as i stopped talking in that chat for the night i went to face time suga. i stared at the screen as my phone was ringing.
"hello? y/n, why are you calling me this late?" suga asked in a tired voice.
"wellllllllll i don't think i'm gonna be in town for interhigh." i said with a frown.
"why?"
"i have a shoot out in tokyo and i'm gonna be there for 5 days. but i would be able to see you guys play at nationals i believe!"
"ah all right. so did you tell me first so i could tell the team?" suga asked with a smug expression on his face. he knows me too well.
"yea if you could that would be great! i love you good night!" i said quickly and ended the call before he could respond. 'man i'm kinda sad, but i do get to meet akaashi!, see everyone else, and kuroo and kenma!' i thought to myself. i smiled as i lay down to go to bed.
the next morning
as i pulled up into the school parking lot i let out a big yawn. as i went to lay my head on the steering wheel i heard a knock on my window.
"you know that if you keep sleeping in a parking lot something bad is going to happen to you." i looked up to see tsukki.
"aww you really do care about me!" i cooed as i started to get out of my car.
"tch, just come on or we're gonna be late for practice."
as i dragged myself into the gym i immediately went to look for suga's backpack. once i found it i started going through it.
"y/n what are you doing in my bag?"
"you always have those good breakfast bars! yes!" i exclaimed as i pulled one out. "you've been the same ever since we were little." i said with a pout. suga rolled his eyes with a smile and went back to practice.
as practice ended everyone started cleaning up the gym. once they were done the team surrounded me.
i let out a sigh. "so you guys know i won't be here for interhigh?" they all let out sad groans. i frowned covered my face. "i'm so sorry guys, but on the bright side i will definitely be back when you guys make it to nationals!" i said with a slight smile.
"what if we don't make it to nationals?" tsukki said.
i shot him a glare. "then i guess i'll be here to help you guys train for summer!" i said confidently. everyone beamed at this comment.
"THANK YOU Y/N!" hinata shouted. i smiled at him and ruffled his hair.
"alright come on guys! classes are about to start!"

i helped with practice extra because interhigh was coming up and coming up fast. every single practice i was there and the team was working really hard. the night before interhigh i had to catch my flight to tokyo.

i ended the voicemail message there. i got out my hoodie and airpods as i stepped into the airport. i was immediately swarmed by the paparazzi.
