Two weeks later

Evanora

I finished packing my things into my trunk and left it on my bed. Most students just pack a few things they needed for the break, but I had to pack everything since I was never coming back.

"Why are you taking so much stuff?" Pansy questioned as Clara was packing Pansy's things for her.

"I'm leaving Hogwarts," I explained.

"Good," she responded and left the room. Little does she know that her precious Draco is leaving as well.

After packing, I left my trunk on my bed and went to go eat. For the past two weeks, me and Draco just grab food and eat in the common room. All my Gryffindor friends hated me and Blaise started sitting at the Slytherin table again and I really didn't want to be around him. I told Draco that he didn't have to eat with me but I guess he didn't mind.

We completely made up after hating each other for two months and he forgave me for thinking he was a murderer. I also told him about how I watched all the death eaters come out of that cabinet and what they talked about. He apologized for not telling me about it sooner and explained how the cabinet worked. It was a vanishing cabinet. You put something (or someone) inside and they come out through another cabinet. Voldemort asked him to repair it so the death eaters could help Draco kill Dumbledoor. He was thankful that Snape stepped in so he wouldn't have to do it.

I walked in the dining hall and grabbed a breakfast sandwich off the Slytherin table and headed back to the common room. Draco was already eating.

"All packed?" He asked as I sat down. I nodded.

"Did you say your goodbyes?" He asked.

"To what friends?"

"Well Ambrose is staying here. He knows we aren't coming back and he's pretty upset," Draco told me.

"I will. We'll see him eventually, right?" I said.

"We don't know that," He responded. He was right. What if we were found in the muggle world? Voldemort would kill us on the spot.

"I didn't mean to make you upset. It's just something we need to take into consideration," He said and rubbed my back.

"It's fine. He'll sit with us on the train. He's going home for the holiday anyways," I said. I was sad we were leaving him behind, but we can't let him get caught up in this. If we are found, Ambrose could get killed and I can't let that happen. I have to keep him safe. Always.

"My mother wrote to me again. She said the story is that we ran away together. She told Professor Mcgonagall to tell a silly story that the two of us fell in love so the death eaters would just think we were escaping so we'd be a couple," He laughed weirdly.

"Your mother came up with that?" I questioned.

"Well really my mother said yours did."
"I figured," I said and rolled my eyes. My mother always tried to get me to get with Draco. I have no idea why. Why would I date him? I looked over at him as he ate. He looked like he was lost in thought. Now that I think about it, his eyes are really pretty and his hair falls perfectly. He has a perfect facial structure and he is actually well proportioned. I guess I'd be lying if I said I didn't find him attractive, because I do.

I think he thought of something funny because he started smiling out of nowhere. It wasn't his devil smirk, it was a genuine smile. I liked this smile.

"You're staring at me," He said and looked at me and raised his eyebrows.

"No I wasn't," I said and looked down at my food.

"You think I'm cute, don't you," He teased.

"As if!" I pouted and students began flooding into the common room to grab their things. I put my food away and went to my bed to grab my trunk. It was pretty heavy, but I'll manage.

Before I walked out of the girl's dormitory I looked around, taking it all in. This is the last time I'll ever be here.
I started getting a little emotional and a tear feel from my eye. I sighed and walked out. To my right, I saw Pansy and Blaise snogging. I quickly looked away, minding my own business.

"Jealous, mud blood lover? Have fun at your new school," Pansy said and went back to snogging Blaise.

I ignored her and couldn't wait for her rude awakening when she finds out Draco is leaving too. I laughed to myself thinking about the fit she'll throw.

I found Draco waiting for me in the common room. He had his trunk and his owl.

"You ready?" He asked.

"Not really," I said honestly.

"Me neither. Let's go," He said and we walked together out of the common room. We went through the corridors and outside the castle.
Once we got outside, I saw the snow covering the castle. I'll miss this. It's so pretty during winter. I can't believe I'm never coming back. I felt a tear leave my eye.

"Don't cry," Draco said and whipped my tears away.

I gave him a half smile and looked over to my shoulder to find Ron just staring at me. I felt a wave of sadness fall over me. I looked over to Draco who was staring Ron down. He had a scowl on his face.

"Come on, Draco. The train's here," I said and pulled him with me.
We found Ambrose in the crowd of first years and told him to come with us. We all walked into the train together and sat in the same compartment at the end of the train.

"I can't believe you two are really leaving me," Ambrose said as he sat down.

"I'm sorry, kid," Draco said sadly.

"Are you guys really just running away to get married?" He questioned. I looked at Draco who was smirking.

"Did mom tell you that?" I asked and he nodded.

"She wrote to me and said that you wrote to her to tell her that you and Draco are skipping seventh year so you can get married early," He said innocently. I know my mother only said that so he wouldn't know what's really going on, but would he really believe this? I know my mother isn't as smart, but what the heck is this excuse?
"I'm surprised mum let you," He said.

"Yeah she didn't at first but me and Draco have a plan so she approved," I said quickly. If I didn't have a response, he'd probably figure out we were lying. He's pretty gullible most of the time, but he's also very smart. He might believe the dumb lie my mom told him, but if we slip up, he'd see right through us right away.

Draco laughed and I shot him a glare.

"So you guys actually love each other?" He questioned. He did NOT believe that.

"Yeah, definitely," I said and Draco stayed quiet.

"Kiss!" Ambrose smiled. I looked at Draco and his face was bright red. "What are you waiting for?" Ambrose asked.

"I um," I started mumbling then I felt Draco peck my cheek. I looked over at him and he was smirking again. I felt my cheeks get hot so I shyly hid my face with my hair.

"I'm not convinced," Ambrose said as he stared us down.

"Oh look! The sweet cart!" Draco changed the subject and opened the compartment door to a Lady with a cart of sweets.

"Ou! Sweets!" Ambrose said and pulled some money out. "One chocolate frog!" He said and the lady took his money and handed him a chocolate frog.

Draco scanned the cart and said, "get me some of those and one of those," while pointing at different things on the cart. He handed her some money and she handed him a handful of things.

He dumped everything on the table.
"Last time on this train. Why not make the most of it?" He said.

"Thanks, Draco!" Ambrose said and we all dug into the sweets.

After eating, I fell asleep.

"Evanora," I heard a soft voice say. "It's time to go, darling," The soft voice said again.

I opened my eyes to see I was laying in Draco's lap. I was using his thighs as a pillow. I looked at him looking down at me. I smelled a really strong but familiar scent of peppermint.

"How did I?" I began to ask, sitting up. How on earth did I end up in that position?

"You fell asleep with your head against the window and you looked really uncomfortable, so I pulled you into my lap," Draco explained. I guess that's why my nap was so relaxing.

"Aw! You guys really are a couple!" Ambrose said in awe. Draco just looked away and I tried hiding my embarrassment.

"Come on. Let's get out of here," I said and we grabbed our things and headed off the train.
"Draco! Evanora!" I heard some call out and I spotted my mother with Nacissa Malfoy.

We walked over to them and they greeted us. We had to hurry if we wanted to make it there without getting caught by my father, Voldemort, or the other death eaters.

"The portkey is very close by. It shouldn't take too long," My mother said as we walked out of the train station. We all walked in silence.

We arrived at a cemetery and entered.

"This way," Narcissa said and led us to a specific tombstone. It was blank.

"Who's buried here?" I asked.

"No one. This is where the portkey is," My mother said.

"You see that vase with flowers? Both of you grab it at the same time and it will take you to a cemetery right next to your new home's neighborhood. The muggles you'll be staying with will be waiting outside for you," Narcissa explained.

"Muggles?" Ambrose questioned.

"They want to go into muggle studies for their career," my mother lied. I hate lying to my brother.

"Oh that's cool!" Ambrose said supportingly. I smiled at him.

"Alright. Goodbye kids," Narcissa said and pulled Draco into a hug. My mother did the same. Afterwards, I hugged Ambrose and said 'goodbye'.

"You two be safe. No magic unless it's absolutely necessary. You can't get in trouble with the ministry," My mother said.

"We love you both," Narcissa said and Draco and I approached the vase.

"You ready?" He asked and I nodded.

He grabbed my hand and began to count down. "3, 2, 1," We both grabbed the vase and got sucked into the portkey.
