[Max]
"..ax" I hear someone calling.
"Max..baby.." I slowly open my eyes to see Silas holding a tray of delicious looking food.
"Good Morning baby.." He said, sitting next to me on our bed. New word. Our. I know..I wouldn't have even thought I would say those words 4 months before now. But here I am, with Silas, my mate, waking up in our room, seeing him bringing me what looks like breakfast in bed. It was absolute heaven.
"H- hey..good morning.." I've grown accustom to speaking a lot now, and Kai helped me with that. He also gave me some confidence which is something he was always good at. Last night, over dinner, we all got to know each other, and this pack, now my pack, has welcomed me with much love, especially my mate.
"Baby..are you okay? you're zoning out." Silas said, oop- he must've noticed.
"Yea I'm okay..I was just thinking how much my life has changed for the better."
"Aww good. I'm so happy you're adjusting well here." He said. Silas was the type to speak softly, even though he looks the opposite of that, he's very caring and charming.
"I- I know..I'm glad though..K helped me along with everyone else.."
"I'm glad to hear that. You've got a fun and big day ahead of you..sooo time to eat up! I made breakfast Quesadillas for you!" He cooks too?! Ugh. My mate can't get any more perfect.
"Oh my god!! it looks so goodd..thank you b- b- babes." It was my first time calling someone a sweet name. And it wasn't just someone. It was my mate too...so I didn't really know how to say it.
"Awww you called me babes..I love it. And I'm proud of you. I lov-" He got interrupted by someone calling him.
"Okay I'll be right there Asher just let me say goodbye to my beautiful mate..bye now!" He said, and I couldn't help but to giggle at his fun goofy side.
"You're so cute baby...now I got to go. Make sure you finish your breakfast. I filled the closet to the right with clothes this morning when I got up, all your size, so just choose something you like to wear, have fun but be safe! Oh- and remember to give me a call if anything happens. Oh and also-"
"Silasssss...its okay...I got it babe...remember I have Apsen and Kai too..and I will, okay?" He's sometimes like a father..but with a bad boy exterior.
"Oh..I was just about to say I love you.." He says with a pout.
"Aww okie okie, I love you too." I respond back, I kind of felt like Kai. I was getting really comfortable here, and I was recovering from my past trauma too. So, I could finally be myself, the sarcastic, fun-loving guy is back!
"Okayyy. Welp bye love see ya." He said kissing my forehead before leaving. Ugh his cologne or scent, probably scent, spelled so good, it was addicting.
I then looked at the time, - 9:30am - it read, I need to hurry, so I'm going to finish eating my breakfast, take a shower, get ready, and head out.
[Kai]
I felt something poking my cheek, and I groaned not wanting to be waken up, but I knew I had a fun day ahead with my best friends so I decided to open my eyes.
"HOLY SHI-" I screamed panting, Asher really needs to stop scaring me.
"Finallllyy you're awake. How was your sleep, sleepy head?" He said ruffling my hair as I got into a sitting position.
"Not good with you poking my cheek!" I said, acting like I was mad.
"Awww baby, sorry, I had to wake you up somehow..or did you.." he said, lifting my chin to face him, "want me to kiss you..?" He said smirking with a playful manner, getting really close to my lips.
"Ewwwww nooo, nope, neverrr!!" I said moving away from him playfully.
He chuckled and said, "Alright..Fine..fine! I made some breakfast for you but I left it on the stove with a cover on it cause I didn't want it to get cold. Love you! But I have Alpha things to do, so you have fun ok?"
"Okay..thanks and I love you too..I wish you could come with us.." I said frowning a little.
"Aww love don't worry there are plenty more days to come where we will have our own little fun," he said a wink "but I have to go now see ya bye." He said kissing me quickly before he left leaving me flustered and sadly, way too flustered.
[Aspen]
I was so comfortable right now I didn't want to move, but all good things come to end. I felt a feather lightly touching my face, literally. It went to my forehead, lips, nose, eyes. Then I felt my covers coming off. Nooooo!
Then I felt the feather lightly touching my neck...and that did it. I bursted out laughing. I was EXTREMELY ticklish, especially around my neck area.
"Well that did the job!" I heard someone say, Benji, I knew it!! He's going to get it!!
I launched myself at him making both him and I tumbling onto the floor, making me on top of him. "OWWW!" Benji screamed. Payback!
I giggled and said, "pay back Ben!" then he flipped us over, "Oh no you dont!" Then he started tickling me all over. "HEHE..ST- .... STOPP...HEHHE...ST-" He then stopped, and I finally calmed down, then I noticed he was looking at me, and I couldn't help but look back at him.
His eyes were so....so beautiful even if they were just blue, they were just...beautiful. They held the galaxies and pulled me in. I blinked out of my trance. God his mate would be so lucky...
"you'll know soon Aspen..soon." Caspian, my wolf, said. What would I know soon?
"Ahem...uhhh...anyways..I'm gonna get payback Asp! But c'mon breakfast is waiting, you have fun today ok? Make sure to text. I got to go now see ya Asp!" He said giving me a hug.
"I will, see ya, bye Ben!" I waved him off then he left. Time to get ready!
- 1 1/2 hour later -
As I made my downstairs I see Kai and Max waiting for me. It was only the second day we've gotten to known each other so I hope this trip will get us all more together. I secretly really want this friendship to happen because we have a lot in common, and because we all get along so good.
"Hey guys!" I said.
"Hey!" Kai said.
"Hey-hey!" Max said.
"Did you guys already have breakfast?" I asked, after Ben had left I had mine.
"Ye." Kai said.
"Yup." Max said.
"Alrighty, welllll, this will be fun! Let's go, follow me." I said then we left the pack house. We all shifted, and I took off, they started chasing me and following me at the same time.
Then I was tackled to see Max and Kai wolf grinning at me. I just did a wolf grin and we continued.
[Kai]
After about 10 more minutes of running Aspen slowed down, he mind linked us to shift and so we did.
Then she started walking, there was a wall of leaves blocking us, I was about ask Aspen where we were going then he used his angel powers and pushed the leaves apart.
We walked in and the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen was infront of me-
It was a secluded stream with crystal clear blue water. To the sides laid trees that formed an arch all the way down the stream. The sun was shining through them making the water glisten even more. There were beautiful rounded rocks on the bottom on the mesmerizing stream that held a curve. That was absolutely magical. You could hear the birds that sung their songs in a beautiful melody.
"Hell nah! The most beautiful scenery is Asher, that yummy lookin snack.
"Onyx would you calm down you perverted wolf." I said rolling my eyes.
"So..guys..what do you think?" Aspen spoke up.
"Omgggggg I love itttt, we could definitely do some best-friend bonding here!" Max said, he was always like that, so bubbly and cute, but I haven't been able to see that side in a long time; I missed it.
"Yas, me too, it's so pretty!" I said.
"Great! Now c'mon boys strip!" Aspen said then we all took off our clothes except our swimming shorts.
After we stripped we slowly went into the water, "The water is so warm...omgg I love it!" Max said.
"Yup now-" Well..guess who interrupted him...ME! I splashed water on him, and his face had payback written all over it.
"Heyyy!" He said, then he splashed water on me, Max was giggling the whole entire time, "Okay..okay c'mon guys...well...don't we get to know one another?" Max said.
"Yes I agree." Aspen said.
"Well..why don't we start with, how did you guys find this place?" I said. It was quite the scenery, and it's extremely hidden.
"Well after our mom died, Asher and I were not having the best time of our lives...especially my dad. I mean life wasn't the same without her anymore..so we needed to move on because we all knew mom wouldn't have wanted us to be this way. She'd want us to be happy so, that's EXACTLY what Asher and I set out to do."
"I'm so sorry Aspen..." Max said.
"Same here. Trust me, i- i- know what it's like having your parents leave you from this world.." I say. Though he didn't say anything because he probably didn't want to bring it up if I wasn't comfortable.
"..thanks guys. So yea, Asher and I set out to find something. We didn't know what exactly we were looking for, we just knew we wanted to find something. We kept looking and as we were walking through this same forest one day, we saw a wall of flowers and leaves. Asher asked if I wanted to see what was behind it. I just said yes even though I was positive there was nothing behind it. But seems I was wrong, after he pulled the leaves apart this place showed up!"
"Wow..this is so beautiful though..I'm glad you guys found it." I said.
"Yup me too..I love it, it's so peaceful." Max said, it was actually calming.
"Great I'm glad you guys like it but there's more, after Asher and I found it, we named it...Zales. I know it's pretty boring, but it stands for 'sea-strength' and at that time, this place was special and it actually gave us strength. There's more to this place though..I'll show you guys..c'mon."
With that we swam to the unknown other part of Zales.
