"HOW ARE YOU FEELING?" LUNA ASKED.

Jackie shifted her crimson red eyes to Luna's similar ones. Even if they were a couple of feet apart from each other, the brunette was utterly amazed about the fact that she could see her own reflection from the dirty-blonde vampire's eyes. It was as if her eyesight was cranked up a hundred times better.

"Like I can see my previous home in London from here." Jackie replied.

A positively surprised smile took place on the tinted lips of the brunette newborn as she roamed her red eyes around the room to scan the faces of her family members.

She was still in a state of disbelief that she was now a vampire. She was just thinking about becoming a vampire just a few days ago and now she was one. And it was both way better and worse than she had imagined. Better in terms of all the enhanced senses that made everything more convenient, however, worse when it comes to dealing with her urges.

"Do you feel anything different? Something out of the ordinary?" Edward asked, his one arm wrapped in his wife's waist who was holding their daughter in her arms.

"Everything's out of the ordinary, Edward." Jackie responded with her eyebrows furrowed.

"What Edward was trying to say is if there's any chance that you might have developed any special ability. Like Alice being able to foresee the outcomes of decisions or Valerie being able to tap into people's fears." Esme explained, making it more understandable.

Jackie raised her eyebrows in realization, once again examining the facial expressions of everyone around her which resembled that of curiosity and expectation.

"Well, I don't feel anything different at the moment." The brunette answered.

Everyone in the room shared glances before the telephone rang, echoing in their ears before Jasper took it upon himself to answer it considering he was the nearest.

"Hello?" Jasper said after answering the phone.

Thanks to everyone's enhanced hearings, they were able to listen in on the phone call and it turns out, it was Carlisle on the phone.

"I just want to say that Charlie's stable now and he just woke up a few minutes ago asking for his daughters." Carlisle said.

After overcoming the hard part in saving Charlie's life last night, Carlisle and Jacob transferred Charlie to the hospital where he could get more of the medical help he needs to nurse him back to recovery.

Everyone's gazes then turned to the twin sisters Luna and Bella, who simply wore troubled expressions as they looked away from the others.

"I don't think the two of them being there is a good idea." Jasper replied, flickering his gaze between his wife and his sister-in-law as he answered.

"Neither do I. But Charlie was insistent in seeing them. It was either they go to him or he goes to them." Carlisle informed them.

The younger twin, Luna, fluttered her eyes close and sighed before she stood up from her seat and walks out of the room, towards her and Jasper's room. Jasper's worried gaze followed the figure of his wife until she was gone from his sight and the others'.

"I'll update you." Jasper said, not knowing what he should say.

"Will do the same." Carlisle responded before he hung up the phone.

Jasper placed the phone back down on the table before he made his way out of the room as well to accompany his wife in assessing her troubles while in their room.

Despite being the owner of the room as well and the fact that Luna already knowing of his presence, the honey-blonde vampire knocked on the open door before making his way towards his dirty-blonde soulmate.

"How are you holding up?" Jasper asked as he sank down on the bed next to Luna.

"Jasper, you're an empath. Aside from that, we have a bond. Is it really necessary to ask me how I'm holding up when you already know?" Luna said.

Jasper nodded slowly, looking away from his lover. "Fair point."

Luna groaned in frustration while she ran her fingers through her hair.

"It's like my mind is not my own anymore. I can't stand being within five feet of my niece without my brain screaming at me, telling me to fucking drink her blood. Now, daddy wants me to visit him in a place that is basically a hotspot for outraged vampires. And if I don't go there, then he'll go here and I'll put him in danger. It's—" Luna sighed deeply before removing her hands from her hair on burying her face in her palms. "It's messed up—I'm messed up."

Jasper looked over at his wife. He takes her hands away from her face with one hand and uses his other lift her face up to meet his gaze. While cupping her cheek and caressing it with his thumb, he leaned in and brushed his lips against hers.

The slow, passionate kiss the two had shared lasted for a couple of seconds before he slowly pulled away and lets himself stare right into the woman's glossy red eyes while she stared right back at his golden ones.

"You're far from messed up, Mrs. Hale." Jasper said.

For the almost twenty-four hours that they were pronounced married, Jasper still wasn't getting tired of calling Luna 'Mrs. Hale' and everyone got the feeling that he won't ever get tired of it at all.

"I doubt flattery's gonna solve my problem, cowboy. But, that was a good one." Luna simply replied, making the honey-blonde vampire stifle a smile to form on his lips.

"Darlin', I'm genuinely worried. What can I do?" Jasper said.

He clasped his hand in Luna's before bringing it up to his lips, placing a soft kiss at the back of her hand without wavering his gaze from her.

"Just promise you'll bring me back if ever I lose myself again." Luna said.

Jasper let a small smile slightly brighten up the mood inside the room as he nodded.

"Always." Jasper replied.

Luna returned the genuine smile from her husband before she looked away and rose from the bed.

"Now, help me beat Emmett up." Luna said.

The honey-blonde vampire looked up at his wife in confusion as he asked.

"Why?" he asked.

"Because my Iron Man bottle is missing again and there's only one vamp in this house stupid enough to test my wrath." Luna answered.

Before Jasper could reply, a voice coming from downstairs, in the living room, was heard resonating throughout the entire house.

"Edward made me do it!" Emmett shouted from the living room.

Jasper could only laugh as he shook his head, once again entertained by the hilarious bickering of the trio, which had been a daily routine.

"Okay, Jazzy, help me torture Emmett and Edward so they could tell me where my bottle is." Luna said.

"Inside the piano!" Emmett and Edward simultaneously shouted as soon as Luna finished her sentence.

A victorious smirk was planted on the dirty-blonde vampire's lips as she rolled her eyes.

"Wimps." She whispered.

Considering their enhanced hearings, a wave of strong objections coming from Edward and Emmett were echoing in the whole house, reciting the different reasons why they are indeed not wimps, which only amused Luna more and kept her from remembering to beat herself up with what happened.

─── ❖ ── ✦ ── ❖ ───

It had been a long time since Luna last felt the rays of the sun hit her skin. Today was a beautiful sunny day. The sun shone brightly as she bathed in it, not caring if anyone should see her sparkling pale skin. After all, she was just simply standing in the middle of the beach in the reservation, and everyone in the area already knew the real her.

"Hey, disco ball." Someone shouted from afar.

Luna turned her head towards the direction of where the voice came from and there she saw Paul with his feet sinking into the sand with every step he took towards her.

"I'm the only one who can call myself that. Anyone else will receive a proper beating." Luna stated.

Paul finally reached the girl and she could see the smile planted on his lips as he approached her. It was his first time seeing the girl sparkle under the sun. It was supposed to be lame, as he had thought for a long time. But as he stood there next to a vampire whose skin was glowing and eyes shining a bright red, she looked somehow devilishly beautiful.

But unlike before, he wasn't as attracted to her as he was before. Imprinting on Rachel Black instantly changed his feelings towards the vampire, but it didn't change the fact that Luna was still important to him.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

Luna glanced away from the shapeshifter and letting herself mimic the serenity of the ocean in front of her. She wished she could move and think as calm as the waves of the water. She wished that nothing would make her do abrupt things like a storm would to the ocean.

"Getting some fresh air." Luna simply replied.

"And you decided to get that here?" Paul asked, crossing his arms.

"I could smell the ocean." Luna said. The way she was standing there and gazing into the ocean looked foreign for the shapeshifter. As though he doesn't recognize this calm, serious girl. "That is until you tainted it with your stink."

He spoke too soon. There she was again. The Luna he wholeheartedly knows. But he couldn't shake the feeling like she was pretending, forcing herself to be okay.

"Why are you really here, Luna?" Paul asked, a concerned look now plastered across his face.

Luna sighed before she looked away from the ocean and turned her whole body towards the shapeshifter.

"I need you to let me copy. I can't find Seth or Leah anywhere" She said.

Paul pushed his eyebrows together as he proceeded to look at the girl.

"The last time I saw you phased, you were going to kill me." Paul said.

Luna shrugged. "So?"

Paul gave a confused smile before he replied.

"So, no. I'm not gonna let you copy me."

"Oh, come on. It's not like I'm gonna kill you after."

Paul cocked an eyebrow at the girl's direction, giving Luna another chance to rephrase her sentence with the truth.

"Okay, I might do that, but I'm not gonna kill you now." Luna said.

"That makes me feel really at ease." He replied sarcastically.

"Great! Then let me copy you." She responded.

Paul uncrossed his arms and settled his hands on his hips before he retorted.

"You know, for someone whose mouth is literal sarcasm, you're not that good in noticing one." Paul said, thinking that Luna did not take note of the sarcastic tone in his voice in his earlier statement.

"Oh, I noticed it. I simply don't care." She said.

"Of course, you don't." Paul said as he rolled his eyes. "Why didn't you try Jacob?"

There was a brief silence between the two and the subtle splash of the waves against the shore as well as the woosh of the cold breeze were the only sounds that could be heard from their surroundings. It was one of the reasons why this place was good when one wants to relax.

"He won't leave Renesmee's side." Luna said. She pursed her lips before she continued. "I can't be within five feet of her because her blood is driving me insane."

Paul's mind then drifted away for a bit when he recalled the events that happened last night. Everyone held at gunpoint by a trembling blonde girl, Jackie bleeding out on the polished floor, Charlie taking a bullet for his daughter, Luna sucking the life out of Hannah.

"Which is why I need you to let me copy because I need a distraction." Luna said.

She looks straight into Paul's eyes and he could see how she was pleading through her glistening red eyes.

"Please." She added.

Paul took a moment to make his decision, leaving Luna to stare at the shapeshifter in anticipation before he sighed and held out his left hand towards her. The dirty-blonde vampire placed a small smile on her lips before taking his hand and once again letting the exhilarating electricity flow through her body. She fluttered her eyes closed, a sigh leaving her lips before letting go of his hand and the electrifying feeling was instantly gone.

Luna opened her eyes takes deep breaths before settling her eyes back on the shapeshifter.

"Thank you." She said.

Paul shoved his hands inside the pocket of his denim shorts before nodding once.

"Just stay out of trouble." Paul said.

Luna couldn't help but let out a short laugh as she backed away from him.

"That's like saying I should stop yapping." She replied.

Paul himself simply laughed and shook his head before watching the dirty-blonde vampire eventually disappear from his line of sight.

─── ❖ ── ✦ ── ❖ ───

The Cullen family once again took care of fabricating another accident that caused Hannah's demise. Luna sits that one out because she thought that it would be best if she and Jackie were as far away from that case as possible to prevent any suspicions to arise.

While the others took care of that pressing matter, Valerie accompanied Luna to the hospital to visit her dad. Jasper could've taken himself with her, but even he wasn't a good example in controlling his urges.

Valerie had the best restraint out of all of them, therefore, she took it upon herself to accompany Luna to the hospital. It was a stupid idea, to begin with. Luna had just been in a blood frenzy the other night. But Charlie kept calling and telling his daughters to come or else he'll go there himself, healed or not.

Well, who could blame him? They were held at gunpoint the other night and he thought that one of his daughters was gonna get hurt. Any parent would get worried like crazy after that.

"Val, this is a really, really bad idea." Luna muttered as they entered the hospital.

They could already smell the scent of both sweet and rotting blood under their noses when they were outside. Now that they have entered the premises, the scent just became more stronger and the urge never had been more powerful.

"It's okay, Luna-bear. I'm here. You can do this. Remember, your dad is waiting for you." Valerie said.

Luna glanced at the redhead beside her and she pushed her lips into a thin line before sighing and proceeded to walk.

She concentrated on her own breathing as she took one step after another, not without making herself look as if she was just casually strolling by.

The dirty-blonde vampire had to shoot many forced and tight-lipped smiles towards the people that looked her way. She knew she looked incredibly awkward but she couldn't help it. It was as if it's a coping mechanism. To let herself feel embarrassed because of what she's doing instead of feeling drawn to the blood that was all over the place.

"Valerie, Luna." Carlisle greeted them as soon as they were caught in his line of sight. "Jasper told me you were coming."

"Yep. Here we are. Not sinking our fangs into the patients and everything." Luna said, proceeding to be incredibly awkward.

Carlisle could only give a small smile at the remark before placing a comforting hand on the dirty-blonde vampire's shoulder.

"Are you sure you're alright?" Carlisle asked, genuinely worried about Luna after the whole human blood incident.

"Yeah. Yeah, I think I can." Luna simply replied.

Carlisle nodded before gesturing for the both of them two follow him into a room. He opened the door and it quickly revealed the man lying on the hospital bed with a remote in his hand while his gaze was fixated on the TV against the wall.

"Charlie, Luna's here." Carlisle said when he opened the door.

Luna looked back at Valerie and nodded at her in assurance before the redhead allowed her to enter the room on her own.

Charlie turned off the television and placed the remote beside him as his gaze followed the young woman taking her time to make her way towards her father.

"Hi, daddy." Luna said.

A relieved expression was plastered across Charlie's face seeing his daughter's face as well as hearing her rarely sweet voice.

"I'm so glad you're okay." Charlie breathed.

Luna stayed at least three feet away from her dad's bed, it was close, but Luna was able to control long enough to have a short conversation with him.

"Why wouldn't I be? You freaking took a bullet for me." Luna replied.

"Any parent would do the same."

"But daddy, you could've died. Do you hear me?"

"It's better than letting you take it."

"No, it's not! That's unfair! What if you died, huh? You can't just throw yourself in front of a bullet and expect me to be fine because I'm not! If you had died, I feel like that's on me. And I can't have that in my conscience! It's—It's too much." Luna exclaimed.

Charlie remained silent as he stared at his daughter, his eyes glistening while watching Luna get both annoyed and worried about the state his father was in.

"I can't stand the sight of you getting hurt." Charlie muttered.

"I won't, daddy. I won't get hurt ever again." Luna said.

Charlie couldn't help but shed a tear. He quickly wipes it away from his cheek before responding.

"You better, or else I'll hunt Jasper down for it." He said.

Luna stifled a laugh, as well as Charlie.

After that, silence has befallen the whole room. And for that, Luna could once again feel the urge banging into her head like a hammer, telling her to drink. She swallowed hard multiple times, attempting to get rid of the urge that she learned to be impossible, until a hand reached for hers and squeezed on it gently.

"Go and have fun." Said Charlie to his daughter.

Luna simply furrowed her eyebrows at the statement of her father.

"I know I sound like I'm just sending you off to a horror house to grab onto people's ankles and scare them even more like you used to do when you were a kid. But now, I'm talking about you moving on to the next chapter of your life." Charlie said, a happy yet somehow sad smile tugging on his lips. "You're married now. Enjoy it."

"But who's gonna take care of you?" Luna asked.

Charlie opened his mouth to answer his daughter's question but he closed it again when the door of the room suddenly opened and revealed Sue Clearwater hugging multiple bags of chips in her arms.

"I raided the vending machine and—" Sue cut herself off when her eyes landed on the dirty-blonde vampire next to Charlie.

Luna cocked an eyebrow in amusement as she flickered her gaze between Sue and Charlie, who was wearing a sheepish look that Luna found adorable.

"Oh, hey, Luna. How are you feeling?" Sue asked.

"I've lost count of how many times I was asked that question." Luna said. "But, I'm fine, thank you." She added, being polite.

Luna then shifted her gaze away from Sue and back to her father before she spoke.

"So, I'm gonna do that thing you asked me to do, then. 'Have fun' and all." Luna said.

She abandoned the forced smile she was wearing before and replaced it with a genuine one as she gently squeezed her father's hand.

"Love you, daddy." She said.

"Love you, too, kiddo." He replied.

The two sincerely smiled at each other before Luna withdrew her hand and made a move to leave the room. She shot Sue a warm smile as she walked past her and out the door.

Valerie was already waiting outside the room and they said goodbye to Carlisle before making their way out of the hospital, much to Luna's relief.

"So, your dad said you should have fun. What's on your first list, Luna-bear?" Valerie asked as she has her hand clasped in Luna's while they walk.

Luna didn't need to think of something she could do for fun. There was still one thing that she wasn't able to do since the wedding and she has been wanting to go through with it but she was bothered by the worry she has for both Charlie and Jackie.

But now, both of them were okay and there's nothing left but to continue what she and her husband were originally planned to do after the wedding.

"I'm going on my honeymoon." She answered.

─── ❖ ── ✦ ── ❖ ───

Yep. That's right. The next chapter is the honeymoon chapter and for those who were asking details about *you know what*, you'll finally get it!

Anyway, I hope you guys liked this chapter even though it was kinda boring. But I changed the cover for this book, and I am obsessed.

I'm so excited for the next chapter! I hope you guys are, too. <333
