Ryuji POV
The rest of my flight I look out the window while occasionally napping and listening to the mix that Jiro gave me. Eventually, I see America start for appear from the clouds.
"Let's hope I don't regret my decision because there's no going back now" I say
The plane lands and I get off. I'm then greeted by a bunch of people in suits. Luckily I know how to speak fluent English.
"This looks like I'm about to be arrested by the FBI" I say while stepping off the plane
"I'm guessing that you're Ryuji Takashi" I hear someone say
I look and see this guy wearing sunglasses with pure white slicked back hair.
"That's my name. Who might you be, Jack Frost?" I ask
"You're definitely him. You'll find out who I am once the whole team is together" he's says
"He didn't deny it" I think
We get into a car and I'm driven into New York.
"So, where exactly are we going?" I ask
"You'll find out when we get there" the guy says
"Am I the first one to arrive? Or have any other of my teammates got here before me?" I ask
"You're the third one to arrive" he says
"Damn, I'm normally always first. Then again, one of my teammates live in America so it's not surprising that they probably got here before me. But all the other ones were also from other countries so I thought that maybe I would at least be second-" I get cut off
"I'm going to have to ask you to stop rambling" the guy says
"That was a nice way to say shut up" I respond
Eventually, we make it to this small building.
"This is the base? It's quiet the fixer upper" I say
"Just get inside" the guy says
I follow the man inside and when we enter we make our way to an elevator.
"I can only image what kind of place this elevator will take me too" I say
The guy pushes the a button and the elevator starts to move. Eventually the door opens and I can say that I'm pretty impressed.
"Damn, so this so one of those secret bases that powerful organizations have" I say
"This is where you and I depart for now, another agent will take you too where your other team members are" the guy says as he closes the elevator door
Like he said, another agent comes and guides me too a room. He leaves and I open the door.
"You're second in command has arrived!" I say while entering the room
"So you're Ryuji Takashi. I'm Logan, it's nice to meet you" Logan introduces himself and gives me a handshake
"It's nice to meet you too. I came here all the way from Japan so it makes me feel better that I already like one of my teammates" I say while returning the handshake
"You've got a strong grip" he says
"Probably because I use my hands a lot" I say
I look around for my other teammates and I see Nadia sitting on a couch.
"You must be Nadia Ivanov. Do you prefer first or last names?" I ask
She doesn't say anything.
"Strong silent type, huh? Well, I'm sure you'll warm up to me in no time" I say
"So Ryuji, I hear that you're an excellent engineer" Logan says
"Excellent does even begin to describe me" I say
"It's kinda weird to ask something like this already, but could you take a look at my bow and see if there is anything that could be changed or upgraded?" He asks
"Why the hell not. You need anything looked at, Nadia?" I ask
She still remains silent.
"I'll take that as a maybe" I say
I take a look at Logan's bow while we wait for the rest of the members to arrive.
"HAHAHA!" We hear laughter as the door bursts open
I look at the door and see a very tall blond man.
"You must be Kristoffer Hansen" I say while Logan and I go up to him
"It's a pleasure to meet my newest companions" he says
"Logan Davis, pleasure to meet you" Logan says while holding out his hand
Kristoffer shakes his hand and then pull him in for a hug.
"Ryuji Takashi, the notes weren't lying when they said you were friendly" I say while holding out my hand
He shakes my hand and gives me a hug too.
"Quite the grip you have" he says
"Is it really that strong?" I ask while looking at my hand
"I'm guessing that the lass on the couch is Nadia Ivanov" he says
"Pretty sure she is. She hasn't said a word this whole time. She even beat me here and I live in America!" Logan says
"I'm sure that she'll brighten up" Kristoffer says
"I feel like she already is" I say
We all continue to chat as we wait for the rest of the members. Eventually we hear a knock on the door.
"Is this the room with my teammates?" We hear a voice ask
"Come in lad! No need to be shy!" Kris says
He lets me call him Kris for short.
The door opens and I see Yami walk in. He closes the door behind him and comes up to us.
"It's nice to meet you all. I hope that we can all come to work well as a team" he says while bowing to us
"No need to be so formal here lad" Kris says while patting Yami's back
"Yeah, we're all the same age here" Logan says
"It's not like we're gonna attack you or something. Well, Nadia might but I'm sure she's fine" I say
We all introduce ourselves to Yami and he seems a bit calmer now.
"I'm glad that this is not as tense as I thought it would be" Yami says
"I'm glad to see that my team has finally all arrived" I hear a familiar voice say
We all look over to the door and I see Cap standing there.
"Long time no see" I say while walking up to him
"How've you been?" He asks while shaking my hand
"Just prepping for when I can finally kick your ass again" I say
"Eh that's not how I remember our last fight going" he says
"You must have some memory problems then" I smirk
Cap introduces himself to the rest of the team.
"Have you been here the whole time or something?" Logan asks
"I got here yesterday. It's my obligation as leader to make sure all my members are here and ready" Cap says
"Well now that we are all together, what do we do now Mr.Leader Man?" I ask
"We are to report to room 102 and wait for further introductions" Cap says
We all follow behind Cap as he leads us to room 102.
"So Nadia, you gonna keep up this quiet act you've got going on for the entire month?" I ask her
"я не могу говорить по английски..." she says kinda quietly
(I can not speak English...)
Lucky for her, I'm able to speak Russian.
"Я могу сделать вас переводчиком, пока вы не научитесь полностью говорить по-английски" I offer her
(I can make you a translator until you learn to speak English completely)
She looks at me surprised.
"Ты можешь говорить на русском?" She asks
(You can speak Russian?)
"I'm able to speak many languages. Let's just say that I had a lot of free time as a kid" I say
"Я был бы признателен за помощь..." she says embarrassed
(I would appreciate help)
"Look alive everyone" Cap says as we enter the room
We enter the room and Cap has us line up.
"Looks like everyone has finally arrived" the guy with the white hair says as he steps into the room
"Hey look, it's Jack Frost" I say
Nadia then hits me upside the head.
"Молчи!" She says
(Be quiet!)
I rub the back of my head and shut my mouth.
"Geez, talk about being a stick in the mud" I think
"I'm sure that you're all wondering who I am. My name is Agent Frost and I am in charge of this organization" He says
"I knew it!" I shout in my mind
"You all have been chosen because of one thing. You all are some of the best of the best out there. For this entire month, you will be sent out on 4 separate missions that will take place around the world. You will have a set amount of days to prepare until the day of the mission" Frost explains
"Why did you choose us first years? I'm sure that there are plenty of pro heroes or even people in higher grades that could have worked" I ask
"Because you all are moldable. Pro heroes and higher grades already have a set mindset, while you first years are still fresh and still working out how you operate" he says
"I guess that makes sense" I say
"I don't like it waste time so if nobody else has anymore questions I'll tell you about your first mission" Frost says
I open my mouth to say something but Nadia gives me a look so I decide not to.
"You're first mission will be a sort of test trial. You all are tasked to take down a fake group of villains in the upper part of America. You will have 3 days to prepare starting now" Frost says as he leaves the room
"I'll show you all to where we'll be staying for the next month" Cap says
We follow Cap and he leads us to a room that reminds me of the common room at U.A...
"What's wrong Ryuji? You are looking a bit down my friend" Kris says
"How can I be looking down when I have to look up just to look at your eyes?" I sarcastically ask
"Hahaha! That's a good one my friend!" Kris says while patting my back
"This will be our common area. I'll show you around the rest of the facility tomorrow since I'm sure that you all are pretty tired from your flights" Cap says
"Where's the workshop?" I ask
"You have one in your room" Cap responds
"Come on Nadia, let's go and make you a translator" I say
I go to the room that has my name on it. I open the door and see what's basically a smaller version of my room back at U.A. Except without all my cool stuff...and without Toru...
"Еще раз спасибо за вашу помощь" Nadia says
(Thanks again for your help)
"It's not a problem, since you can understand English already this will be a lot easier" I say as I get to work
"Ты немного лучше, чем я думал" she says
(You're a little better than I thought)
"And you're a lot less scary" I respond
"Я мог бы быть страшным, если бы хотел" she says
(I could be scary if I wanted to)
"I don't doubt that. I know your backstory" I say
She then freezes.
"Don't worry, it's not like you're the only one with a bad backstory. Let's just say that Yami had a bit of an incident when he discovered his quirk" I say
"Я не ценю, что вы заглядываете в наши фоны" she says
(I don't appreciate you peeking into our backgrounds)
"You expect me to not try and find out stuff about complete strangers I'm gonna be with for a month?" I ask
"Это не делает это нормально" she says
(It doesn't make it ok)
"Like I said, I won't tell anyone. I'm sure you two have been through enough" I say
"Спасибо" she says
(Thanks)
"I know what it's like to be treated differently just because of who you are" I say
She smiles and I finish up the translator.
"I made it look like one of those chokers that girls wear so that it doesn't stick out as much" I say while handing it to her
She puts it on and speaks.
"Thanks for your help" she says
She gets a little freaked out by how well it works.
"How does this thing work?" She asks
"Do you really want me to explain all the technical stuff that you probably won't understand?" I ask
She thinks for a moment.
"Not really" she says
"Good, because I don't either" I say
We leave my room and we head back to the common room where the rest of the team is waiting for us.
"Looks like the lovebirds are finally back!" Kris says
"Woah there! I'm taken man" I say
"I'm here strictly for work" Nadia says
"Come on you two! Lighten up a bit" Logan says
"Oh I'm about as light as you can be. Have you not seen my glowing chest?" I say
"What is that, if you don't mind me asking?" Cap asks
"Well Cap, it's what currently keeping me alive. There are pieces of shrapnel inside my body that are slowly making their way towards my heart. This arc reactor I made is currently keeping the shrapnel from moving until I can figure out a way to get it out" I explain
"Please call me Steven" Cap says
"I'll think about it" I respond
"You're still doing hero work in a state like that...what a true warrior" Kris says with a tear in his eye
"You remind me of one of my classmates back in Japan" I say
"Shouldn't you be prioritizing getting the shrapnel out so that you can focus on hero work more easily?" Nadia asks
"Hero work waits for nobody" I respond
"Now that these two are back, let's spend some time getting to know each other and strengthening our team's bond" Cap says
"How do we do that?" Yami asks
"We party of course!" Kris yells
"Hell yeah!" Logan and I shout
"Bring out the ale!" Kris shouts
"We will not be having ale" Cap says
"Lame!" I say
"I guess we should start with formally introducing ourselves" Nadia says
"You go first then" I say
We all go around fully introducing ourselves and telling somethings about ourselves.
"Ryuji! Me and you need to arm wrestle! Your technology against my strength!" Kris suddenly shouts
"You're so fucked" I say
"Language!" Cap says
We all just give him a look...
"Anyways...Is this really necessary?" Nadia asks
"You wouldn't understand" Logan says
I quickly put on one of my suit's gloves and head back to the common room.
"You're hero name is based after the god of thunder right? Well let's see how your god like strength will go up against my technology" I say as Kris and I interlock our hands
"Ready...set...go!" Logan shouts
"This'll be easy" I think
I then feel a massive amount of pressure on my suit's glove. Evening feeling a sort of dent form in it. And soon enough, Kris is able to slam my hand onto the table.
"My glove!" I shout
I look at my glove and sure enough, there's a small dent in it.
"Hahaha! Nice try, but I can beat your technology any day!" Kris says
"I'll get in on this" Cap says
I switch places with Cap and they do their thing while I walk over to Nadia and Logan.
"Your manly pride damaged?" Nadia asks
"No but my glove is" I respond
"You'll be fine, you can just fix it" she says
"If it makes you feel any better, Kris told me that he has a bit of strength enchantment quirk from his father's side" Logan says
"Damn strength enhancement quirks" I say
"Half of this team has them" Nadia says
"What we lack in physical strength, we make up for in skill" Logan says
"It would be a whole new story if I was in my suit" I sulk
"Keep telling yourself that" Nadia says
"Are those two still going?!" Logan asks
We look and Cap and Kris and see that they are still trying to beat the other.
"You really are a worthy opponent" Kris says
"You're not so bad yourself" Cap responds
"I don't think this is going anywhere so let's just call it a draw" Yami says
They both then let go and start to breathe heavily.
"Come on Cap, I even weakened him down!" I say
"I could never be weakened down!" Kris says
We have a bit more fun before we all head to our rooms for the night.
"Sigh...I never thought that someone like me would get homesick..." I say
Toru POV
I'm just sitting in class as Mr.Aizawa goes over a training exercise that we are gonna do tomorrow.
"I wonder what Ryu is up too" I think
All of a sudden "Back In Black" starts to play loudly on my phone.
"Hagakure...who is it?" Aizawa asks
"It's Ryuji...this is his favorite song" I embarrassedly say as I pull my phone out
"Sigh...You know what, I'm in somewhat of a good mood so I'll let you answer it as long as it's on speaker" Aizawa says
"Thank you Mr.Aizawa!" The class says
I answer the phone and put it on speaker.
"Hey Ryu" I say
"Hey Toru. I'm gonna guess that your phone is on speaker since you should be in class right now" He says
"Hello Takashi!" Mina says
"Do you all miss me already?" He asks
"Hagakure sure does, she hasn't stopped moping around since you left" Sero says
"Sh-Shut up!" I say
"Well there is still a whole month so I expect you to still do your best" Ryuji says
"I will" I say
"What's it like over there in America?" Kirishima asks
"Japan is a lot nicer. You know Kirishima, one of my teammates remind me a lot like you" Ryuji says
"What's he like?" Kirishima asks
"He's kinda like a stronger version of Kamimari" he says
"That's unnecessary" Kaminari sulks
"He also has a bit of a strength enhancement quirk. He put a dent in one of my suit's gloves if that helps you see how strong he is" he explains
"What about your other teammates? What are their quirks?" Midoriya asks as he gets out his notebook
"The leader of my team is that guy I told you all about during our provisional license exams" Ryuji says
"You did say that he was really strong" Sato says
"There is also this guy named Logan, he's pretty chill. His quirk is call Deadeye which is pretty self explanatory" Ryuji says
Midoriya start to furiously write down in his notebook.
"Then there is Yami. He's kinda awkward at times but I'm able to have an intellectual conversation with him so I don't mind. His quirk is called Berserk, which whenever he's angry, he turns into this huge monster thing" Ryuji explains
"He sounds super strong!" Kirishima says
"And finally there's Nadia and oh boy, let me tell you, she's kinda of a stick in the mud but she can also be pretty cool. Her quirk is called Silent Step which is also pretty self explanatory" he says
"Is she hot?!" Kaminari and Mineta asks
"Um...whatever answer I give I'll lose Toru points so I'm just gonna not answer that" he says
"Come on! I'm sure that Hagakure wouldn't mi-" I give Mineta and Kaminari an angry look
They can't see my face but I'm sure they got the message since they cower back in fear.
"Told you" Ryuji says
I then give the phone a look.
"I just got a shudder down my back" Ryuji says
"What will you all be doing, ribbit?" Tsu asks
"To boil it down, we'll be going around the world doing whatever M.I.H.O tells us to do" he says
"That sounds really cool!" Kirishima exclaims
"In three days we'll be taking down a fake group of villains as a test" He says
"Start to say your goodbyes" Mr.Aizawa says
The class says their goodbye to Ryuji.
"Before you make Toru hang up, can I tell her something in private?" Ryuji asks
"Sigh...Make it quick" Mr.Aizawa says
"No listening Jiro!" Ryuji says
"I won't" Kyoka responds
I turn off speaker mode and put the phone to my ear. Ryuji tells me what he wants to and then quickly hangs up. I then start to massively blush and I put my hands to my face.
"Uh...what did he say?" Kirishima asks
"Nothing!" I shout
Ryuji POV
I set my phone down and start to work on some things that I wanna make my teammates. Eventually I get tired and head to bed.
"You know...this isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I miss everyone in Class 1-A but these people are also pretty cool" I think as I fall asleep...
