PART 15
Fatima calls an emergency all-you-can-eat-movie-night on Friday. She shows up at the door in plaid pajama pants, a stack of DVD’s, her laptop, and a brown grocery bag. My eyes are questioning and she merely pushes past me.
“’Sup, Loser,” she greets Seth as she always does, who bumps her shoulder as he passes her on the stairs.
“Hey, Dumbass,” he calls back.
Reaching the top of the stairs, she looks back down at me. “You comin?” Not waiting for an answer, she disappears into my bedroom.
Seth looks at me closely before raising his eyebrows. “Boy trouble?” I shrug and he starts toward the kitchen before backpedaling and fixing me with a hard look. “It’s not Isaac, is it?” I don’t answer and he curses under his breath. “Dammit, I had faith in that hot dick.” He retreats to the kitchen again and shaking my head, I turn to go to my room, where Fatima sits waiting with Twizzlers and Clueless.
