at around 2am in the morning, jaemin got up, grabbed his phone and rushed downstairs. he dialed a number and got surprised when the other line picked up almost immediately.
"what's up, jaem hyung?" sungchan said, yawning.
"i'm in love."
"hOOooOo" sungchan sung and cleared his throat. "sorry, my atiny ass had to"
"anyway," jaemin sighed, "both of my crushes literally just confessed in front of me cause they thought i was asleep. i don't know what to do with this information—" he paused as he heard footsteps on the other line.
"where the heck are you?"
"out," the boy said, "shosho wanted gummies"
jaemin got a bit confused. "excuse me, who?"
"my roommate,"
"you guys are on the nickname stage now? nice." he smiled, "i'll be your best man at the wedding, aight?"
"okay,"
"wait what the fuck i was joking—"
"continue with your story," sungchan interrupted, his footsteps getting a little faster.
"i already finished telling it though?"
"oh— SHO OPEN UP"
jaemin covered his ears "do you have to be that loud?"
"IT'S OPEN!" the boy inside said in japanese, "don't shout, the neighbors will get mad,"
"i forgot y'all were in japan."
sungchan sighed. "perks of being smart enough that you actually get to go to japan for a scholarship,"
jaemin gasped, with a hint of being jokingly offended. "was that supposed to be an insult?"
"here's your gummies," the boy on the other line said in japanese, smacking the pack onto a table. "hyung, was it?"
"oh my—" jaemin scoffed. "you are of no use. i'm gonna just hang up no—"
jaemin hears the sound getting cut on the other line. "that fucker, he hung up on me!"
meanwhile, in japan, sungchan was just laughing his ass off.
shotaro raised an eyebrow while trying to open the pack of gummies. "who— who was that?"
"my cousin." the boy simply replied, while looking at the smaller guy beside him trying to open the sweets. "do you need... help?"
"please," shotaro exclaimed. "that's way too hard to open."
