WARNING! Mention of r*pe.

"Did you hear about the new student?" Andy asks as he rummages through his locker. Blue and Genny are next to him, ready to head to their first class.

Genny looks at his friend with furrowed brows. New student? So he's finally going to stop being a target to all the bullies since he'll no longer be the 'new one'.

"I think it's an opportunity to enlarge our group." Blue smiles as the three advance into the hall.

Andy's and Blue's hangover passed in a day and now the three are back together (to Genny's luck). Yesterday wasn't a bad day (excluding Genny's embarrassing interaction with Cameron in literature class).

Josh was nowhere to be seen, and Genny is slowly starting to like school. (Again, except for his meetings with Cameron).

He would rather be here than at home with his abusive uncle.

While deep in his thoughts, Genny bumps into a shoulder. Well, more of slams than bumps since he sends the other person flying on the floor.

"Dammit, I'm so clumsy." He mutters under his breath and looks at the stranger he just injured. He prepares to apologize as the guy stands up, gathering his books from the floor, but as he opens his mouth, the stranger stops him, saying. "It's alright."

Genny apologetically smiles, still feeling bad. The stranger has black hair with blonde roots, and his face is pretty basic. Handsome nonetheless.

"I'm Aiden. The new kid, if you haven't heard already." He introduces himself with a charming smile, holding his hand for Genny to take. The brunette shyly smiles, reaching forward.

"Genoah. I was the new kid before you." Genny introduces himself.

Not one second passes, and Andy and Blue are next to Genny, introducing themselves.

"Nice to meet you, Aiden. Considering you have no friends, you'll come with us." Andy smiles and takes Aiden's arm, tugging the confused boy after him and showing him around, pointing to people in the halls and telling Aiden about them not bothering to gossip quietly.

Genny and Blue shot each other a knowing look, knowing Andy's too friendly personality, and then follow the two.

After comparing schedules with Aiden, they concluded that Aiden is a year older than all three, so the only time they would be meeting is gym class and lunch.

With a sad smile, the three-part ways with Aiden, and then later with Blue too. So that's how Andy and Genny are alone again, wandering the halls of Creek wood High, each with different people and problems on their minds.

____________

Lunchtime arrives as the friend group of four members wanders down the halls. Andy and Genny had the same previous class and then met with Blue and Aiden afterward so they could all go to lunch.

Aiden is not very extrovert, he's mostly silent despite Andy's continuous questions.

Genny begins to wonder why he changed schools in the last year, and if he'll ever find out more personal details about Aiden.

He seems like he would fit with the popular guys, so maybe this whole new friendship thing won't last long. Maybe the minute they enter the cafeteria Aiden will realize how losers the three are, and he'll go sit at the popular table.

Or maybe he'll stay with the three and become friends.

Only one way to find out.

Andy opens the cafeteria's double doors, analyzing the room to find an empty table.

Right as they walk into the lunchroom, Cameron and his friend group walk out. And since Genny and Aiden are right in front of the cafeteria doors, they lock paths with Cameron who is walking towards Genny with a smug smirk that Genny would love to punch.

Genny glares as Cameron stops in front of him, making Cameron's smirk deepen. But as his eyes land on Aiden, his smirk falls, and surprise takes over his face as if he'd just seen a ghost.

Then that surprise turns into a look of hatred.

Aiden and Cameron are face to face, staring at each other like in those cowboy movies when the enemies confront each other in a battle. They are almost the same height, Cameron a bit taller, but they both look just as intimidating.

After minutes of silence, Aiden talks.

"Isaac Howard. Nice to see you again." Aiden says, turning Genny into a confused mess as he looks between Aiden and Cameron. Or should he say, Aiden and Isaac?

"It's Cameron now," Cameron growls.

"Going by your first name. Running from the past, I see."

Cameron growls louder and then his eyes move onto Genny.

"What are you doing with him?" He asks the brunette, trying not to snap in anger.

Genny furrows his brows and sticks his chin up, "None of your business."

Cameron flares his nostrils, the vein on his neck looking as if it's about to pop. He looks down at Genny, repeating what he said but with a much scarier tone. "What. Are. You. Doing. With. Him." He grunts, grabbing Genny's arm. Genny looks up at him, trying to hide the fear and surprise in his eyes.

He has never seen Cameron this demonic, not the night of the party, never.

Aiden puts a hand on Cameron's shoulder, taking him away from Genny.

"Oh, don't be so protective. What's the worst that can happen to him?" Aiden mocks, a wicked smile on his face. A smile that only Cameron knows the meaning behind.

Cameron grits his teeth, feeling the fire burn inside him.

"Why are you here, Aiden?" Cameron gnarls.

Aiden chuckles. "To see you, of course. I thought you were a bit bored, so I came to make it more fun for you." Aiden whispers to Cameron, glancing at Genny.

Cameron lets out the deepest possessive growl and then his fist lands on Aiden's face, sending him to the ground.

Genny gasps, getting a deja vu from the night of the party.

And just like then, this time he's also shocked, not knowing how to intervene.

Cameron crouches down and punches Aiden over and over again.

After being satisfied with leaving Aiden's face a bruised mess, he stands up, his breath hard, his blooded fist by his sides as he hovers over Aiden's body, the dark hair hanging over his glaring eyes as sweat rolls down the side of his face. The t-shirt is tight on his muscles, and despite the situation, Genny can't help but feel butterflies in his stomach.

Cameron might be an asshole, but that doesn't change the fact that he's hot.

Genny snaps out of his gay panic as Cameron lands a foot in Aiden's stomach, not looking like he's going to stop anytime soon.

Suddenly, Alex grabs Cameron by the shoulder, and Genny comes to the realization that there are other people in the cafeteria. He forgot about that for a minute.

"Cam. Cam. Stop." Alex tries to block Cameron from continuing further but Cameron breaks free launching towards Aiden once again.

Genny gasps and jumps in front of Cameron, setting his frail hands on the man's chest.

"Please, stop." Genny pleads.

Cameron growls down at Genny. Feeling Geno's small, warm hands on his muscular chest, his Bambi eyes looking up at him, begging, it's not only making him angrier but also makes him horny. And those two don't go together.

"You can't just punch everyone who comes near me," Genny says.

"Watch me," Cameron growls.

"I'm done with you being jealous and beating everyone," Genny repeats, frustrated.

"Stay away from him," Cameron demands, making Genny rolls his eyes.

"This is not me jealous, it's not like those times. This is serious. This guy-"

"I can't hear your bullshit anymore." Genny snaps and helps Aiden off the ground.

Will this become a routine? Genny making new friends, Cameron beating them to a pulp, and then Genny having to apologize in Cameron's name? This is what his life has gotten to?

"Come on," Genny whispers and puts Aiden's arm over his shoulder, keeping him on his feet.

Seeing what's happening, Cameron growls again.

Genny walks Aiden to the door to get the beaten boy to the nurse's office.

"I'll go alone." Genny turns around to tell Blue and Andy who look at Aiden with concerned faces. They nod so Genny turns around to leave, but Cameron is quick to get in his path.

"Don't go with him." Cameron orders, his heart burning.

"You can't tell me what to do," Genny mutters so that only Cameron can hear.

With that, Genny walks out of the room, grabbing Aiden so the boy doesn't fall.

Despite his hurt face, Aiden still manages to turn around and give Cameron a smirk which results in Cameron growling and clenching his fists.

_____________

Droplets of blood stain the beige floors of Creek wood high as two pairs of feet rush in the direction of the medical cabinet.

Aiden is coughing blood, staining the floors even more.

Genny hurries to knock on the cabinet door, a nurse greeting them with a shocked face as she lays eyes on Aiden.

"What happened?" She asks, helping Genny to place Aiden on the medical bed.

"Isaac- Isaac happened." Aiden chuckles and coughs more blood.

Genny looks at him concerned but also confused.

'Cameron Isaac Howard. Hm.' Genny contemplates as the nurse starts cleaning Aiden up and then gives him a pill to soothe his pain.

The nurse leaves to get some bandages from the other room, and that's when Genny sits down on the bed next to Aiden.

"How do you know Cameron? You seem to hate each other. What did he do?" The boy asks, not able to contain his curiosity.

"From what I've seen you two were close. If I tell you, you'll hate him. I don't want to destroy it for you."

Genny scoffs. "We are not close."

"Then you shouldn't want to know what he did." Aiden smiles through his bruised face. Genny playfully rolls my eyes. Aiden did outsmart him here.

"Okay. Maybe I do care. Why do you call him Isaac?"

"Everyone called him that," Aiden answers, feeling his bruised eye with the tip of his fingers.

"Everyone?"

"The people in his gang."

Genny throws his head back and laughs loudly. "Oh what? You're going to tell me Cameron was part of some mafia. That's too Wattpad."

"Drug gang. I was the gang's enemy, tried to stop their crimes. Isaac killed and r*ped people. He's not who he seems to be."

After that, the nurse comes back to bandage Aiden, and in the silence that falls, Genny is slowly starting to hyperventilate about the things he has just heard about Cameron.

Genny is sitting on his bed, staring at his ceiling while checking the clock from time to time.

There's one hour left and then Genny has to get up and get dressed because tonight, he is attending his second party.

He and Aiden exchanged numbers after leaving the nurse's cabinet, and later that day, Aiden texted him to invite him to a party. Genny agreed, seeing it as an opportunity to deepen their friendship.

He texted Blue and Andy, apparently Blue has a date with Alex tonight, and when Andy saw that on their group chat, he decided he wanted to join Alex's and Blue's date and attend as their loyal third-wheel.

Blue didn't accept, obviously, but when it comes to Andy, you can complain and resist but he's still going to do whatever he wants.

So that's how Genny ended up on his bed, thinking of how the party will go with only Aiden by his side. The two met, and are friends, but they aren't that close.

Genny just hopes it won't be awkward between them.

For the past few hours, he has thought about Cameron, and what Aiden said about him. But he decides to push that as far as possible in his mind. At least for tonight.

Suddenly, his ringtone echoes through the room, and Genny is quick to grab his phone from the nightstand.

He looks at the caller ID, and when he sees Aiden's name, he doesn't waste a second to respond.

"Hi?" He softly asks.

"Hi, Genoah. So, I talked to some people and found out Isaac is coming to the party too. I just wanted to warn you, considering what I told you today." Aiden explains, and Genny can hear his smile through the phone.

"Oh," Genny breathes out, a lump rising in his throat.

"I'm gonna be there to protect you, alright. We'll watch out." Aiden assures, and Genny nervously bites his bottom lip.

"Alright. I'll see you at the address you gave me?"

"Wear something nice," Aiden demands, making Genny grimace, and then the line goes silent.

"What is 'nice' supposed to mean?" Genny mutters, letting his head fall back onto the pillow.
