Personality: feels betrayed by both his biological parents. resent beacon and all those associated with it only a few he still cares about. is obsessed with LOVELESS, a famous poem that has been adapted into numerous plays. first read LOVELESS and it became his favorite, and he has spent his life trying to decipher it. Jaune takes the words of LOVELESS literally, believing to have discovered its meaning: and believes that by fulfilling its words he can obtain the "gift of the goddess" to cure his degradation.

Jaune is powerful spellcaster, blasting homing fire balls, electric needles, and red magical swords. He can drain health from others, restore himself, and even render himself invulnerable, and can enhance his sword with magic and channel blazing energy into his hands to detonate whatever he touches. He can conjure powerful monsters to stall his adversaries via Summon Materia.

As a Project J, Jaune has superhuman physical prowess.
Jaune who is merely injected with Merlot cells, slowly begins to degrade. Genesis can use his cells as a conduit to transfer his abilities onto others, thus creating copies of himself jaune clones(like genesis making genesis clones. degree of which depends on how strong the copy is—the strongest copies appear identical to Genesis save for his weapon.but is only seen doing so on humans, and his copies degrade at accelerated rates. The exact rate of degradation varies depending on the subject's own physical potential. Considered a failure of the Jenova Project, Jaune is vulnerable to degradation
When cognizant of his identity as a Project J. Jaune manifests a black wing over his left shoulder that allows him to fly. He can launch the wings' feathers as projectiles.
Jaune avatar
In his Jaune Avatar form, he wields a much larger red sword, and can call forth enhanced Genesis Copies and summon materia from the lifestream to perform spells. Jaune signature ability is Apocalypse, which creates a crest above his opponent that emits a wave of energy to damage them.
Genesis Avatar will summon G Shadow Scythes, G Shadow Knights and G Shadow Mages, each with their own abilities,

Apocalypse (Apokaripusu) is one of jaune abilitys often times being used by extremely powerful enemies, and is generally one of the strongest attacks or spells. It has come to be associated with strong magic users.
Octaslash (Hattōissen, lit. Eight Sword Flash) is one of jaune trademark attacks. It consists of a swift sequence of sword slashes, though despite the name it is not always comprised of eight hits.
