Chase
Two words
Thank god.
I didn't know what I would so without her. I'm not gonna fuck this up, not like last time when I kidnapped her...twice.
But hey, can you really blame?
I'm an alpha. A very overprotective one. I'd die for her. I would kill any male that would touch her, or even look at her.
I would die if anything happened to her.
So when she reached my hand all I did was hold her, and sniffing her hair. Her scent was like a drug to me. Strawberries and vanilla. Holding her hand, we walked downstairs. I looked over at her and saw her looking at all the pictures.
"My mom and dad died four years ago by rogues. It was a normal day when a bunch of them came out of the forest, going straight for my dad." I swallowed and continued.
"My dad tried to fight them off, but was trying to save my mom, them surrounding my mom. The next thing I knew it, one jumped out and clawed my dad to the side and throat, killing my dad immediately. Mom saw him lying on the ground ans howled, I knew her heart was broken. She tried fighting them off, but they're we're too many. She turned around towards me and mouthed I love you, and she was gone." I breathed in and out, always trying not to cry.
"What about the other werewolves. Where were they?" My Mate asked.
"We were all just hanging out, and my dad had given restricted orders not to bother us. They realised we were in trouble, but they were too late. And they found me, behind a tree, after seeing my parents getting murdered right in front of my eyes."
I balled my fist, still knowing I could've stopped them, but didn't.
It was my fault they were dead.
"Chase, it's not your fault. You were fourteen...And I'm guessing you couldn't even shift yet. And even if you tried to fight you would've been killed too." Emma said.
"It would've been easier, being killed too." I mumbled but somehow she heard that. How, I had said it so quietly...
But before I could think about it anymore, she wrapped her arms around me. I swear this was the best thing in the world. I was surprised, not seeing her affection sign...usually her sarcastic rolling eyes side.
But I could get used to this side. But as soon as she did, she pulled back. I looked down at her, being much taller than her, but suddenly I felt a tiny, sad painful feeling in my chest, and I knew right away that it had to do with Emma.
Or you could say the mate connection.
I saw tears in her eyes and wiped them away.
"What wrong? Is it your ankle? Do you want some ice? I'll go get you some ice. I stepped away from her, her hurting was in acceptable. She held my arm back and said something quietly. So quietly, that with myself being a alpha and having better hearing than others, I couldn't even hear.
"What was that?" I said and lifted her chin. I wiped away her tears.
"You said...you would've wanted to die with them. If you did, you wouldn't have met me." She said and it clicked.
She's falling for me. Or just starting to have feelings for me, the mate pull.
"I know it's stupid, but I guess that just hurts me even though we don't even know each other and..." She started rambling on.
It was kind of cute.
"Hey." I said and cupped her face with my hands.
"I never meant that, I will always have regret with my parents...but meeting you has been the best things in my life. And it always will be." I said and saw her blush.
"Even though we had a rough start." I added and heard her laugh.
"Yeah, you can say that." She said and I grabbed her hip, leading us to the kitchen.
"Do you want anything to eat?" I asked her and she shrugged.
"Do you think...we could make a cake?" She said quietly.
"If you, want. Baking relaxes me, and right now, I think I really need that after a day like this one." She said and I pinned her against the wall.
"Ofcourse, but don't I make you feel relaxed?" I said and knew that my wolf was coming out.
"Yyeahh.." She stuttered and I smirked. I teased her, trailing kisses up her neck, stopping at her lips, and pulled away.
"You can't do that!" She said and I smiled, knowing I had that much of a reaction to her, how much she wanted to kiss me.
"How about that cake?" I said and she grumbled.
"Oh, it's on. She said and I knew there was a double meaning to that.
Making a cake.
...And waiting until the other one caves in to the pull, to want a kiss.
Obviously, I was going to win, my little mate didn't stand a chance.
OMG people I'm truly sorry. Its been weeks since I've updated! :( Exams had come up, and I just really lost track of time, and how you wanted to see more Chase and Emma action..
Who will cave in first? And what's wrong with Emma...her mysteriously healing? Vote & Comment!
Oh, and next chapter I will show what Chase, Emma and I don't know about Alice, but what they look like. Sorry for the grammar issues....
