You had finally hit your second pregnancy trimester and fortunately your symptoms had reduced. Still hormonal? Yes, but everyone had gotten used to it at this point.
It had also been made a routine that Naomi would cook for you, at first she only did it to prevent the creation of what she referred to as "abominations" but much to her misfortune you had grown quite fond of her cooking and now she can't escape the duty.
Naomi was the type to escape doing something she didn't want to do, but she'd often talk fondly about her times at the bar when you were with her, as well as cooking for you without being asked; you eventually were lead to believe that she actually enjoyed cooking for you.
"Oh, by the way, Miya, aren't you supposed to be moving in with you fiancé this month?" You asked Miya who was also sitting with you and Naomi,
"Nah, we're going to move in together after our wedding." Miya said much to your surprise,
"Oh really? What changed?"
"Nothing much, we just thought that might be a good idea." She kept it short, and Naomi shot her a glance before returning to what she was initially doing.
Miya knew best about your situation with Guren and how he would soon have to return the army; she was especially worried about how you would cope without him, especially during the last few months of your pregnancy and while she did trust the other girls to take care of you, she couldn't suppress her strong sense of responsibility which she's had for years in this house.
"That makes sense..." Naomi sighs, "That night after the wedding sex gonna hit different."
"Is that really what you got from that, Naomi?" Miya asked flustered but still relatively cool,
"That's the best reason I could possibly think of!" Naomi continued to tease,
"Have you not been getting any?" Miya raised an eyebrow, causing you to snort in amusement; it was very rare Miya was straightforward with her sly comments.
"How did you know?" Naomi turned to face the two of you, rolling her eyes,
"If I speak I will be in trouble." You mutter under your breath, itching to voice your own slick comment,
"You're absolutely right! I'm also the one feeding you." She shot you a look before turning off the stove and grabbing a plate.
"I was more than happy providing for myself, actually-" you began,
"If I let you continue, you would have definitely moved onto eating stuff that aren't edible." Naomi explained,
"She's right." Ira appeared at the doorway, "Y/N would've woken up one day and decided she was craving toilet blocks."
"Why are you even here?" You side-eyed her,
"I smelt food." She replied simply, already serving herself,
"I didn't cook for you, that's for Y/N." Naomi stared at her,
"We can share, right Y/N?"
You grinned at her, "Sure!" Your smile slowly dropped, "But if we do, you'll be eating toilet blocks before I do."
Ira froze, she would challenge you if you weren't extremely hormonal and pregnant but instead she turned with the plate, plopping it before you, "Bon appetit!" She nervously smiled before twirling around and heading straight for the fridge and taking out her own ingredients.
"Oh, you're too nice, Ira!" The grin returned to your face before you tucked in.
"Off topic, but Y/N a letter came for you today." Ira shot from over her shoulder,
"For me?" You felt a slight panic rise within you, not even Shinya and your other friends knew where you lived, so who could possibly be sending you letters? You dropped your fork, your appetite disappearing for the time being, before shooting up, "Where is it?"
She pulled an envelope out of her large cardigan pocket, and held it out for you and you took it, wasting no time with tearing it open, "Here, but why do you look so scared?"
Naomi chopped her on her head hard enough to jolt her slightly,
"OW!" She yelled in protest, "What was that for?!"
"Have you forgotten? Y/N's pretty much hiding from the army."
Ira's eyes widened before she slapped a hand over her mouth, "Oh, shit! I forgot, sorry."
Your eyes skimmed over the paper, you were slightly taken aback by the lined paper covered in child-like handwriting, although you heaved a huge sigh of relief when you read the name at the end, "Guys, Nico wrote to us." You flopped back down on your seat.
"Oh thank God!" Ira sighed,
"Even my heart stopped..." Miya slightly slouched, the concern dissipating from her face,
You showed them the letter to show them his writing before reading it for them,
"Hello, Y/N!
I hope you are all doing well. I'm doing really good now that I'm back with mama! I really missed her at first but now that I've been away, I realised how much I now also miss you and also the others. Even Naomi and Guren who are scary, I don't mind maybe seeing them again-" a large snort was heard at that point before you continued, fighting off the smile that took over your features,
"I would really like to see you again, would that be okay? Please let me know and write back at this address ... Nico."
Everyone awed in unison, except for Naomi "That's cute and all, but is that really from Nico?"
"Of course it is, look at the handwriting, idiot." Ira rolled her eyes,
"The people I've dealt with and Y/N is currently dealing with have been too similar for me to simply awe and move on. Did you at least see him write something while he was here, Y/N?"
You shook your head no, seriously considering Naomi's doubt, she wasn't wrong.
"I have! Let me see!" Ira volunteered, I slid the letter across to her and she turned her head to peer at it,
"Hm. It looks the same, I can get a notebook he wrote in to prove it."
"It's alright, I trust you. I'll ask Guren to call his mother before I reply."
"That would be the best thing to do." Miya agreed and you nodded your appetite now back since you felt slightly more at ease.

You surprisingly found Guren in the living room after a while, he was reading a book which wasn't something he causally does, but only most likely due to the fact that no one else was in there.
"Hey- I've got something to show you!"
He looked up, "What is it?"
You sat down next to him, resting your legs across his lap, he wrapped his arm around the small of your back to pull you in closer and you held out the letter showing him.
"Who's this from, Nico?" He peered at the letter a small smile on his lips,
You nodded, "Yeah, apparently it was delivered this morning, Ira found it and gave it to me."
"Did she? That's strange because I don't get stuff delivered to here." He cocked an eyebrow,
"I also found it a bit strange, but doesn't that mean someone has this location if this letter was sent?" I asked,
"Maybe. I'll look into it,"
"Are you able to call his mother and confirm." I suggested,
"I will, I'll have to use a burner phone but not here. Do you want to come with me, the letter was addressed to you after all." He proposed,
"Sure, can we go now? We still have time."
He nodded.
The two of you hadn't realised how low your voices were, and how that looked paired with the position you guys currently were in. As innocent as it seemed to you, when Naomi happened to enter the room she groaned loudly, "Ugh, get a room!"
"We weren't even doing anything." Guren groaned back,
"Sounds like something someone who hasn't had sex for a long time would say." You mumbled,
"Sorry, Y/N?" Naomi narrowed her eyes,
"I said, we're heading out now anyway." You hopped off the sofa, heading for the door, "See you later."
Guren chuckled in amusement at the retort, following you to leave the house.
