I love the distorted Emperor's New Clothes memes so much-
(This was on Far Too Young To Die)
I just found this ironic- also the channel I found that on has some good/funny videos.
I've actually got a somewhat funny story about how I got into it...
It was the summer of 2001, and-
Pfft please, I wasn't even born yet in 2001. Basically what happened, I was maybe 10? And heard some P!ATD song on the radio. I was like oh, they sound pretty good! So a few days later, up in my room, I told my Alexa to play songs by Panic! At The Disco. The first song that came on was Miss Jackson...I loved it. 10 year old me was listening to Miss Jackson, and whenever he would swear I distinctly remember clapping so my parents wouldn't hear it, I mean it probably brought more attention to what was going on in my room but ANYWAYS!
I was also super into Imagine Dragons at that time, (The Evolve album was the first album I ever bought, I remember that day so well and it's the most nostalgic thing for me) and everybody around me knew it. If you had met me for 5 minuets, I would've asked if you liked Imagine Dragons...I'm like that with Panic! now but anyways- we were driving back from a Savannah (Georgia) Trip (this was when I was in Girl Scouts) and Whatever It Takes came on.
My best friend turns, points at me, and says "SHE CAN SING THIS!" so, of course, I do. It was chaotic and it was great-- anyways. The radio switched to a commercial break and the driver reached for the turny dial thing to change the station. I say something along the lines of "If High Hopes or Saturday Night comes on, I'll scream!" As she's changing it. Around five seconds later she found a station where the guy was just wrapping up saying whatever it was before the next song started playing.
Guess what song they had queued up.
High Hopes.
I made good on my promise and screamed.
And that, everybody, is how I knew I picked the right bandoms.
