Nightwing walked into the mountain on the phone talking to someone. For once in their lives everyone went quite while Nightwing talked. No one knew who he was talking to but it looked to be important
"Ok well while you do that I will be looking for the other person.....I got some leads on where to look but so far no.... He would be a good place to start but I dont suggest going there by yourself... I will be home in like 5 hours....well go complain to B he is the one that assigns the missions not me.... You know you are going to have to talk to him at somepoint...Ok whatever see you later" Nightwing said and then hung up
"What was that about my friend" Kaldur asked
"Oh nothing, just a personal mission is all" Nightwing explained
"Any way we could help with that personal mission of your" Kaldur asked
"Unless you want to see him kis" Batgirl started to say before Nightwing Gib slapped her
"No, me and my partner can handle it, but thanks anyways"Nightwing said
"What were you trying to say Batgirl" Artemis asked
Nightwing glared at her warning her not to say anything or else he was going to do something she didnt like. Batgirl caught the glare and decided that she liked her life and A's cookies
"Nothing, dont worry about it" Batgirl said
Artemis looked at her questionally but didnt press about it. Nightwing just sat down and watched tv, but after a while he dug out his phone and started to text someone. Everyone was curious about who he was texting since all of his friends are in the room and they knew Bats was on a mission in space. What suprised them most was the he was smileing and giggling
"Ok anyone else curious about was is going on with Nightwing, he is giggling like a school girl when she has a crush" Megan asked
"This doesnt have Nightwing, Batgirl, or Robin in it right Megs" Zatanna asked
"No the arent here its, so does anyone know what is going on" Megan said
"I have no clue, I have never seen Wing like this before" Wally said
"Does he have a girlfriend" Cass asked
"Not that I know of, His last on was Batgirl and he hasnt dated since" Wally said
"Then what is going on" Connor asked
They would have continued to talk in the mind link but they were all called to the mission room
"Ok team you are going on mission in Bludheaven. Now you will be going to take care of a few villions Nightwing is in charge for this mission since he knows most about Buldheaven, if anything happens, which it shouldnt but if something does then Batgirl is in charge and then Robin. Some other villions might show up if they do then make sure you listen to Nightwing on what to do. You leave in 5 minuets any questions" Black Canary said
"Yeah, Why are they coming to Bludheaven" Nightwing asked kinda angry
"They are going because the city needs help and they have nothing better going on" BC said
"Bludheaven doesnt need help, there is a reason for everything that is going on" Nightwing growled
"Would you like to explain the reason then" BC asked
Nightwing was quite but everyone could tell he was mad. No one knew why he was mad though not even the Bats looked like they knew what was wrong with him. To the team they were just going on a mission to a different city like usual
"Ok with that, you guys need to get going" Black canary said
The team all piled into the bio ship. Nightwing was on his phone texting someone. He directed Megan where to land not looking up once from his phone. The team was getting worried he was going to be on his phone the whole time but once they landed he put his phone away and walked out. The rest of the team followed waiting for intructions, but Nightwing was just standing there not saying anything
"Umm.. Nightwing shouldnt you give us something to instead of just standing here" Aqualad asked
Nightwing still didnt answer he just stood there. Even the rest of the bats were getting worried since this isnt what he usually did on missions
"I was wondering when you were going to show up" Nightwing suddenly said out of the blue
The team was confused on who was talking to until a guy in armor that was half orange and half black. The team knew who it was instenally and got into battle stances waiting for orders on what to do. They were all confused when Nightwing never gave them an order to take him down, when they looked back at him they saw that Nightwing wasnt in a fighting stance
"Stand down" Nightwing said
"What, but Wing he is a villion we need to take him down" Kid Flash said
"I said to stand down" Nightwing said with more force
The team got out of fighting stances even though they didnt want to. Slade walked up to Nightwing and stood beside him. Nightwing and him could feel the team tensing once Slade was right next to Nightwing
"So what are you and the team doing here" Slade asked
"B thought that this city needed help getting rid of the villions roaming around" Nightwing said
"Doesnt he know that most of this is on purpose" Slade asked
"No, I havnt told him about this. Thats why we are just standing here and not dealing with the problems here" Nightwing said
"haha, you should really tell him about this place and the people living in it. One person espeally" Slade said
"Yeah thats not happening. Its not my place to tell him about that, He has to tell him himself" Nightwing said
"Ok what is going on, first you didnt want us to even come here for some odd reason. Second when we do get here we dont even move from the bio ship. Third Slade a known merc shows up and you tell us to stand down and now you are talking to him like its nothing. Fourth who is this person you didnt tell Batman about. What is with all the secrects" Artemis asked annoyed
Nightwing just looked at her, Slade was trying not to laugh. Nightwing was about to respond when there was an explostion in the distance. I turned to it and looked at it confused and then a look of anger came over him
"Oh Im so going to kill him tonight" Nightwing said and then jumped off the roof and started to run in the direction of the explostion
The team was confused but they followed him. When they got there they could see that there was a battle going on between a group and one person with a red helment and brown leather jacket
"Ok Artemis, Aqualad, Kid, and Superboy you guys go and deal with the people over there, make sure none of them escape. Megan, Batgirl, Robin, and Zatanna go to the other side and do the same thing. If anyone escapes then send the faster person on your team to go after them, no one can make it out" Nightwing orderd
"What about you my friend" Aqualad asked
"Me and Slade are going to go and take care of the boss with Hood, now go no more questions"
Everyone ran to where they were supposed to go. They all started to fight and by the time they were done fighting and makeing sure none of the bad guys got away they were all tired and breathing heavy. Well everyone but Nightwing, Slade, and Red Hood those there were just standing there talking amongst themselfs
"How...Are you no....not of breath" Robin asked
"Easy, we do this all of the time and plus training. You have training from Batman how are you out of breath" Slade asked
"Becuase our fights done last that long, plus... Bat does the most work" Robin said
"Oh yeah he took all the glory, glad I got out from under him" Red Hood said
"Speaking of you why the heck did you blow it up early. The plan was to wait till I could come and help out" Nightwing yelled at Red Hood
"Uh oh, Someones in trouble" Slade said backing up
"You took to long, and plus I got bored" Red Hood said
"So watch TV or something, you went against the plan. I swear Im going to kill you" Nightwing yelled
"Well that would be hard to do since you know" Red said back
At that Nightwing takeled him and started to punch him. The team were suprised since they have never seen Nightwing act like this before. They were going to interject but Slade stuck out his hand and shook his head no. Since none of them felt like dieing they did what he said and just watched
"Are you done punching me yet Wing"
"Are you dead yet"
"Yes"
"A second time"
"Oh then no"
"Then no Im not done"
Nightwing went to punch Red again but Red was to quick. He grabed his hand and pulled off his hood. He had his mask on so it didnt matter to him. When the hood was fully off his leaned up and kissed Nightwing. Nightwing was suprised but kissed back after a min. When they pulled apart Red was smiling up at Wing, Wing was just glaring at him
"You forgive me now" Red asked
"Maybe, you are going to have to do more than that to get me to forgive you" Wing said and then he winked
"I dont think you want to do that infront of your team and Slade now do you" Red asked
Wing forgot that they were there so when he turned his head he was blushing in embarrisment. The whole team was shooked to the point they couldnt speak and Slade was just smiling
"Well I guess the secret is out" Wing said while looking down and Red
"Yeah I guess it is" Red said and then kissed Wing again
"Can you explain what is going on" Batgirl asked
To batgirl and Robin, Wing was cheating on Starfire, since last time the checked he was dating her. The rest of the team just wanted to know about everything that has happened that day
"I guess I have to spill most of my secrets dont I" Wing asked
"Well you have fun with that, I will see you back at the base" Slade said and then ran away
"SSSLLLLAAADDDEEE" Wing and Red yelled at once
"Get to talking" Artemis said
