Rhea's pov
I ran to the door to see if they are here but I don't see anyone, I rushed back to Vikram, he stopped me grabbing my shoulders," what happened?"
"Di and jiju are coming, they are in the lift," his face resembled mine," what will they think? You can't even go now, you need to hide, come on," I dragged Vikram by his hand.
"Wait a minute, where did you park you car?"I stopped in my track.
"I took the back gate, it was nearer to the lift with me holding two pizza boxes," he whispered.
"Okay," I rushed to the spare bedroom," no they might stay the night if the rain won't stop," I walked back to the hall and then into my room.
Come on Rhea think of a plan or else you are finished!
Both the plan and the door bell came at the same time, I turned to Vikram," you have to go into the bathroom."
"What?!" He shrieked.
"Shhhh..," I placed my hand on his mouth motioning him to keep quiet," please,please,please!!, I will do anything just for once stop asking questions," I pleaded.
"Anything?" He asked again, I tried to find any traces of humour but his face was all serious," anything," I finished.
He nodded and went inside the bathroom," here take this," I handed him a stool atleast he can have a good seat," and put you phone in silent mode," I shut the door and locked it from outside.
My phone rang again, it was Di, she was buzzing the door bell not stop," hang on!" I shouted from inside.
I tried to find a reason, I splashed some water on my face, dabbing it with the towel and rushed to open the door.
"Sorry, I was wearing a mask, I had to clean it up," I explained.
Both of them are almost drenched from head to toe, they came inside," let me get some towels," I walked to my room to take out the spare towels and handed it to them.
"Are you coming from office?" I asked them.
Di nodded drying her hair with the towel," I had a meeting so we started a little late and then this rain, we couldn't move further."
"Ughh," she threw the towel away, I was silently watching her to maker her next move," I need to change before I catch some cold," and she walked away to my bedroom.
Ground started crumbling under my feet, I rushed behind her to stop before any explosion happens, as I entered she was about to open the bathroom door.
I jumped in front of her pushed her back," no, don't go in there," I took a long breath.
"Why? What's wrong?" She asked folding her hands.
I am going to be dead some day creating all these imaginary stories, now come up with something you idiot, I scolded myself.
"Uhh.. you know, the tap?" I waited to think of something,"no...not the tap, the water...the water clogged in the bathroom and it is filled with water from the morning, I saw it when I was bathing today and now there is soap everywhere in the water," my face turned into a disgusting one just imagining such thing.
Hopefully, she stepped back," then I will take the one that's outside,"I sighed as she walked out.
This is going to be a long night
Jiju might want to change, I took out some of my dad's old clothes and came outside. I heard him talking to his mother explaining the situation.
"Is Yash alright?" I asked him as he cut the call, he smiled," he is doing good."
I handed him the clothes," oh thanks Rhea," he took them looking sceptically at the pizza boxes.
"Oh, I was hungry and I thought I could finish two entire pizzas," I fake chuckled," would you like to eat?, I can heat them up," I asked him.
"Sure, I can use some food," he smiled, " I should probably check on Vikram, I don't know where he is stuck in."
My eyes widened, I hope Vikram put his phone in silent mode, I took my phone and the pizza and rushed to the kitchen.
'YOUR BROTHER IS ABOUT TO CALL YOU!!'
I sent the text to Vikram and prayed to God that my message went faster than jiju's phone call.
I put the remaining pizza into the oven,as I was waiting for the pizza Preeti's message popped on my screen.

How in the hell does she know about this?!
I sent the text 'how' to her. I had enough on my plate for one day and now even Preeti? God save me! She replied immediately.
'lover boy spilled everything'

'what do you expect him to do sitting in your bathroom!? I am just keeping his company'
I can totally see her shrugging and rolling her eyes at me. The oven chimed and I took the pizza out.
Di was outside and even jiju was changed, they were just talking and jiju was glancing at his phone," did he lift the call?" I slowly asked.
"Nope, just sent a text saying he is fine and doing something important and that he will call later," I internally sighed putting the plate in front of them.
They instantly dug into the hot cheesy pizza we were supposed to be eating," did you eat?" Di asked stuffing her mouth with pizza.
I smiled and gave her a nod, poor Vikram must be hungry inside the bathroom. I walked to the fridge to take out a water bottle, my phone dinged.
"It's Preeti," Di shouted and my eyes widened, oh snap, I briskly walked outside to find Di holding my phone," you should change your shampoo?" She turned to me as she read the notification.
I grabbed the phone from her hands before she can open it," it's... it's nothing, just her usual banter," I glanced outside the window," I don't think it's going to stop, you guys should stay the night," and I need to get Vikram out as soon as possible.
"I will clean the room for you," I rushed to the spare bedroom before cleaning the clothes and stuff from there.
Di and jiju were watching the movie which I was previously watching with Vikram and they are no where close to going to sleep, but thankfully the movie ended soon.
"I need to make some calls to the office and I think you should take some rest too," I tried to resonate, they nodded and headed to the spare room.
Pheww
I rushed to my room and locked the door behind before opening the bathroom door, Vikram was sitting on the stool with his legs up on my sink, I think he made himself comfortable at the bathroom.
"Here I am trying to manage the situation and you are happily chatting with my best friend about my shampoo?!," I whisper yelled at him.
He stood up stretching his arms, I paused for a moment as his shirt rose up showing some of his abs, I jerked back as he cleared his throat, he had a smirk plastered on his face and all I can do is bang my head to the wall instead my body responded by blushing.
Damn you body, can you for once agree with my mind.
"Did they leave?" He tried to distract me but this time I am not moving or acting without any answer, I stood there folding my hands with a blank expression.
He huffed, "okay fine, I have been in here for more than an hour, the only sort of entertainment I received is talking about your bathroom and the only person I could do that is with your best friend," he explained.
Okay, I started to feel bad, he was here to spend time with me instead he was stuck with my bathroom, I scratched my head processing how to apologize, he walked outside taking a seat on my bed.
"Um... I have some bad news," I decided to apologize for everything later, he gestured me to continue," they are staying the night here."
His face turned from shock to grief, he slumped his shoulders, " should I have to go into the bathroom again?," he asked me with his puppy dog eyes.
I chuckled," they went to sleep now, we can wait for a little for the rain to slow down and then you can go home."
"We didn't even get to finish the movie," he was sad but masked it with a smile," but I enjoyed how to make up stories when you are panicked," he grinned.
"You are lucky she didn't end up opening the door, that would have been embarrassing as shit," I told as I imagined the possibilities of what would have happened if they found out.
"What's going on your head?" He asked, I shook my head in a no and smiled a little, "not everyone is gifted like me to create such stories," I swept my hear for a dramatic effect and we both burst into laughter.
"I better go," he stood up abruptly, I nodded and went to check if the coast was clear. Gladly no one was out and we sneaked outside.
I locked the door behind and turned to say goodbye to Vikram, " you know, I am sorry for making you go through such trouble, I had no other way," I apologized.
He shook his head, "it's fine and I am benefited by that trouble," he grinned, I didn't understand what he meant, " you said you will do anything, are you sticking to your promise?"
Oh that
"When I promise something, I never ever break that promise," I paused giving him a firm look," ever!" I finished.
God I wanted to do that for a long time, he looked like I was crazy, " I heard that somewhere," he mumbled making me giggle.
"It's from that movie tangled, remember I made you watch on that night," I still remember him whining how much of a baby I was but he watched anyway.
"Yeah, I am taking full use of that promise," he smirked and waved me goodbye.
