As Taehyung was busy texting Nari to let her know you're up to hang out this weekend, two familiar voices called out his name as they approached the two of you, and a soft smile painted your lips as you saw Namjoon wrap his arm around his shoulder
Namjoon: There you are! We tried to call you yesterday but you weren't picking up-
And as Jin's and his focus landed on you, they both immediately smiled knowingly whilst nodding, a knowing grin painting their lips as Namjoon teasingly greeted you
Namjoon: Ooooh, well hi there. Now I see why he wasn't picking up our calls nor texts...
This instantly made a faint blush slowly paint your cheeks as you scratched the back of your head shyly
Jungkook: Oh- uh we just- had some drinks together and food yesterday, the bars are pretty loud after all.
Taehyung put his phone into his pocket before biting back a chuckle as he looked away, rolling his eyes as Jin knowingly nudged his shoulder whilst humming
Jin: I see, and thats why you're wearing the same clothes from yesterday as well? Drinking all night long?
Another warm chuckle left his lips as he just as playfully returned the shoulder nudge back to him, glancing over at you before speaking up
Taehyung: Stop teasing him, he's blushing now
You rolled your eyes as you hit Taehyungs arm while huffing
Jungkook: I'm not blushing!
Though he clearly wasn't convinced as your words did not match up with what the eye could see, so he playfully nudged your chin upwards whilst turning and looking down at you, cooing softly as he kept teasing you
Taehyung: Oh you're not blushing huh, you just naturally have soft pink cheeks Jeon hm?
Just as you were about to open your mouth to say something, another familiar voice suddenly tuned in whilst giggling softly, as you had completely missed the arrival of your own friends
Hoseok: Why good morning love birds
Jimin: I see someones gotten close here
You rubbed your temples in embarrassment, knowing they all must've figured out what had happened the previous night at this point, meanwhile, Taehyung merely shrugged as he wrapped his arm around your shoulder casually
Taehyung: You're not wrong, we did get really close didn't we?
You fake smiled up at him as you let out a ''Kindly zip your mouth Kim'' making all your hyungs laugh
A soft hum left your lips as you checked the time on your phone before gently pulling on Taehyungs sleeve, noticing the two of you should get going now unless you wanted to get scolded by the professor
Jungkook: Hyung we should go, class starts soon
He looked at the time on your phone and nodded in agreement, meanwhile, some of your friends whistled teasingly
Yoongi: I see Taehyung has upgraded to hyung now
Taehyung winked at them and you rolled your eyes as you ignored their continuous teasing and just started pushing Taehyung forward so you could leave
Jungkook: Okay okay let's go before they call us out even more
| A few days later - Weekend
Whilst you were waiting by the fountain as promised, you carefully fixed your outfit slightly in the hopes of looking presentable in front of the duo you're meeting up with, heck you had even gotten there a little earlier just to make sure you were on time, though the wait only made your feel more nervous
Jungkook: Why am I this nervous... We're just hanging out
A soft sigh left your lips as you gently kicked the ground whilst looking around, soon finding yourself smiling warmly as you spotted a familiar face amongst the crowd heading your way, accompanied by a beautiful little girl holding his hand whilst waving them gently when they walked
You took a few steps forward approaching them as they got closer, and he smiled down at you and patted your head gently when you let out a soft ''Hi''
Taehyung: Did you wait long?
You shook your head softly before crouching down in front of Nari, showing her a warm smile as you waved softly
Jungkook: Hi princess, you must be Nari right?
She nodded happily whilst she held onto Taehyungs hand, swinging it gently as she looked up at the male and then back over at you in excitement hearing he talked about her
Nari: Appa told you about me?
A bright smile remained on your lips as you confidently nodded, admiring the resemblance she had to Taehyung despite the fact that he wasn't her dad
Jungkook: Of course he did, now where do you want to go first?
She thought for a bit as she looked around, before pointing towards a café close by
Nari: I wanna get ice cream! Can we, pleaseee?
Taehyung and you shared a wordless glance of confirmation before you gently patted her hair and nodded as you stood up
Jungkook: Of course we can sweetie
Taehyung: Let's go then!
She excitedly lead the way to the café before tip toeing near the counter, trying to look at the ice cream flavour they were offering with a struggle, so you immediately crouched down and carefully picked her up so that she was sitting on your arm with her arms wrapped around your neck, helping her see the options better as she giggled happily
Jungkook: Find anything that looks yummy?
Nari instantly pointed at one of the flavors she had seen, smiling brightly whilst looking at the both of you
Nari: Strawberry with rainbow sprinkles, pleaseee?
You booped her nose and nodded before glancing over at Taehyung as you smiled softly, not missing the way he had been watching the two of you with what almost seemed to be admiration
Jungkook: What should we get hyung?
Taehyung hummed as he stepped closer, looking at the menu whilst automatically resting his head on your shoulder as he played with Naris hand
Taehyung: I think I'll just get a chai latte, but make it take-away since this little ball of energy surely wants to go somewhere else as soon as she's done with her ice cream
The close and near intimate distance between the two of you mad you gulp as you nodded softly, proceeding to carefully put Nari down before smiling at the barista as she approached the three of you
Jungkook: Hello, could we get one strawberry ice cream with the rainbow sprinkles, one chai latte and one iced salted caramel latte. Oh and make the coffee's take-away please
She smiled and nodded as she typed in the order before telling you the order total, and so you swiftly stepped up and paid for the order, earning a soft huff from Taehyung as he rubbed your back and looked at you
Taehyung: I would've paid dummy, you paid last time
A soft giggle left your lips as you shook your head before turning towards the barista who handed you Naris ice cream
Jungkook: It's fine, here take this and go pick a table. I'll come there with our coffees once they're done.
He nodded and you handed the ice cream to Nari before they walked off to find a seat, and after a while, the barista came back with both of your coffees as she smiled warmly handing them to you
Barista: And here are your coffees, you have a very cute family!
You widened your eyes lightly in surprise as you blushed, clearing your throat as you briefly glanced over at the two currently sitting at a table
Jungkook: O-oh uhm I-... t-thanks
She nodded letting out a soft ''Enjoy!'' before you walked off, feeling guilty about not correcting her, but then again correcting her would've also made things awkward anyway, right?
Nonetheless, you walked up to the table Nari and Taehyung had chosen, handing Taehyung his coffee as you sat down with them
Jungkook: Careful, it's still really hot
He nodded and took a sip out of his coffee, meanwhile you glanced over at Nari happily enjoying her ice cream, instinctively reaching over and gently moving some strands of hair behind her ear so it wouldn't get into the ice cream she was eating as you smiled
Jungkook: What do you think about the ice cream, princess?
She smiled brightly up at you as she ate another spoonful
Nari: It's super yummy!
You smiled warmly and nodded, letting out a soft ''I'm glad dear'' before taking a sip out of your own coffee, humming happily at the taste.
It wasn't long before Nari was finished with her ice cream, and as Taehyung had predicted, she was quick on her feet wanting to move on to an indoor playground she had spotted inside the mall.
And so you and Taehyung held her hands, swaying her back and forth every now and then making her giggle as you all headed over there together, and as soon as Nari got her name-tag sticker so she could go inside and play around, she was gone within seconds and already in there playing around with other kids.
They then handed the two of you stickers as well to show you were Naris guardians, and Taehyung turned you towards him as he made you hold his coffee.
Jungkook: What are you doing?
He smiled as he grabbed one of the stickers before taping it onto your chest as he looked at you, earning a soft giggle out of you as he swiftly put on his own before the two of you headed over to a bench to sit down
Jungkook: Thanks, but I could've done that myself you know?
Taehyung shrugged as he sipped his coffee nonchalantly
Taehyung: Yeah but wheres the fun in that?
You rolled your eyes and smiled whilst waving at Nari, seeing her waving happily at the two off in the distance
Taehyung: Oh yeah what does your coffee taste like?
Without a second thought and a mere wordless glance, the two of you calmly exchanged your coffees tasting them, and you hummed softly as you looked up at him
Taehyung: Oh, yours is better than I thought it'd be
Jungkook: Yeah, yours is nice too!
He looked down at you only to bite back a chuckle as he shook his head, making you frown in confusion
Jungkook: What- Whats so funny now hyung?
He kept on chuckling softly while he gently reached over and placed his hand on your cheek, wiping some foam off of the corner of your lip, immediately licking it away from his thumb making your breath hitch as you blushed
God damn it heart, please calm down...
