The seven heroes are have travel for several months now to the front lines of the battles between the people and the monsters. They have already slain a general that was disguised as a high judge courting hearings for high ranking soldiers and such and allowing corruption to grow. They were given a tip about the high judge by a wanderer they were sent to capture by said judge and were even gifted a powerful weapon by him after he made them question the high judge. He then vanished from right in front of them and they started to invest age the High judge and eventually discovered he was a monster and slain him and saved the city from its wraith.
They now journeyed to the front lines to aide in slaying another general said to be leading a successful battle slowly over taking many units almost flawlessly. They reach the fort said to house a unit from the federation and lead by General Hernaluo the wife to the current grand Marshall and Hanlio's aunt. She sent them a letter to ask for aide and that she has a prisoner claiming to know the group of heroes. When they enter the fort they see many injured and depressed soldiers hanging around as all their medics and healers rushing around and seeming tired. They are then escorted to the Generals quarters and meet the general as she stands with an eye patch and looks at the heroes.
Hanlio looks at her aunt and sees the wounds all over her face and rushes to her and starts to cast healing meiotic on her but is told it will be of no use on her since it happened a month ago. Hanlio looks at her aunt and apologizes to her for not knowing but is told its not her fault as she starts to get back to business. She then says that she hears story about them from bards and letters sent about their deeds and noble quest from the gods. She then looks at the guards in the room and asks them to leave as they do cautiously, after they left she looks at the heroes and bows her head and asks for their help in this upcoming battle.
Hanlio looks at her aunt and makes a surprised face knowing that when a Walker bows it head they are putting their pride aside for the good of others. Arti looks at her and walks up to the general and puts his hands on her soldiers and makes her raise her head and looks into her eyes and say they will do what they can. She turns her head away trying to hold in her tears at his resolute tone and says thank you. The Royford mentions in her letter that they have a prisoner claiming to know them and make the suggestion of requesting them. The General shakes her head and affirms they do and then calls in a person to lead them to the cells to show them the prisoner.
When they arrive at the cells they are greeted by a tired and annoyed guard who is holding his entire face and seems to be questioning his choices in life. When he notices the group sighs and says the prisoner in in the last cell and then leads the way for the group now. When they arrive at the cell they see a familiar looking being batting a sandwich reading a book on the bed, seeing this the guard enrages at the sight of the beings actions.
Guard ( HOW DID YOU GET A BOOK IN THEIR, WAIT A MINUTE WHAT ARE YOU EATING IS THAT MY LUNCH JUST HOW DID YOU GET IT. UGGGGHHHH HOW ARE YOU DOING THESE THINGS I TAKE ONE BOOK AWAY YOU JUST HAVE ANOTHER. IF IT WASN'T FOR THE GENERALS ORDERS I WOULD HAVE HANGED YOU RIGHT AWAY. UGH ANYWAY YOU HAVE VISITORS.)
The figure turns away from the book and shallows his food and then cracks into a big smile and then speaks,
Zola ( Why hello their friends it has been a while huh it seems you got the letter I ask to be sent to you guys. Heard you guys killed the general hiding in the city of justice and even slain several monster hordes near the north huh. Anyway this place has good sandwiches and grub so how have you all been is the shield working well?)
Flina ( YOU! WHERE DID YOU GO AFTER WE MEET IN THE CITY OF JUSTICE? HOW DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THE HIGH JUDGE?!!)
Hanlio ( WHERE DID YOU GET THE SHEILD ROY WEILDS AND HOW DID YOU KNOW WE WOULD BE ABLE TO SLAY THE MONSTER GENERAL.)
Royford ( WHAT IS THIS SHEILD MADE OF IT DOESN'T EVE SCRATCH AND WHY DOES IT LOOK LIKE TE SYMBOL OF THE GREAT GOD!)
Arti ( Woah their every one back down its not like he can go any where right now he is in a cell so we have some time until the next battle to get answers.)
As he says that to the group the cell door opens as Zola walks out of it and then grabs a new book from the guards station. He returns to his cell and closes the door behind him as he opens the book and starts to read it in a chair now making tea next to him. The group of heroes look at him and to the guard who is once again holding his face in anger and they try to understand what is going on. Eventually they manages to get some info out of him as it seems he is just playing a complicated game of words with them and they all look exhausted with his shit.
Zola then looks serious and looks around the the room and tells the heroes to get ready for combat as he is now holding his hammer ax. The as they look at him confused they listen and then hear an alarm from out side as they try to get to the top. Then Zola teleports the heroes outside he tells them to get ready as they now rushes up the side of the wall as they see hordes of monsters rushing the fort hearing war cries. Arti finds the general on the wall and asks where they should go and how to help, she tells them to do as they please as long as it doesn't conflict with her soldiers.
Zola jumps over the wall holding his weapon and then slams it into the ground causing the ground to shake making the monsters lost their footing. He then cast large scale magic and shoots out a large wave of magic across the field and the monsters seem to be frozen in place and he dashes cutting and smashing every monster he can then after a minute the magic where's off they fall dead to the ground. The heroes sees this action and all agree and jump to the ground following the wanderer in his onslaught to keep the monsters away from the fort. Arti yells to the closest solider to regroup while they hold off the horde for now, he understands and makes way to his super and the message spreads.
Zola and the heroes fight on the field managing to hold some what of a line between the monsters and the fort. Royford swings he's sheild across the battle field throwing monsters into the air as Walsia shots them in the hearts and head. Thereus uses his music to put some in a trance as Flina dances to the tune with her spear cutting deep into the necks of the monsters. Arti and Hanlio the work in sync slaying any monster approaching them as they guard Dinaya who starts to cast many large scale magics across the field causing many explosions across the monsters side. Zola is then by himself as he slashes and smashes every monster that tries to come near his side of the field.
As they hold the line the soldiers manage to reorganize and start a large volley of arrows from the wall and having warriors and spearmen help build up the line more with the heroes. The casters then follow the same methods as Dinaya and shot many blast at the body of the monsters army. Then many guardians follow Royford's lead as they slowly push the monsters back and are advancing the line and gaining territory. Zola looks at the sight and sees that Arti and Hanlios weapons are worn and seem to be on their last legs. He makes his way to them and then throws to things at them yelling catch. When they look at the weapons the caught their eyes both go wide now holding legendary weapons of their people.
Hanlio holds the gauntlets of Waxer in her hands knowing only those worthy of them can even pick them up and looks at Zola. Arti holds Crashing snow the legendary hammer to the founder of Messiah of his people Glacera. He thought this weapon was lost in the sea after a civil war over it but now he wields it and is to freezing at all understanding he is worthy to wield it. He too looks at Zola with disbelief tries to question him but Zola tells them to pay attention to the battle at hand. They return to their senses and then decide to wait until the battle is over and they start to attack with the weapons. They then feel entirely different as they make mince meat of any monster who they attack seeing them freeze and shatter in a moment and punching hole through them with out resistants.
The battle goes on and the unit starts to push the monsters further and further back as it seems all is going well a large being crashes from the sky right in front of Flina and Thereus. it stands on two legs and has a head of a dragon with bull horns and mouth of a snapping turtle. Its height is a bit taller than Royford and wields a giant buster sword and has the body of Arnold inches prime. It's yellow eyes then looks around and then opens it mouth to speak,
Ula ( I..General Ula..will slay all..life not monster..in the name..of king..now die in vain..worthless ones.)
He then roars and charges at the closest soldiers swinging his sword, they try to block the attack but are cut in half as if cutting through butter. Flina mange to duck out of the way as Thereus retreats a bit to kept distance knowing he is not match. Royford sees the general and his attack and take a deep breath as he starts to circulate his mana through him. Then steam start to arise from his body and his hair seems to be alive like fire, he then grows to a larger size to rival the general and haas eyes become like that of molten lava and then roars at the top of his lungs. His war cry shakes the very ground and the General turns to see he fiery giant glaring at him and then both a the drop of a pin charge at each other. When the sword clashes with shield massive shock waves go across the field causing soldiers and monsters to go flying all over. They two then move in rapid succession as sword and shield cause more waves and sparks at the heat around the two rises.
Royford ( BY THE GOD OF EARTH AND FORE I ASK YOU TO EMPOWER ME IN THIS BATTLE AND I WILL OFFER MY FIRST CHILD AS YOUR ORACLE. )
As he finishes he vow he then is hit by a powerful light and he feels power surge though he every muscle as he starts to grow more and knocks back the general several feet. His skin is then as black as night with veins of lava all over him as he now seems to breath fire and the shield its self seems to have a fire attribute to it. The General looks his enemy and knows he is stronger than before and then seems more excited. The other heroes see that this is now Royfords battle and decide to cover him from the other monster as they seem drawn to him as the General seems to be releasing a sound that controls the lower monsters.
The two giants then clash once again but this time they are more serious and even seem entranced with the battle with each other. The shield and the sword seem to not budge against each other but the general is being over powered as Royford knocks him back more and more. Then as the two battle the general manages to get past Royford defense and jumps up and slashes at his neck cuts into his neck. But as the sword touches his neck it then melts on contact and the general tries to escape but is still in the air. Royford then slams his shield down on the generals open waist and the shield cuts him in half by the side of the shield. The general looks Royford in the eyes as he is then engulfed in flames and seems content on the battle he had. As the generals corpse falls to the ground Royford then roars in the air as now it starts to rain as if to calm his raging fire and end this battle. The soldiers mange to to slay the rest of the monsters they can while some run away rapidly.
Once they knew they have won the soldiers shout cries of glee and victory knowing they have won. They heroes then gather around Royford who is looking up and seems to be not returning too his normal size as he seems to have now changed as he asked for. He the looks up as he now knows he request was granted and he will never revert to his former self. He then looks to the others and speaks,
Royford ( The gods do listen and will answer your request but you must accept your own words after what you asked.)
Arti ( You ask and received but you are still Roy our friend a hero of this battle look at the lives you saved and will be remembered by. Be proud as not many can be able to request a gods aide and receive it so now let's rest from this battle together.)
Walsia ( Roy you will always be the gentle giant we all know no matter how you look you will be roy.)
Royford looks to his allies and feels a bit happy knowing they are his friends and will stay by his side even if he looks like this. As the group seem to be making way to the fort to rest Dinaya looks around and says,
Dinaya ( Where is Zola? wasn't he with you guys?)
All the heroes and soldiers look around and not a single one of them can find the man once their prisoner. He wasn't among the group of bodies on the field or even in the fort at all, he just disappeared and the heroes then understand what has happen. They have been play once again with the same trick he pulled on them in the city of justice and know they can't track him as he called them this time. Unaware to them now Zola was now miles away deep within the monsters domain knowing his journey was soon to end as he now holds several items on his back ready to gift them to the heroes who still need their divine weapon the wield for the final battle, as he walks deep into the dark forest disappearing.
