— chapter 2 —
all you can eat.

walking into class the next day keiji couldn't help but keep his mind stuck to what y/n had said to him last night.
she was sick and doesn't know how much time she had left. it made him sick to his stomach.
the thought of her leaving him was something he couldn't imagine. the boy had stayed up all night not being able to get a wink of sleep because of so.
but akaashi had to keep a happy aura for her. he didn't want to add to the stress she may be feeling and only wanted her to be happy.
as for y/n herself she felt the same way. not only did she want to keep a bright look for herself but she did it for her boyfriend.
she wanted to enjoy every moment with him.
so now walking into class she spotted her boyfriend who's attention was on his phone till he spotted her.
"hi keijii," she sang sitting down beside him with a piece of paper in her hand.
the boy eyed the paper as she turned her chair to face him placing the paper in the middle of the two.
"what's on the paper?" he asked genuinely curious as it was flipped over the writing not visible.
"well with the circumstances and such of my health i wanted to make a mini bucket list of things to do with you. t-that's only if you're okay with it!"
akaashi glanced up from the paper to see y/n fiddling with her fingers nervously as she was glancing down at the floor.
he couldn't help but admire her cuteness in awe grabbing her hand in his giving it a light squeeze.
"of course i'm alright with it y/n," he gave her a genuine smile to which she beamed back. "now let's see this list."
y/n's energy perked up at akaashi's interest in the list flipping it over to show him.
as the boy read the list and y/n began explaining each and every one of them, he couldn't help but feel his heart shatter.
this list just allowed him to fully sink in that she may or may not be here for long.
"all you can eat?" was what had caught his attention first as he pointed to the writing on the paper.
"ooo yes i was going to ask to do that first! i want to go try a bunch of all you can eats here in tokyo since there's so much i haven't tried yet!"
"isn't that going to be a lot of food?"
"ehh maybe but i can handle it," she smiled in reassurance to which he nodded warily in response.
"okay we can do that first."
at akaashi's words y/n couldn't help but squeal in excitement receiving glances from the other students but when realizing that it was the typical ball of sunshine they averted their attention away.
everyone found the pairing of akaashi and y/n quite intriguing to say the least.
the two were exact opposites in the sense that y/n was a ball of energy whereas akaashi rarely showed any emotion.
but it just worked. the two bounced off each other in a perfect harmony making them the perfect couple.
everyone admired the two.

"how many all you can eats do you have in mind?" akaashi asked as the two exited the school together.
"uhh... 4," she mumbled quietly as she was scared of her boyfriends reaction.
keiji's eyes widened at her words looking from the roads to her. "4?! that's a lot you know."
"yeah yeah but i promise i'll be able to handle it and i'll pay for everything since i'm dragging you along!" she reasoned hoping he would accept it.
akaashi only let out a sigh in response kissing the girls head before moving his hand from hers to wrap around her waist pulling her closer to him.
"alright but i'm still paying."
with that the two started a small argument of who was going to pay as they made their way to the first location.
in the end they both agreeed to pay for 2 places each as norther gave up on the argument.
three locations later the couple finally arrived at the final location and akaashi couldn't help but notice y/n's pained expression.
"sweetheart i told you not to order the extra sushi at the last location. i knew you weren't going to have enough space left."
"I couldn't help it keiji the sushi was sooo good!" she exclaimed as she held onto the boys' arm for support. she was quite tired from eating all the food after all.
"maybe we should just skip the las—"
"no!" y/n nearly yelled as she straightened her posture.
noticing that she had spoken too loud her face beamed a bright red as she looked down at the pavement.
"i-i mean i saved the best place for last. it was the all you can eat i always went with my parents to when i was a child. i just wanted to have it for maybe my last time," the girl drifted off.
just the softness in her tone had hurt the setters heart squeezing her hand slightly.
"alright. but you better not over eat."
walking into the last all you can eat y/n couldn't help but feel all giddy as she hadn't been to the place in a while.
this restaurant was her entire childhood and she was estatic to be there again.
of course her extra gleam of happiness didn't go unnoticed by her boyfriend as akaashi only watched his girlfriend in amazement as she began picking off food from the tablet.
"i haven't came here in years," she sighed as she propped her elbows on the table putting her chin in her hands.
"how come?"
"parents just began to get busy and such. i didn't want to bother them with going and didn't want to go alone. i would've asked you but i couldn't find the right time," she admitted.
he only nodded in response the two conturing their conversation just until the waitress had arrived with their food.
the ladies eyes had widened at the sight of y/n who's attention was on akaashi.
"oh my god y/n is that you?!"
the girl turned her attention to the waitress to which her face beamed even more with excitement.
"sato-senpai! you still work her?!"
"of course i do sweetie. still friends with the owner so couldn't leave them alone to handle this place," she laughed as she placed their food on the table.
"what's with the sudden thought to come here? i haven't seen you in years."
at her words y/n could feel a frown tugging her lips but tried her best to avoid so as she spoke to the lady. "oh just wanted to take my boyfriend to the place i basically grew up at."
akaashi himself had been only paying attention to the two the entire time happy of the excitement y/n had in her tone but couldn't help but noticed how she had lied just now.
"oya boyfriend?" the lady turned to keiji giving him a gentle smile.
"akaashi keiji, nice to meet you sato-senpai."
"oh akaashi?! y/n this was the cute boy you mentioned to me when in midd—"
"okay okay sato-senpai!" y/n cut her off as her face turned beet red.
"haha sorry honey i'm just teasing you!" she ruffled her hair playfully. "okay well i'll leave you two to enjoy yourselves but i want to see you more often alright y/n?"
y/n saluted the women giving her a goofy smile before she left to go attend to other customers.
"she's nice," akaashi teased the girl as she was still flustered from before.
"yeah she is, but can say some crazy things at times."
"like how you told her i was cute in middle school?"
"i-uhh okay stop teasing me!" the girl exclaimed stuffing her hands in her face.
i'm sorry babe," he laughed quietly ruffling her hair. "if it makes you feel any better i thought you were very cute when i first met you."
at that the girls eyes perked up in surprise. "really?!"
keiji nodded in response taking his chopsticks to grab the sushi that was on the side of the table.
with that the two continued eating their meals as y/n talked to keiji about all the funny memories she had coming to this restaurant.
the boy only allowed her to ramble on and on genuinely interested in her childhood.
as the couple exited the restaurant waving one last goodbye to sato-senpai y/n happily skipped down the streets of downtown tokyo her boyfriends arm linked with hers.
"what happened to being very full before?" he questioned glancing at the beaming y/n who had taken a full 180.
"hmm it's all gone now! i could honestly go for some boba."
akaashi sweatdropped at the girls words as he was so confused of how she still had space in her stomach for such a small person.
but nonetheless the expression on her face was just too cute that he couldn't say no.
"okay let's go then."
"haha yes i knew you would allow it," she smiled wrapping her arm around his broad one as they walked towards the boba shop.

"oi you said that you didn't want any!" y/n exclaimed as akaashi took another sip of her boba.
the girl loved her boyfriend so much and would do anything for him, but when it came to her boba she never allowed anyone to touch it.
the setter only grinned in response as he chewed on the sweet tapioca.
as y/n tried to reach for her drink akaashi pulled his arm back playfully as he attempted to take another sip.
"babee! stop being such a tsundere! and you're stealing all the tapioca, that's the best part!"
with how tall the boy was and how short she was it was nearly impossible for the girl to reach for the bubble tea. so after a few seconds she gave up a small pout on her lips.
akaashi let out a closed mouth chuckle in response catching y/n's attention as he leaned towards her kissing her on the lips.
the girl happily returned it but was surprised when the boy suddenly slide his tongue on the bottom of her lip causing her to let a small gasp. with her mouth now open he slipped something in before pulling back.
"better?" he smirked as he watched the girl turn a bright red as her mouth was slightly agape the tapioca in her mouth.
she only grumbled in response as they finally arrived at y/n's house akaashi not forgetting to give her a goodbye kiss as it was a ritual they did that he would never forget.
