IT TOOK EVERY ENERGY LEFT in her body before the dirty-blonde vampire could stand up from her position on the floor that she had been frozen on for three dreadfully long minutes.
She couldn't look inside the room anymore. She couldn't stand seeing the corpse of her twin sister covered in blood and bite marks. She felt as if her own body was becoming stiff just by looking at her, as if she was also becoming a literal corpse herself.
Luna left the room and decided to focus her attention on someone that would make her feel like a better person, someone who will remind her of her twin sister as someone with light in her eyes and not as someone who's lying on a bed with her stomach cut open. A piece of her sister that would make her feel more at ease.
Her steps were steady and faint as she entered the room where Rosalie was sat in front of the fireplace, playing with the adorable baby girl. Her gaze then landed on the kneeling Jacob, staring right into the baby, Renesmee's eyes.
At first, the dirty-blonde vampire was confused as to why the shapeshifter was kneeling on the ground, gazing at the baby as if he was worshipping her. But considering Luna still had the mind-reading ability she copied from Edward, it didn't take long for her to figure out what was happening to the young man.
"You pedophile piece of dog shit." Luna snarled, her voice shaking as she marched towards Jacob and swung her leg against his upper body, sending him tumbling to the ground.
Luna straddled the man and grabbed his throat.
"You fucking imprinted on my niece?" Luna said through gritted teeth, the shakiness in her voice still evident.
Rosalie got up from her seat, holding the baby while she looked at the two with wide eyes.
Jacob did not make any effort to fight back the vampire, he just remained there as if he was still in a trance.
"Alice! Valerie! Jasper!" Edward shouted from the clinic. Eventually, the bronze-haired vampire, with his shirt stained with his wife's blood, entered the room while Alice, Jackie, Valerie, and Jasper followed.
"They're coming." Edward told them.
Luna glared at the werewolf and pushed her lips into a thin line before taking everything in her to release Jacob, immediately sucking in air.
The vampire stood up and her fiancé made his way over to her.
"What happened?" He asked.
"Nothing." She simply answered right away.
"Luna, Rose, Jackie, stay with Bella." Edward said as he, Alice, Valerie, and Jasper made a move to go outside to fight off the werewolves.
"No. I-I can't go in there." Luna said. "I'll come with you."
"Selene, it's dangerous." Jasper told her.
"I have you now." She replied.
The couple looked at the bronze-haired vampire and he nodded once before they walk out of the room. But before they could completely walk out, Edward suddenly slowed down and stopped, turning to glare at Jacob as soon as he read his mind.
The bronze-haired vampire speed towards the shapeshifter and snapped his arm before throwing him against a wall. Jacob groaned in pain as he plummeted to the ground, and all Luna could do was glare at the young man before they went back to what's more important.
Edward, Alice, Valerie, Jasper, and Luna made their way outside where every growl and every step of the shapeshifters could be heard. The five vampires lined up in front of the house while the whole pack positioned themselves in a similar placement.
"We're outnumbered." Jasper said.
"By a lot." Alice added.
Their glares only became more intense as more of them appeared before them.
"I won't let them hurt my family." Edward said, scowling at the werewolves.
"Luckily, I'm in the mood for chaos." Luna said as she glowered at them, her fury fueled by the death of her sister and the incident with Jacob and her niece.
Every werewolf in sight had their eyes glowing with utter vexation as they glared at the coven of cold ones, especially Sam who has his eyes fixated on the bronze-haired vampire.
"Let's dance." Valerie said.
The werewolves growled once more before they sprinted from their positions. The vampires charged forward and they immediately made contact with the werewolves.
The vampires were holding the wolves with as much strength as they could muster. Without feeding for weeks, they could only do so much. Jasper successfully threw one wolf against the trunk of a tree which caused it to whimper in pain.
Alice whipped her head to the side to see a wolf coming after her and she jumped up in an attempt to avoid the ever-so-aggressive werewolf, only to be attacked by another making Alice scream.
Edward was also pinned down by Sam to the ground, as well as Valerie who still tried her best to get the wolf off of her.
Luna was faced with Paul once again, hearing his thoughts perfectly clear.
"Why are you still with them? That thing killed your sister!" Paul shouted in his mind.
"That thing is a piece of my sister and you brainless pups are trying to kill her. It's safe to say that I won't team up with you either." Luna scowled at the werewolf before charging after him.
A few hours ago, Luna was running back to Jasper's arms after being scared shitless about being chased by werewolves. She thought she wasn't ready to face those kinds of situations just yet. But it turns out, she is ready. She just needed the right motivation to do so. And that motivation was to protect her newborn niece.
The vampires have been struggling with fighting off the werewolves. Alice, Valerie, and Edward were down and pinned to the ground while Jasper and Luna proceeded to attack with as much force as they can.
Much to their relief, Esme, Carlisle, and Emmett finally arrived and they pushed Sam off of Edward before helping Alice and Valerie get away from the wolves.
Now that the Olympic Coven was complete, the vampires glared at the werewolves, mostly Sam before that certain wolf attempted to attack Carlisle and Esme only to be pushed away by Jasper.
Alice was keeping a werewolf from penetrating its teeth into her cold hard skin when another one tried to come at her. Luckily, Emmett was there to save her as he shoved him away and punched another coming right at him.
Everyone continued to struggle with their own fights, including Luna and Paul.
Paul managed to finally pin the dirty-blonde vampire down to the ground, causing a loud thud to be heard when her body hit the dirt. Luna mentally cursed when her hair got dirt in them but immediately got over it when a much bigger, literally bigger problem was in front of her.
Luna grabbed Paul's mouth as she tried desperately to keep his enormous, deadly-sharp teeth away from her skin.
Jasper whipped his head towards his fiancé's direction when he heard the girl's whimper. He was met by a werewolf who shoved his soulmate to the ground and kept her pinned there as it tried to jab its teeth into her.
The hone-blonde vampire felt his fury shoot up into a thousand as he snarled before running towards them as fast as he could.
But before the man could reach his soulmate, another werewolf managed to push Jasper out of the way, causing him to be also pinned down to the ground, the same situation Luna was in at the moment.
A series of groans, curses, and whimpers erupted from Luna's throat and seeing the inside of the werewolf's mouth definitely did not help.
She whipped her head to the side only to see her soulmate on the ground near her, experiencing the same struggle she was having right that very moment.
The girl swallowed hard before averting her hard gaze back at Paul. She was using all her energy to push away the werewolf but it seemed like it wasn't enough.
Her arms were starting to give in due to Paul having the upper hand and giving all his strength into his every attack, which was much higher than Luna's strength because of her lack of blood.
But before she could give in, she felt something that she never thought she would feel in a situation like this. She never thought she would feel it when the one she's touching was a werewolf. It was supposed to be impossible. But then again, it wasn't because she was feeling it at the moment.
The feeling of electricity flowed in the dried-up veins of the dirty-blonde vampire. The pleasure that it brings as it energized her with the intoxicating feeling of the current just embracing her body like a tidal wave gave her strength that she had never felt before. Absorbing its power was almost as euphoric as drinking blood for the first time.
The dirty-blonde vampire slowly closed her eyes with her hands still grasping the face of the werewolf steady as a rock. Paul couldn't help but be confused at the vampire's intentions, but his confusion was cut short when the girl opened her eyes and it revealed, instead of her crimson red eyes, a pair of golden yellow eyes that stunned the werewolf.
A smug smirk tugged on the vampire's red-tinted lips before Paul found out her newly-discovered strength that was five times her actual vampire strength by pushing him away like he was some kind of tin can.
At the same time Luna pushed away the werewolf, her body shifted into something that does not resemble a person's body at all. It resembled more like a werewolf's but, not an exact werewolf.
Unlike her usual curvy, pale, cold, and hard vampire body with dirty-blonde hair sitting on top of her head and her crimson red eyes that were as compelling as her beauty, in her position was a huge animal with fur as white as snow, claws as sharp and as long as daggers, teeth as large as a werewolf's, and eyes as yellow as a lion's.
The Luna they knew was nowhere to be found and in her place was a majestic, cold, white lioness that stood tall before them.
The werewolves couldn't help but back away as they caught sight of the lioness standing in front of her family protectively. Her paws and claws were digging into the dirt as she glowered at the animals before her that was the same size as her.
"Selene?" Jasper muttered.
The lioness slowly turned her head towards her soulmate and the scowl on her face decreased as she lowered her head down enough and closed her eyes. Jasper brought his hand up to her head to caress her gently and the vampire couldn't hide the amazement on his face when he smiled.
Because Jasper was linked to Luna, he too could feel the outstanding strength that Luna got from her new discovery.
"Luna copied their ability to shapeshift." Carlisle stated as he stared at Luna with his eyes widened, same could be described with the others in the area who had their eyes on the lioness.
"Holy crap." Valerie muttered.
Luna glanced back at Sam's pack and the scowl made its way back to her face as she growled. The white lioness averted her gaze towards Edward when a thought popped into her head. She knew only Edward could understand her, and with that, the bronze-haired vampire smirk before turning his gaze towards the pack.
"Luna has a message to all of you." Edward said.
Everyone's attention was captivated as they waited for what Luna had in mind.
"She said you'd have to kill her first before you can get to her niece..." Edward said. His smirk widened when he heard the familiar sassiness in the girl's mind. He couldn't believe he was saying this for her, but he was.
"And unfortunately for you, she's a bad bitch and nothing can kill her." Edward said as he read Luna's thoughts, unabke to hold back the small smile that curled on his lips.
A roar erupted from the lioness's throat which caused the werewolves to flinch.
The Olympic Coven and the Uley Pack made a move to attack each other but before they could do more damage, Jacob stormed out of the house and ran to stand in front of the coven.
He was about to say something to the wolves when Jacob's eyes landed on Luna. His face was filled with shock as he roamed his eyes around the figure of the white lioness.
"Luna? Is that you?" Jacob asked.
The girl simply huffed as a response and that was enough for Jacob to know her answer.
Jacob stared at her for a few more seconds before averting his gaze back at the werewolves, his scowl returning.
"This needs to stop. It's over!" Jacob told Sam.
The black werewolf growled loudly as a response, voicing out his disagreement.
"If you kill her, you kill me." He told him.
Sam reacted by shoving Jacob hard, sending him flying in the air. Jacob took it upon himself to phase while in the air, landing on the ground with his four large feet.
Jacob's gold eyes glared at Sam as he took threatening steps towards him, his aura holding that of confidence and courage.
"Jacob imprinted." Edward said.
The vampires flickered their gazes between Edward and Jacob in shock as the bronze-haired vampire continued.
"They can't hurt her." Edward added. "Whoever a wolf imprints on can't be harmed."
Resistance could be seen clearly from the Uley pack as they realized what Edward was talking about.
"It's their most absolute law." Edward ended.
And with that, Sam was forced to step back and end the fight. He growled as he turned around and walked away, his entire pack following him.
Once the Uley pack was no longer in sight, Jacob turned around to face the bronze-haired vampire and the rest of the coven, seeing their still hard expressions on their faces as they registered another new and overwhelming information into their heads.
Luna shook her head abruptly and huffed as her figure slowly retracted from her lioness form into her original body. Jasper held her as the girl revert back to her vampire body. Considering that her clothes were ripped when she phased, she was completely bare when she phased back.
Valerie ran back to the house to get a blanket for Luna before rushing back outside and giving it to Jasper.
The honey-blonde vampire took the blanket and nodded at the redhead as thanks before wrapping the blanket around his fiancé.
Luna slowly sat upright as she tugged on the blanket around her naked figure. Jasper helped her move away the strands of her dirty-blonde hair that was covering her face before they could see her crimson red eyes again.
"I-uhm-had the strangest dream." Luna grumbled, looking like she had just woken up from a nap that she couldn't have ever since she became a vampire.
Jasper stifled a laugh before hugging his soulmate and carrying her bridal style to take her back inside the house.

"Remind me to never upset Selene when there's a werewolf around." Jasper told Jackie.
The adopted human Cullen smiled at the honey blonde's statement as she crossed her arms.
"I'm sure you don't know this, but I once referred to Luna as a lioness." Jackie said.
Jasper turned his confused gaze towards the brunette, whose hair had grown past her shoulders.
"You did? When?" he asked.
"Right after you guys trained for the fight with the newborn army." Jackie answered. "I thought that in Edward and Bella's relationship, the phrase 'the lion fell in love with the lamb' was a perfect fit. But to you guys, you're the lion and she's the lioness. Both of you have strengths that none could match."
A smirk appears on the vampire's lips as he looked away, admiring how that sounded.
"You know, now that everyone knows what she's capable of..." Jackie started. "She had become a predator that everyone fears."
His smirk only widened as he side-glanced the human girl.
"Honestly, I don't think anything has changed." Jasper said, slightly confusing Jackie. "She has always been a predator that everyone fears, even when she's still human."
The girl couldn't hide the smile that formed in her lips as she remembered all the times Luna had fearlessly spoke her mind and done everything she wanted to do.
"I couldn't agree more." Jackie said.
Jackie left his side to be with Alice and Jasper eventually made his way towards his fiancé, wrapping his arm around her waist gently as the girl stared at her sister's body from a distance.
"What's taking her so long?" Luna asked, her gaze never leaving Bella.
"She'll wake up. Just give her time." Jasper answered.
Luna closes her eyes and sighed deeply as she shook her head.
"It's been two days." She muttered, feeling anxious and frustrated.
Jasper turned her around gently so that she would be facing her before he placed his hands on both her arms.
"Selene, she will wake up." Jasper reassured her.
As if on cue, the Cullens slowly turned their gazes on Bella when they heard her body going through some changes. They could hear the remaining blood in her body moving around, the way her shattered rib cage formed back up, the way her wounds closed.
By the time they laid their eyes on her, it was as if Bella didn't die at all. She looked perfectly healthy. Her hair had more color, her skin was pale and flawless, her eyelids looked like it had permanent eyeshadow on. Everything about her appearance looked familiar yet so different.
The coven stared at Bella as they anticipated what was coming next. And there it went.
Bella Cullen's eyelids folded and it revealed her crimson red eyes.

Sue Clearwater was preparing a meal for Charlie Swan when the phone rang, causing the man to move towards the telephone and answer it.
"Hello?" he greeted.
He allowed the person from the other end of the line talk. His eyebrows furrowed in both confusion and anger, which made Sue worry as she set down the bowl of food down on the table.
"What? What do you mean she got bailed out? Where did they even get the money?" Charlie asked, mad about the whole situation he was just informed about.
"Yeah, okay. Thanks for telling me." He said before ending the call.
Sue walked around the table and approached the worried and angry man to ask him what happened.
"What was that all about?" she asked.
Charlie Swan closed his eyes and sighed in frustration before glancing at the woman.
"Hannah Roman just got bailed out of jail."
