Lauren's pov:
I quickly got changed then ran over to ari's room to wake her up.
" Ariana wake up we are leaving soon!" I turned the light on and kept her door open.
" it's only 5:45 ?"
" darriss planned something already." I said as I ran back downstairs and the guys were getting ready.
" okay we are going to park at ms.joannes house, she lives two houses before pops, if darriss sees our cars he will be prepared." Jason said.
" ari is almost ready, Jason what's the plan now?" I asked as I put sunglasses on.
" okay, Brandon and fredo, you guys are gonna go through the front, scope out and if You come across him, text me. Lauren and I are going to go in through the back. Ariana is going to go through the bathroom window and plant the bomb, if things go down hill we are gonna need to use it.since it's during the day, we need to be cautious. Police are looking for any reason to bust people down here. You ready Lauren?" Jason looked over at me.
" yes" I said confidently even though I was screaming inside.
"Alright let's go guys." Jason said as he put a arm around my waist and walked out the front door.
" Jason." I looked over at him when we got in the car.
" hm?" He looked over at me.
" If I come in contact of him, you're going to have to control me, I might lose control and attack him." I said seriously.
" don't worry." Jason popped his gum and backed out the driveway.
" uh okay." He drove down the road.
My heart started to beat faster. I was actually getting scared.
What the hell. Why am I getting scared? Lauren you can do this. No you can't. You're going against the guy who took everything. Ruined everything. The anger building in me made me mad. Lauren you got this. Everything will be okay after this.
" you got this Lauren." Jason snapped me out of my thoughts.
" are you sure?" I asked as he turned and parked in the driveway.
" I'm positive." He put his hand on my thigh and looked at me.
" I love you." I said as he leaned in and kissed me passionately.
" I love you too baby girl you ready ." He said breaking the kiss.
" I think yes." I said as I unbuckled myself.
" don't slam your door loudly." Jason said as he opened his door.
I closed my door as quietly as i could.
" good, let's go." Jason said as he handed me a hand gun and he held his gold one.
" customized nice." I smiled.
" we will get you one after this." Jason said as he put it in his jacket.
" nice." I laughed and held Jason's hand.
Fredo pulled up and Brandon and Ariana were behind him.
" alright fredo and Brandon, you got this, this shall be easy and fast. Ariana the girls restroom is on the other side. You guys ready?" Jason said.
" let's get this over with." Brandon said.
" you got this girl." Ariana said to me.
" okay let's go." Jason held my hand and we walked secretly down to the side of the building. I saw fredo and Brandon sneak in through the front.
" Lauren." Jason looked at me.
I turned my head and didn't say anything.
" it's time." He said standing up.
" okay, I'm ready." We slowly walked to the back and saw darriss standing by joe, Macy, and I think her name is Sanya. They were all tied up. There was two other guys in there who looked like they were probably with darriss cause they weren't tied.
" when you see fredo, that's when we will go." Jason whispered in my ear.
I nodded.
We waited for about 2 minutes watching until Jason got tired of waiting.
" come on let's go." Jason got up slowly and walked inside.
" untie them and I'll think about not fucking blowing your face off." Jason said entering.
" oh what a surprise. Oh hi Lauren." He grinned at me.
" Jason." I whispered.
He put his hand out.
" darriss let them go!" I said.
" I'll let them go if I can keep you." Darriss smirked at me.
" Lauren." Jason said looking at me.
You can do this Lauren. Stop running away from fear. You cant beat him. He cant control you anymore. I let go of jasons hand.
" I got this." I mouthed to Jason walking towards darriss.
" hmm." Darriss looked at me.
" darriss I'm gonna untie them, and you and have me, deal?" I said to darriss.
" deal." He said focusing his eyes on me.
I walked over and mr.joe whispered.
" you don't have to do this."
" I know what I'm doing." I whispered as I got the knot undone and they were free.
Just then fredo and Brandon walked in.
Everyone was staring at me.
I looked back at Jason and nodded.
Jason then nodded to fredo and Brandon telling them get ready.
I then walked back over to darriss.
" oh how I've missed you." Darriss said as he put his hand around my back.
Goosebumps went through my body.
" shh." I put my finger over his lips.
" maybe we should go." Darriss said as I put my hands on his cheeks giving him permission to kiss me.
" actually I was thinking differently." Right then I snapped his neck, just so he won't die but enough to knock him out.
" now!" I turned around to fredo and Brandon.
They both shot at darriss's guys and they fell to the ground.
" oh i can not wait till i can actually kill you. " i whispered knowing he couldnt hear.
" tie him up Brandon, fredo he's going in the car with you, we have some things to ask him. Where's ari?" Jason asked.
We heard three shots and I looked up at Jason.
" right here." She walked out the room spinnnig her gun on her finger.
"what the hell was that ariana?" Brandon asked. "couple of darriss's dudes. I took care of them." Ariana said.
" don't plant the bomb, we got our mission target. " Jason said walking over to joe.
" Jason I'm so sorry, I had no clue about this. I can't believe him!" Joe said in shock.
" it's okay joe, is everyone okay?" Jason looked at Macy and Sanya.
" yeah."
" okay well we have business to take care of." Jason said as he turned around and walked towards me.
" we should go." He took my hand.
" meet you guys back at the house." Jason said as he led me outside.
" come on." He says as he sees two cars pull into the parking lot.
" wait Jason get down! That's nick and denote!" I said ducking.
" go through Joanne's yard, go!" Jason said as he held my hand and led me. We ran back to his car and he took off.
We saw Brandon's car behind us a distance, and fredos leaving Joanne's house.
Jason texted Brandon then put his phone down.
He took a turn onto a unfamiliar street then parked.
" Jason what are we doing."
" what you did back there was impressive." Jason said facing me.
" I was scared." I said truthfully.
" you don't have to be scared, I was right there. I believed in you. Even though I didn't like him touching you, I knew you knew what you were doing." Jason said leaning over to me.
" I know but at the moment it was happening it seemed like it was just him and I, like he had total control again. Like if he wanted to kill me he could. Like you weren't there along with fredo and Brandon. And like... I might... Lose you... Again." I said looking up at him.
" come here." He opened the car door and i met him at the hood of his car. He sat on the car but i thought, better not, id probably get a scratch on it.
" Everything you just said. It's switched around. You had total control this time. You could've killed him at anytime. We were all there, and we all had your back. And you. You won't ever lose me princess." Jason said as he put his arms around my back locking them so I was secure, and i rested my arms on his shoulders.
" you promise?" I asked as I leaned my forehead against his closing my eyes.
" I promise." Jason said as his lips met mine.
When his lips interlocked with mine it felt like all my worries were being washed away. It felt like if I did this for the rest of my life I would be perfectly fine. Ever since I've been with him, yes I've been through some injuries but he was always there to comfort me, but I have been living a better life. Like everything that has ever been wrong with me is actually acceptable when in my old life everything was unacceptable from everyone for anything I did. Jason is the second person who understands me. My mom was the other. They really resemble each other, in the way they treat me and they way they talk.
" we should get going." I said breaking away from the kiss.
" I guess, now it's time to deal with the fuck up." Jason said stroking my cheek.
" yeah." jason hopped off the car and walked around to the drivers seat.
Jason's phone started ringing and it was fredo.
" can you answer it? I don't want to talk and drive." Jason asked handing me the phone.
" yeah."
" hello?" I answered.
" hey Lauren, tell Jason that darriss is waking up, we are at the house. We are gonna put him in the bottom room." Fredo said.
" okay I'll tell him."
" where are you guys?"
" we umm took a wrong turn..." I said looking over at him.
" mhmm see you guys soon, bye." Fredo laughed.
" he's mysterious about us." I laughed as I locked his phone.
" what else did he say?" Jason laughed.
"Oh umm darriss I guess is starting to wake up, and that they are gonna put him in the bottom room."
" Kay, we are almost back at the house." Jason said as he put a hand on my thigh and drove with the other hand.
I put my hand above his and looked over at him and smiled.
It was a quiet ride home, but a nice quiet not a awkward one.
" he's up now." Ariana said as we walked in.
" do you want to come with me?" Jason asked standing in front of me.
" ya." I nodded and bit my lip.
" he's tied in a chair, he shouldn't be able to attack." Ariana said as I put my gun on the counter Jason did the same.
" let's go." I held Jason's hand and we walked together to the stairs and walked down. Fredo was leading us.
" he's in the room. If you need help call me in." Fredo said.
" we won't need help bro, but thanks." Jason looked down at me.
" ready?"
" yeah." I nodded.
Jason opened the door and there revealed a vulnerable yet angered darriss.
" you're such a bitch." He said towards me.
" thank you." I smiled and glared at him.
" darriss, oh darriss. You probably know what's in your future. But first things first, we are gonna get some things straight." Jason said pacing around.
" ugh here we go with story time." Darriss said.
" one. This is my girl. My Girl. Not yours. You tend to think she's yours but she will never ever be yours." Jason said as I walked over to him and he put a arm around my waist and kissed my cheek.
" you think that." Darriss said as Jason tenses up.
" don't let him get to you, it's way to early." I whispered in his ear.
" darriss. I have a simple question. Why have you been , taunting, my girlfriend for the past 2 weeks?" Jason asked as he started to pace around again.
" well one I mean look at her, she's hot as fuck. And two, someone needed punishment for what happened to jake. And I heard from around the block it was little miss Lauren who did it." He looked over at me. " finally 3, i wanted to see if keeping her safe was a nice challenge for you jason."
" he deserved it." I looked dead straight into his eyes not giving jason time to talk.
" like you would know. All you did was lie and cheat him out."
" you have things a little mixed around." I said sassily.
" jake completely lied to me. He never told me about all this gang shit he was in. He never told me that if we were going to break up he would try killing me. He left me right when my mother died of cancer. And you're going to tell me I cheated and lied to him? " I said starting to get upset.
" jakes not the only guy who has ever lied to you." Darriss said as he tried getting out of the chair but he was tied pretty good.
" what the hell do you mean?" I asked pacing around.
" ask Jason. He's one of them." Darriss said.
I turned around and looked at him.
" he's been lying to you since day one. He said he was your "stalker" yet he knew you way before you knew he did. Ask him. Ask him how he knows so much about your mother?" Darriss said.
" darriss shut the hell up." Jason
Yelled.
" oh looks like you haven't told her yet...Jason." Darriss said.
" Jason." I looked over at him.
" oooo looks like your game is over." Darriss said just then Jason attacked him.
On the ground Jason continuously punched him.
Fredo came running in and pulled Jason off him.
Darriss was dead.
" Jason." I rose my voice.
He looked over at me and left out the room quickly.
" give him a second." Fredo stopped me from leaving.
" do you know what this is all about!?" I asked.
" talk to Jason." Fredo said as he let me go.
I left the room and walked upstairs.
Ariana looked frightened and Brandon just looked at me.
" where is he?" I asked.
" your room" Brandon pointed.
I walked past them and upstairs. The door was closed.
I took a deep breathe a walked in.
He was pacing around.
" jay." I walked over to him.
" I'm sorry! She made me promise not to tell you!"
