"we go in there guns a blazin'" jj said looking at ren to finish his sentence, "and make ward cameron beg for mercy," she finished for him, making him smile.
"abscond with as much gold as possible and vámanos, get the hell out of there," jj told them.
"send that shit right down the intracoastal," john b said,
"wait for weather," kiara said,
"exit to cuba," pope finished,
"cuba?" both jj and ren asked,
"no man, xcalak, jewel of the yucatan," jj said, which made ren high five him. "lobsters so thick, mangoes and no word for money,"
"i like the sound of that," ren smiled.
"let's do this shit," john b said seriously.
they arrived at the airstrip and got out of the van, waiting by the fence.
"now what?" ren asked
"what's the plan? broad strokes," kiara asked
"i don't think we got that far," john b said,
"they're loading up the gold," pope looked into the binoculars,
"there's ward," ren said pointing at the man, "bastard."
john b took his binoculars from his eyes and looked hurt,
"what?" kiara asked noticing his mood change.
"it's sarah," john b whispered,
"she's with him?" pope questioned in disbelief.
"wait a minute." john b said, "he's hurting her,"
"what?" ren yelled,
"oh my god he's right, john- john b what are you doing?" ren asked noticing the boy was not standing near her anymore but was getting in the van.
"ren come on!" jj pulled her out of the way as the others were yelling at john b to stop.
he drove right through the fence and was following the plane,
"what are you doing?!" jj yelled running up to the fence.
"john b!" they all ran up to the fence but stopped when they reached it, yelling for him to come back.
as john b got closer and closer to the plane, ren's anxiety grew.
"what is he doing?" she yelled
john b turned the van sideways to face the airplane but ward kept going. he wasn't stopping.
"oh my god!" ren hid her face in jj's t-shirt, not wanting to witness what was about to happen.
a few seconds later, jj pulled ren off him and showed her that john b was okay, and that ward had stopped.
the group heard sirens getting closer which made them all get scared and confused.
"i can't go back to jail!" ren yelled,
"i'm on probation," jj said
"look, we're no good if we're all in jail," kiara pointed out,
"come on," pope said following kiara away from the scene.
