Ryuji POV
The next morning, we all get up and go to the meeting room where Frost is waiting for us.
"Glad you slowpokes could finally make it" he says
"Yeah yeah, just tell us the mission already" I say
"Someone's eager" Frost says
"Eager is a strong word" I say
"For your next mission, you all will be sent to Germany so you better do some studying. Starting with today, you all will have 4 days to prepare. You're mission is to fine and capture the leader of a worldwide terrorist organization" Frost says while pulling up a picture of the guy
"Worldwide, huh? Must be a pretty big organization" I say
"Pretty big is an understatement" Frost says
"Sir, doesn't that seem a bit too much for us to handle? I mean, it's us 6 first years against this huge organization" Logan says
"Come on now Logan! I'm never one to back down from a challenge!" Kris says
"This still seems like a job for the bigger heroes" Cap says
"Those "bigger heroes" have tried, and failed. Which is why we are sending you all. You're tasked to find out exactly where the leader is located and take them out quickly and efficiently" Frost says as he leaves
"Was that a compliment?" I think
"You heard the man, let's start training" Cap says
"Sorry Cap, but I've got work to do that I've been slacking on" I say
"Yeah, your training regimen is kinda slow so
I'm gonna be doing my own thing" Nadia says
"I apologize my friend, but I must agree" Kris says
"I'm gonna head to the shooting range" Logan says
"I see how it is..." Cap says
"Umm...I think your training regimen is good" Yami says
"Just go do your own thing Yami" Cap says
I leave and head back to my workshop and get back to work on my energy shield. I could have been basically done with it by now, but a lot has happened since the last time I worked on it.
"This thing is able to take small hits. Now I just need to test it against heavy hitters. Now who is something that can easily smash things to pieces?" I say to myself
I then remember probably one of the heaviest hitters I will ever know.
"This is gonna be very stupid, but it's for the sake of advancement" I say
I attach the prototype shield to my suit and I go and find Yami.
"Yami! Just the man I want to see" I say
"Oh, hello Ryuji. What can I do for you?" He asks
"Well you see, I need your help testing out a prototype of mine" I say
"Do you need me to run some numbers? I can do tha-" I cut him off
"I need you to hit me" I say
He looks at me for a second.
"What do you mean?" He asks
"Well, I don't need your help as much as I need Hulk's" I say
"Oh no. Sorry Ryuji but I can't help you" Yami says
"Come on! I really need to test out my prototype energy shield against heavy hitters. And you're one of the most physically strongest person I know!" I say
"I don't know...It could turn out really bad" He says
"It'll be fine! I'm a professional, I know what I'm doing" I say
Yami then thinks for a moment.
"I guess it will help me learn how to control Hulk better..." he says
"Yes! Come on, let's head to the sparring room" I say
We both head to the sparring room and I get ready.
"Come on, bring out big green" I say now inside my suit
"I need you to annoy me or make me angry" he says
"So I just have to-" I get cut off
As soon as I start to speak he starts to transform.
"Now that's just mean" I say while activating the shield
He fully transforms and Hulk looks at me with those glowing eyes of his.
"Now I don't get scared easily, but this is kinda terrifying" I say as I ready myself
"Ragh!!" Hulk shouts
"Now all you have to do is pu-" I get cut off
He catches me off guard and I get send flying back and I slam into that wall.
"Punch me" I finish as I stumble while standing back up stand up
It looks like my shield held up pretty well.
"Looks like I can move on to the real version. But before that, maybe I can play with big green here for a bit" I say
And so, I spend some time training with Yami.
Day of the mission...
"Alright everyone! Today is the day of the mission so let's get suited up!" Cap says
We all get into our hero suits and head out to the landing pad. We are greeted with that looks like a big jet
"This is what will be taking you to your missions from now on" Frost says
"Whistle...Not a bad ride" Logan says
"This will be a breeze. I mean it's not like they'll just drop us off in the middle of nowhere on Germany" I say
"That's exactly what we're gonna do" Frost says
"Why?!" I ask
"We don't have any leads as to where the leader could be. So it's up to you all to track him down" Frost says
"Is there at least something we could work with?" I ask
"You'll be dropped off in a town where the leader was last seen" Frosts says
"How long ago was he seen there?" Nadia asks
"2 weeks ago" Frost says
"We're in for the long run" I think
We all board the jet and it start to take off.
"Huh, nice autopilot" I say
As the flight begins, I decide to take off my suit.
About 8 hours later...
"You have arrived at your destination" a feminine voice from the jet says
"Alright everyone, let's get ready for landing" Cap says
"Yeah, let's get ready to land" I say while opening the door while we are still in the air
"Ryuji! What are you doing?!" Cap asks
"Oh you know, just a bit of skydiving" I say while jumping off
"Ryuji!" I hear Nadia shout
"Oh shit...I forgot to put my suit back on..." I think while falling from the sky
I hold out my arms and wait for my suit to come flying at me. I watch my suit leave the jet and fly straight towards me and attach itself onto me. I then activate my thrusters and safely land onto the ground.
"See, perfect landing" I say over coms
"You're an idiot" Nadia responds
"Wait, Kris!" I hear Cap shout over coms
"Ahahaha! I'd like to join in on the fun as well!" Kris says
I can see Kris jump out of the jet. As he gets closer to the ground he activates the boots I made him and lands onto the ground.
"Hahaha! That was a blast!" Kris shouts
"At least someone knows how to have fun" I say
"Oh screw it" Logan says
I see him jump off the jet and parachute down.
"I'm never one to turn down skydiving" Logan says as he lands
"I guess we are all doing this" Nadia says as she jumps off and parachutes down
"W-Wait Steven! I've never done something like this!" Yami yells as he falls off the jet
Luckily he activates his parachute in time and safely lands.
"For someone with berserk as their quirk, you're kind of a coward" I say
"I-I'm n-never d-doing that a-again..." Yami says
"Coming down!" Cap says
Cap parachutes down and lands onto the ground and we watch the jet fly away.
"Well that was fun" I say
"Next time, let's just land normally" Nadia says
"You're no fun" I say
"Now then, let's go and start asking around the town" Cap says
We all head into the small town and split up and ask around. When we all meet up again I see a lot of disappointed faces.
"So, anyone got some information?" Cap asks
"No" Nadia says
"Nothing" Logan says
"Not even a drop" Kris says
"I couldn't find anything" Yami says
"What about you Ryuji?" Cap asks
"Well, you could say that I found something" I say
"What did you find?" Cap asks
"I was told that we went west after leaving this town. That's all I found out" I report
"Well, it's better than nothing" Nadia says
"Hey! I worked hard for that info!" I say
"What, did you pay someone?" Logan sarcastically asks
"I payed two people actually..." I say
"So I guess we just hit every town to the west of here" Yami says
"Let's just hope that he didn't go into the major cities" Cap says
"Now the question is, how are we gonna travel? The jet already flew away and we can't exactly take a bus in our suits. We are trying to not draw attention to ourselves" Logan says
We all look At each other.
"Any ideas, Cap?" I ask
"Uh...I'm open to suggestions" he says
"Maybe we can call the jet back" Yami says
"How do we do that?" Logan asks
"Frost...how do we call the jet back?" I ask over coms
There isn't a response.
"Sigh...I'll go get it" I say as I take off into the air
It takes...a while, but I eventually catch up with the jet. I enter and turn it back around to where the rest of the team is. When I get there, the jet lands and everyone gets inside.
"Alright, now we just put in the first coordinate" I say
I put in the next town and we start to fly west.
"Surely this won't take too long..." I think while taking off my suit
6 days later...
So it turns out that lead I payed for was fake. So we've had to literally fly around every corner of Germany.
"How have we spent 6 days searching?!" Logan shouts
"Today will be the day" Cap says
"You said the same thing yesterday" Nadia says
"Well there is no contact from Frost so we are stuck here till we complete the mission" I say
"Let's take a break everyone" Cap says
The jet lands next to this beautiful lake. We all take a bit to stretch our legs and breathe some fresh air.
"Guys, let's take a picture together" I say
"Why?" Nadia asks
"Come on! Don't be such a stick in the mud" I say
"Ha! I would love to take a picture! It will be a memorabilia to our first official mission!" Kris says
"Exactly! C'mon Cap, it'll be like a team bonding thing" I say
"I suppose that's true...Alright, everyone get behind Ryuji!" Cap says
Nadia stands next to me since she's the shortest while everyone else gets behind me.
"Everyone say Käse!" I shout
I take the picture and we all step back to look at it. Kris is giving a thumbs up with a big smile. Yami is giving off an awkward looking smile. Cap is giving a salute while smiling. Logan lowered his sunglasses while giving the camera a smirk. Nadia is still giving off an annoyed look but if you look close enough, you can see a faintest smile on her face.
"Yami you've gotta work on your picture face" I say
"S-Sorry" he says
"I'm just messing with you, that awkwardness is part of your charm. Reminds me of a certain spider kid I know" I say
"Alright everyone, let's get back to the jet" Cap says
We all board the jet again and we put in the coordinates to our next stop.
"I've got a good feeling about this next stop" Cap says
I look at the photo we took and I decide to send it to Toru.
Toru POV
I'm currently just in my room doing some homework.
"I wish Ryuji has here to help me. Math is so hard!" I say to myself
"Ding!"
My phone goes off. I pick it up and see that I got a message from Ryuji.
"Stuck in Germany with these losers" Is what the message says
I see that he also sent an image. I look and see a selfie of him and his teammates with a beautiful lake behind them. I look at Ryuji and he's giving off a winking smile to the camera. I also see that he has his arm wrapped around Nadia's neck.
"Jeez, I know that it means nothing but I can't help but get a little worried and anxious...and maybe a little jealous" I think
I send Ryuji a response and go back to doing my homework. Although now it's a bit harder it focus...
Ryuji POV
"Lol, hope you are all able to get back safely" is what Toru's response is
"Why do I get the feeling that I just lost some Toru points..." I think
A 2 hours later...
We land at our next stop and split up to do some investigating.
"Hey you, I hear you and your little group have been asking around for the boss" some one in an alleyway says
"So what if we have been?" I ask
"You all better stop before you all end up getting hurt" the guy says
"Oh really? Well how about you and me have a little chat" I say
"Don't say I didn't warn you" the guy says
The guy gets ready to attack me but I send a repulsor blast at him and he gets knocked out. I grab him and head back to the jet.
"Looks like you've found something" Logan says
"Oh I found something alright. This guy here apparently works for our target" I say
"Really? Then when he wakes up we're gonna have a little chat with him" Nadia while giving off a sadistic smirk
"I like the way you think" I say while giving off the same smirk
"We'll leave you two to it" Cap says
Steven POV
Nadia and Ryuji take the guy inside the jet and close the door.
"They won't do anything that bad...will they?" Yami asks
"I guess we'll just have to wait and see" I respond
After lots of screaming and what sounds like crying, Nadia and Ryuji come back out with the criminal passed out again.
Ryuji POV
"We found out where the leader is located" Nadia says
"I won't question how, but good work anyways" Cap says
"What should we do with him?" I ask
"Contact the local police and have them take him away" Cap says
I do just that, and after handing him off to a very confused police officer we head out to where the base is located.
"Looks like our luck is starting to turn around" I think...
