THIRD PERSON POINT OF VIEW

Two siblings sat across each other on the couches of the fireplace lounge. When Thor was learning how to wield Mjolnir with his father, Loki and Iduna were reading. Loki was already sixteen years old in human years while Iduna was only twelve.

"Do you think if I asked Kora to dance with me tonight, she would say yes?" Loki asked, looking up from his book.

"I do not know, you might scare her away before you even start talking." Iduna jokingly answered, still staring down at the pages of her own book.

"Oh, you're hilarious." the older brother rolled his eyes.

"I'm kidding." the sister chuckled, before returning her gaze to her book.

"What about you?" Loki questioned, changing the subject from him to Iduna.

"I haven't found much interest in anyone lately." She gave Loki a soft smile. It was true. While Thor and Loki, mainly Thor, were trying to impress every maiden in Asgard, Iduna never gave much thought to the idea of romance, or at least, the perfect one.

"Have you thought of Eir's apprentice in the Healing Room?" Loki asked, no longer paying attention to his reading.

"Amara?" Iduna questioned, trying to think of who her brother was referring to. Loki nodded his head in response. "What of her?" Iduna kept her gaze on her book and turned a page.

"You two would seem nice together." Loki commented, making Iduna smile a bit.

"Well, she is a lovely maiden. A bit ambitious, though. Reminds me of Thor a little." Iduna looked up from her book making eye contact with Loki. "Now pay attention to your book. Mother expects us to be reading at this moment." the younger sister nagged.

"Oh, come on, sister." Loki rolled his eyes while shutting his book close and tossing it to the side. "Do you really expect me to just sit here and read?"

"Yes, I do. But, you're doing a horrible job at it." Iduna responded. The brother just scoffed at her before yanking the book out of his sister's hands. "Hey!" Iduna reached out to grab it back, but Loki stood from the couch and held the book up.

Iduna frustratedly stood up and tried to grab the book, but Loki's height towered over her, so the book was out of her reach. As Iduna continued to struggle, Loki used his magic to make the book disappear until it was gone from his hand.

"There, now you don't have to read." Loki grinned. Iduna dropped her jaw, in shock of her brother's immaturity, before rolling her eyes in annoyance.

"Fine, brother. If you want to act childishly, then act childishly." Iduna turned around to quickly grab a pillow off the couch and swung it to hit Loki in the shoulder.

"Ow!" Loki grabbed his shoulder. Iduna dropped the pillow and tried to rush out the room, but Loki caught up before she could run out the door. The brother grabbed his sister's stomach from behind and lifted her off the ground.

"Loki! Put me down!" Iduna laughed out. She kept struggling to get out as both of them filled the room with their laughter.

IDUNA'S POINT OF VIEW

The laughter from the long ago memory echoed in my head, but soon faded away. I looked around and I was still in the jet, wearing my battle attire with Clint and a few other agents. I was back in reality.

"We're here." Clint said in a monotone manner. He stood up from his seat and opened the rear door of the jet. We were flying right next to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s helicarrier. Clint stood right on the edge of the door, aiming his arrow away from the helicarrier, before shooting it. The arrow was swerved by the wind, landing on the side of a turbine.

Clint pressed the button on his bow, triggering the arrow to explode on the turbine. I watched the debris fall from the helicarrier as we flew away from the blast.

Thor, please do not be on that side of carrier.

The jet landed on the flight deck of the helicarrier before we marched over to a vent. An agent kicked down the vent an jumped down, into the carrier. The other agents and I followed as did Clint.

"Keep that engine down!" Clint ordered.

"Yes, sir." Two of the geared agents rushed to the hallway behind us.

"Lead her to the detention level, wait for cameras to go dark." Clint pointed to the halls next to us.

"Got it." Another agent complied before I followed him to the lower level, where they were keeping Loki. The agent and I made our way into a narrow grey hallway.

"Over there!" Two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents charged towards us while firing the guns. I held up my hands and used their own life energy to create a force field, blocking the bullets. I pushed my hands forward to fire a blast of energy to the agents, sending them flying back to the walls. Both of them let out a yell of pain as the bones cracked against the wall. The cries I heard echoes in my mind. These innocent men were losing their lives in hands of me.

Barton's agent and I proceeded down the grey hallways where we were met with two more S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. I instantly used my hands to drain both them of their life energy and a large white orb grew above us. Five more S.H.I.E.L.D. agents appeared behind the two. I shoved my hands forward to send the orb of energy to the five agents, taking them down, all at once. I walked passed the bodies of the agents I had just taken down, Barton's agent following behind me.

A S.H.I.E.L.D. agent was guarding the door, and soon saw us. He instantly aimed his gun but Barton's agent quickly shot him and his body fell to the ground. The door was locked and had a biometric finger print scanner next to it. Most likely for someone like Director Fury.

The screen of the scanner suddenly shut off, and the door slid open. Meaning Clint got into the system and shut off the power. The door was fully slid open and revealed, was Loki locked in a large glass cell.

           "About time." Loki grinned wickedly.

"Release him from the cell." I ordered in an emotionless tone as we stepped inside the tall room.

"Yes ma'am" Barton's agent complied, walking over to the control panel. The glass door of the cell slid open before Loki slowly walked out and down the steps to where I stood.

"Thor should be here soon." I stated, looking up at Loki.

"Well then," Loki turned back to the cell and casted an illusion of himself inside it. "I think it's time for a bit of games."

What I would do to slap that stupid grin off his face.

"Come on." Loki headed over to the control panels where I followed. Barton's agent closed the cell so it would appear that Loki was still locked up. I soon heard heavy steps from outside and instantly recognized who they were. The door of the glass cell slid open again before Loki's illusion stepped out.

"No!" Thor ran up the steps and charged. Only to fall through Loki's illusion and into the cell, where the door shut closed. Loki stepped forward and I stayed one step behind him.

"Are you ever not going to fall for that?" He questioned. Thor's eyes soon moved to my cold, emotionless stare. It hurt to have to see Thor like this, watching Loki against him, with me standing at his side.

"Loki, release her! Release our sister!" Thor shouted through the glass.

"I'm simply protecting her." Loki replied.

I swear to the Allfathers, if I hear him mention "protecting me" one more time, I will scream.

Thor struck the glass with Mjolnir, causing the locks that held up the cell to loosen. I felt a pit in my stomach, realizing what the cell was meant to do.

"The humans think us immortal." Loki smiled as he walked over to the control panel. "Should we test that?" Loki almost pressed a button on the panel before Barton's agent was knocked out. It was Coulson.

Oh, no. No, no, no, no, Coulson, you shouldn't be here.

"Move away, please." Coulson stepped forward, holding a very large weapon in his hands and aiming it at Loki. "You like this? We started working on the prototype after you sent the Destroyer. Even I don't know what it does. Do you want to find out?" Before I realized, Loki was behind Coulson and stabbed him in the heart with his scepter.

           NO!

I mentally screamed as I watched Coulson drop to the floor, against the wall where his blood trailed above him. The illusion of Loki that stood by the control panel faded away. I stared at Coulson with no emotion on my face, when inside my head, I was sobbing and breaking down, knowing I couldn't do anything to save him.

"NO!" Thor pounded his fist on the glass. Loki walked past Coulson and gestured to the blood on his scepter as Thor's eyes followed him. Loki flipped a switch on the control panel, opening a hole under the cell. My attention quickly turned from Coulson to Thor. Loki's hans was hovering over the button that I feared.

           No, not Thor too.

Loki took one last look at Thor, before pushing the button to send the cell flying down, out of the helicarrier. All of this was too much. Watching a friend be murdered one minute before you see your brother being dropped from over 50,000 feet. And all of your cries, your grief, your anger, is bottled up inside of you, begging to get out.

Loki stared down at the hole and walked away from the panel, along with me following him.

"You're going to lose." Coulson weakly said and my gaze turned to him.

"Am I?" Loki questioned, turning around to face Coulson.

"It's in your nature." He answered.

"Your heroes are scattered. Your floating fortress falls from the sky." Loki took a few steps closer to Coulson. "Where is my disadvantage?"

           "You lack conviction."

That, has to be the best and truest thing I've heard someone say to Loki in the past few days.

"I don't think I'm-" Coulson cut off Loki by blasting him with the weapon that laid in his  lap. Loki was sent through the wall, leaving a large hole in it.

"So, that's what it does." Coulson weakly smiled. I walked away to check on Loki but was stopped in my path. "Hey," I turned around when I heard Coulson's voice. "Loki's not gonna win. You will get out of this. And when you do, just remember that this wasn't your fault." I coldly stared at Coulson, but I was still listening. "You're a good person, Iduna. And I know, that good person can hear me right now." I gave Coulson an emotionless stare before walking away, leaving him alone to die.

All I wanted was to heal him, save his life, free myself and this world from Loki. But every time I try to defy Loki's orders, tell myself not to hurt these people, my actions do differently. And because of that, a friend has fallen.

           Phil Coulson has fallen.
