Roughly two days had passed since that loss of game 1. My teammates are looking forward for our next game and having the home court this time gives everybody at least a bit of comfort.
Me on the other hand just happy they were feeling better. Sa totoo lang hindi na ako naghahangad ng kung ano pa. I am doing my best to contribute to the team, but if we lost, we lost. No more reasons.
Thats why seeing my team back on track and collected themselves again just gave me some relief.
In four day time we will be facing Fontana again for game number 2. But prior to that, I have been constantly reminded that there will be an even larger event than our game. Of course men's basketball is rather the most anticipated game in MCSL. And one player keeps on bugging me to come over to 25'th and watch his game even though I turned it down multiple times.
I just dont know what to do with Jared anymore.
Oh, come to think of it. Ngayong gabi pala ang laro nila. I already said my reminders and best of luck, although they werent actually relying on luck. Bahala na siya.
We are currently on our second subject today and its the all time favorite calculus and statistics. And I've been hearing countless curses and swearing from my seatmates here who almost wanted to tore their papers in front of them. Kasalukuyan kaming may quiz ngayon at hindi na natapos tapos ang bulungan dito sa paligid ko. Tiana and Bridgette was one of frustrated students swearing at the back because of the test.
Jamie always seats beside me while those two seats behind us. They are with Maxiel and other girls from our class.
Hindi ako matalino kaya nga hanggat maaari ay nag b-browse agad ako ng mga notes ko. So it wouldnt be hard when exams like this happens.
The questions here are just normal, kung nag review ka. But if you didnt, then you know what to expect. As for me, like I said hindi ako matalino pero nasagutan ko naman lahat ng tanong. Ang problema nga lang ay hindi ko kayang garantyahan kung tama ba ang mga sagot ko. Ito ang lumabas sa computation ko, I got no other choice but to trust what I have in mind.
The quiz is good for only one hour and a half. I finished mine with only 17 minutes remaining, while Jamie finished way ahead. Ang totoo kanina ko pa napansin na tapos na siya. She is just sitting comfortably on her seat and waiting for the allotted time to expire.
I secretly smiled when a thought just occur to me.
Jamie is actually brilliant. This shows off obviously even when she plays basketball. She's sharp and has good reflexes. Mabilis magdesisyon at may tiwala sa sarili niya. That's why if you will ask me among my teammates, I would say Jamie has all the qualities to take over the position of being the team captain.
We needed someone who is calm and uses her mind well rather than her emotions. Someone whose principles arent easily broken. Someone who will brought the team together and lead them by discipline and sportsmanship.
Jamie defines all of that. Its very rare to find someone as good as her. Halos wala akong masabi. My teammates always says I'm the most quiet person on the team. They may be right though dahil hindi naman talaga ako palasalita. But when I think about Jamie, siguro kung wala ako, si Jamie ang pinakatahimik sa team. Its just my opinion though. She is also the most rational and serves as the team's moral compass. I think growing up with a lawyer dad gets you disciplined and well behaved.
Napakurap ako nang nag chime at nagmamadaling magsitayuan ang lahat. Napasandal ako at inantay na lang silang makapagpasa lahat. I gazed at the window and watch students down below. Who would have thought I will find home in this kind of setting ?
I only got to greet my fellow patients at the asylum before, but now I am face to face with these people and I even interact with them.

I was shocked but nodded quickly at the professor. What an embarrassing moment to get caught daydreaming by your math professor.

I'm actually disappointed at myself. But still made the phone call. He didnt answer and thats a relief. Binitawan ko ang phone ko at pumikit na lang. Pero ilang minuto lang ay nag ring ulit yung phone ko. I picked it up and sat again.

He was about to ignore it pero ako na mismo ang umiwas. Tumingin ako sa oras at hindi makapaniwalang tumingin sa kanya.

Tumayo agad ako at hinila din siya patayo pero hindi siya nagpatinag.
Tignan mo naman talaga ang lalaking ito. Its already 8 and yet he's here like he got no game to catch.

I dont know why my throat is getting dry. I grab some frozen blueberries too and snack on it. Then he came there too but I just shook my head and brought him back. I catched a glimpse of whats on the tv and both teams are already on warm ups. He's supposed to be there.

I wouldnt be surprised anymore if the crowd is already hyped up even with just few minutes of the first quarter. Pag Lanercost talaga ang naglalaro, ganito palagi ang eksena. Loud cheers on every points they make.
9-7 ang score at possession na ng DSU. Si Rob pala ang naka score kanina. I was familiar with the guy because he's the one with Jared during the music fest. For the Lanercost team its Rob, Preston and three of their seniors ang kasalukuyang naglalaro.
Sa DSU naman its Anthony, Echo, at tatlo din sa mga seniors na sina kuya Jayze, Carlo and Xavier.
Half of the first quarter when Jared was seen through the cameras, entering the court along with one of the assistant coaches. Biglang naghiyawan ang mga tao sa loob ng arena. Kita mo nga naman. Definitely a superstar. He got a lot of haters but earned huge fandom too. Specially with the ladies.

Puring puri talaga si Jared sa kahit sinong host ng MCSL. Almost everyone seems happy when he finally showed up and enters the court. I have to admit this, he's super handsome and sexy over there.
He was all welcome here. Kung sabagay, homecourt nga pala nila. He's on the screen for few moments before they put it back on the game. Score is 13-10.
Lanercost is playing well like they always did. But Anthony is doing great too. I'm glad. I am constantly reminding him that as a contender, when facing the champions, chances are we're gonna deal with a lot of defeats. Most likely on the case of both DSU basketball teams. We got Fontana while they have Lanercost. Kami talaga ang dehado. But I have this feeling that Anthony and his team will at least make a win. Though its not even on a fifty percent chance because I know Jared wouldnt let that happen, who knows maybe one time, the tables will turn. I just wanted to give credits to Anthony. Unlike me, who can never help my team win against Fontana.
This hurts my feelings. Saan ba talaga ako dapat lumugar ? I play for DSU red dragons. I represent my school and I am absolutely certain I am a loyalist.
But not until Jared enters the picture. Of course what I said to him was true. I am his biggest supporter. His fan since day one. I want the best for him and that includes his achievements and memorable moments. But how am I supposed to be comfortable with that if I want my school to win too. I mean, what kind of nonsense is that ? I want Jared to win but I want DSU to be champions too.

DSU made two points and the score is 16-12 when the first quarter ended.
When second quarter starts, thats where Jared finally enters the court. With two other bench starters including Alvior and jersey number 09.
He's catching all the eyes of everyone around him. But Jared is effortlessly handsome. He is literally just entering the court like the rest of his team and yet those straight face and calm demeanor can stole the heart of every lady that was watching.

I shook my head out of disappointment. Hindi naman ako nanuod ng game para makita lang si Jared.
I just rested my back and watch the game seriously. Second quarter kicks off with DSU down with four points. This is yet again another Jared x Anthony clash. Halos 3 minutes lang umupo si Anthony nung first quarter then the whole time he was on the floor, scoring for DSU.
Currently he's at 5 points, and is now guarding Jared.
Lanercost is already getting some work done now that their star player is there. Just some quick ball movement before it landed to Jared's hands. Then he made few dribbles before he finally joins the score board.
" Jared, establishing his presence on the court, takes a step back AAAND, thats an easy two points like usual "
" and just like that, Jared has already made his debut for tonights game at two points already with just few seconds of the second quarter. Sabi siguro ni Jared, ' ah, scoreless pa ko, oh eto ' HAHAHAHAHA "
" HAHAHA sabi ko naman sayo coach Kent, laging mainit yang kamay niyan ni Jared. Anytime, anywhere, kahit saang court pa yan, parang sukat na sukat e. His accuracy at the three point line, perimeter shooting and even free throws. It didnt drops down to 80 percent. In short talagang maganda ang nilalaro ni Jared every game. "
It is indeed an early points for Jared. Ang totoo wala talaga akong masabi sa laro ni Jared. Magaling kung magaling. Like I said before, kung nayayabangan ang iba sa kanya, well thats because may ipagyayabang naman talaga. He's absolutely a legit scorer.
Harap harapan siyang tumira kanina habang bantay niya si Anthony. Walang kahirap-hirap. He simply made a step back and lifts the ball then it turned into score.
Hindi ko tuloy alam ang magiging reaksyon ko. Medyo hirap na ang DSU kanina nung wala pa si Jared. Ngayong nandyan na siya mas lumayo na ang lamang.
The ball moves freely at the Lanercost despite the defensive style that the DSU is putting on. May lusot pa rin talaga. Another teammate of Jared keeps making great passes and knows how to locate his members. Galvez ang apelyido.
Meanwhile nakaka score pa rin sina Anthony pero mas mabilis nababawi ng kalaban. Napapadalas ang pagtira ni Jared. And with just 5 minutes of the second quarter, Jared has already scored 8 points.

Sa kabila naman, Espinoza will inbound .... si Anthony ang tatangap. 5.3 remaining on the shot clock, WILL THEY HAVE AN ANSWER ... YES SIR !!! ANTHONY TRAVIS FOR THE BOARD "
At last, nakahanap din ng tyempo. Roman and Echo pushes Jared away from the ring so Anthony can get inside and finish a lay up with that one.

Well thats proven. If you're playing against Lanercost you wouldnt want to be down with double digits dahil mag dedere-deretsyo na ang Lanercost sa oras na makuha nila ang rhythm nila.

The camera captures everyones reaction, including hers.

I switched my phone off and goes to sleep. I'm of no good. These drugs I've been taking for quite some time now is already warning me of its adverse effects. It can be sooner or maybe later before it will take its toll on my health.
Regardless of my condition, I think it will be too hard to back down now. I already got investments. And those are the people that I met. The friendship and the connection that didnt have before. The sense of being alive and finding yourself was established inside me. Now its hard to let it all go.
All I know is that I want to continue. But if chances wouldnt let me do so, then its time to face the end.
Two hours before my first class gumising na ako para mag prepare ng gamit ko. As I was eating breakfast I noticed my phone has already have few notifs. Ang aga naman nito. When I checked them, its from Jared as usual.

Mag enjoy na lang siya sa panalo nila. I already said what I needed to say to him before the game starts. Wala akong pinanigan. My whole point to that is I am fine with whatever happens. Manalo man ang Lanercost at matalo ang DSU thats undeniably a strong fact anyway. But if DSU wins and Lanercost lost the game, then congratulations to my fellas.
Thats what this is all about.
And honestly, I dont think Jared needs to hear it everyday. Unlimited praises and compliments for their team, a huge fandom and a pretty cheerleader watching his game live at the arena. He got all these support,

Tumayo na ako at nag ayos na. Coach Donny sent a message to us all that we're gonna have to render a four hour training today so ikundisyon daw namin ang sarili namin.
I attended three of my four classes today. The last subject granted us the permission to skip it today. May memo naman galing admin office at athletic department para patunayan na nagsasabi kami ng totoo.
The training will start at 6 so by 5:30 we were already running at the track for warm ups.
Thats just how it goes I guess. Although both DSU basketball teams lost the first games, as long as we still had the fight on us, every game is worth it.
