6 months later...
Aradhya's POV
" I am ready to go." I said to Asher who was buttoning up his shirt. " You are late Mr. Milverton." I said to him and he chuckled before pulling me close to him.
" You are the reason, Mrs. Milverton." He said and blinked few times tried to act innocent. He narrowed his eyes at me.
" What have I done, Mr. Milverton?" I asked him biting my lower lip. He shook his head.
" We have to attend the wedding ceremony otherwise I would let you know what you have done." He said.
" No worries, Mr. Milverton. You have me all night." I said and he rolled his eyes.
It was Gabi's wedding ceremony today. Gabi didn't want to get married once again ever but Caleb was so determined to get her married after Ardeyn and Juliet got married. I don't know what get into his head or who spoiled his brain but he wanted Gabi to get married once again. He was too stubborn that he wanted to leave home if Gabi doesn't agree. We tried to convince him but no use. He wanted to go to the boarding school. I don't know what happened to him. We tried to know that but he didn't say anything.
" Yup. We have to reach there in time." I said to him. " I hope Gabi comes out of Cassius's death with this wedding ceremony." I said and Asher sighed deeply.
" We both know that Gabi is making a contract with that guy. She is not at all interested in wedding or things related to it. She just doesn't want to lose Caleb. That's it. This wedding is nothing to her and it's just a contract to the groom as well. They are just trying to make things easier for each other. He needs a bride to fulfill the requirements of his grandfather's will and she needs a groom to keep Caleb to herself. In one word they need that contract nit each other's company. And once he gets what he wants and Gabi convinces Caleb they will have a mutual separation. That's it." Asher said and I sighed deeply.
" Be positive, Asher. Let's hope for something good. We want Gabi to settle down in her life now. How long will she be like this? I just want her to be happy in her life. Doesn't she deserve to be happy?" I asked him and he sighed deeply.
" She does but she will not be able to if she doesn't let the past go. She is still stuck with Cassius. No one can reach her if she doesn't allow someone and we both know this very well that Gabi will not allow anyone to do that." He said to me. I nodded sadly.
" I can't see her like this anymore. This keeps hurting me all the time seeing her hurting herself." I said to him.
" Gabi is like my sister, Aradhya. I tried a lot to convince her but she stopped me saying she doesn't want to forget him. I have nothing to do if she doesn't allow me to discuss about this. Ardeyn and I talked to her about this several times but she always avoided to discuss about this topic. She doesn't want anyone interfere in this topic. What can we do in this?" He asked me. I sighed.
" Can we just hope for something positive?" I asked him.
" We are always hoping for something positive." He said taking the tie. I sighed. "You are looking beautiful." He said putting on the tie. I chuckled inwardly.
" Don't I look beautiful other time?" I asked him. He just shook his head but didn't say anything. " You should say something to convince me now." I said to him.
" Are you upset now?" He asked me.
" Yes." I acted a bit. He walked toward me and bend over me. I moved back a bit.
" Then let's miss the wedding ceremony. I have other ways to convince you." He said and I narrowed my eyes at him.
He chuckled taking his phone which was lying next to me. I rolled my eyes. He shook his head. I kept looking at him who was putting on the the wrist watch. Will I ever be tired watching him?!!
"Never." My brain screamed.
" What?!" He asked me looking at my reflection on the mirror.
" Nothing." I shook my head. He smiled. That smile of him always overwhelms me.
" Come. Let's go." He said holding my hand and we walked out of our room.
We reached Cassidy's place were the wedding was going to take place. Gabi wanted to have a secret wedding ceremony but Caleb protested against it. He wanted a grand wedding ceremony for her. I know that this wedding ceremony is nothing for Gabi but I hope this changes things in her life. May God bless her with happiness this time.
" Ari!!" Juliet called me and I walked toward the girls. Asher was busy with Ardeyn and other business associates.
The wedding ceremony started and we were standing there as Gabi's bridesmaids.
" Ari!!" Jordana whispered.
" What?" I asked her.
" Don't you think Alexander Kirstein looks closely alike Cassius?" She asked me and I shook my head.
" He does but what do you want to mean? We checked it several times. He is not Cassius. He is Alexander. Someone else." I said to her and she nodded sighing deeply.
" I still can't believe that he is not Cassius." She said and I nodded.
" I also thought he is Cassius but he is not. We have to accept that." I said to her.
" Gabi must have chosen him to keep her reminding all the time that she can't forget Cassius." She said and the wedding rituals ended.
Gabi and Alexander were acting so good to let anyone know that this all was just a drama. When the priest said you may kiss the bride both Alexander and Gabi was uncomfortable but Alexander hold her hands and kissed on her knuckles. I sighed deeply. Whole the wedding ceremony we were just acting to be so happy about Gabi's wedding but we knew that this was a big fat lie.
We came back home in the evening. I was still thinking about Gabi's wedding and it's consequences.
" What happened, Ari?" My mother in law asked me.
" I am so worried about Gabi's future." I said to her and she smiled.
" Gabi is matured enough. She knows what's the best for herself." She said.
" Caleb was so desperate to make her get married." I said to her.
" That little boy did a right thing which we couldn't do in all these years." She said and I sighed deeply.
We talked for awhile and then I walked upstairs. I found Asher is already there. He was doing something on his laptop. I removed my shoes and walked toward the washroom. I needed to take a shower. I was still thinking about Gabi. Will she ever be able to accept this wedding or they will part away for real?! I walked out of the washroom and found Asher still working on his laptop so I decided not to bother him now. I walked toward the studio of mine beside our room. It was a gift from Asher on my last birthday. I tried to work on the new song but nothing caught my brain. I opened the door and reached the balcony. I was sitting there lonely when Asher sat next to me giving me a cup of coffee. I smiled. He knows me better than I know myself. I leaned on him and he wrapped his arms around me.
" Sometimes we need to let things happen just like it's happening, Aradhya. We don't have it in our hands. If we hand then we would do anything to make Gabi happy." He said and I nodded moving closer to him.
He made me sit on his lap. It was raining outside and the glass wall of the balcony was a bit blurry to block our vision. I was still looking outside though I couldn't see anything clearly. I wasn't looking at Asher but I knew that he was looking at me. I smiled and turned to see him. Asher always says that the definition of love can be different for person to person which varies the view about love but the real meaning of love is which ties to people together for eternity. I want to be tied with him beyond eternity. Cause the real meaning of love for me was he himself.
