says making me blush.
"Well, surprise, I do." I say as his friends chuckle and nudge him. He stands up and takes my hand, leading me to the dance floor. "So what made you wanna dance with me?" He questions, a massive smirk on his lips proved that his ego was defeated being boosted by this dance. "I like you." I blurt out, not thinking twice about how he may react. He stops dancing with e as he stares at me with frowned eyes.
"Really?" He questions as I shrug. "Well umm... I gotta go. See you around." I say as I turn on my heels and basically sprint out of that club, ignoring his calls. As I step outside, the bouncer looks at me with concern and sees Martin run after me. "Sorry mate, step away from her." The bouncer says to Martin as he sighs. I smile at the bouncer as I walk away, "God damn Y/N, I like you too!" He screams after me but I ignore him, knowing he is just saying that to get me in bed with him. Why did I ever thing I could change him?

I sit playing FIFA on my couch until the doorbell snaps me out of my intense concentration. "In a minute!" I cream, assuming it's probably one of my friends who knew to never interrupt me when playing video games, especially FIFA. The person knocks again making me groan. I pause the game ad stand up, stomping towards the door. "You know very well to not dis-" I stop talking as I notice Martin standing there with flowers in his hands.
"Oh sorry I thought you were Lindy or something." I say feeling my cheeks heat up. "It's alright. You look stunning." He says making me shake my head, "If you think sweats and spaghetti strapped top is stunning, then sure." I say making him chuckle. "I got these for you. Can I come inside? We need to talk." He says as I smile at him. "Thank you and um sure." I say, growing nervous.
He walks inside as we take a seat on the couch. "Why did you run away from me the other night?" He questions making my cheeks heat up. "I thought you didn't like me." I say making him scoff, "But I told you I did." "Yeah but you could've been lying. I know who you sleep with women, what makes me any different?" I question as he frowns at me. "You're you, Y/N. God, I've had such a thing for you since we met each other a year ago." He says making my cheeks heat up.
"Really?" I question as he chuckles and nods, "I hope this proves it." He says as he leans forward and places his lips on mine. The kiss is sweet and passionate, making butterflies fly in my belly. I pull away as we smile at each other, "Please go on a date with me tonight?" He questions as I nod, "I'd love too." I say as he smiles at me again and we share another kiss.

"And that, B, is how I changed him." I say to Lindy as she shakes her head as we are watching TV. "You really did the unthinkable." She says making me chuckle. "Suck in it." I say making her roll her eyes at me and give me the middle finger. "So a year now, ey?" She questions as I nod. "I was waiting for him to cheat but he is really loyal, huh." She says as I nod and place my hand on my belly.
"Especially loyal to this one." I say making her eyes go wide. "Oh my god... my best friend is PREGNANT!" She exclaims making me chuckle. She attacks me on the bed, hugging me as if I'm never gonna see her again. "And now, your official title is "Aunty Lindy". Oh and btw you're gonna be the godmother." I say making her eyes bulge out of her head. "And I doubted the man who was gonna give me my first god child? I love him Y/N." she says making me laugh at my overly excited best friend.
